Officer narrowly avoids being hit during DUI stop in Ohio

Welcome back. This next story shows the importance of paying attention to the road. A police officer in Toledo, Ohio, was conducting a traffic stop when this happened. Take a look. Terrifying. Talk about a close call. Really couldn't have gotten much closer than that. The officer had pulled a suspected drunk driver over and was conducting a field sobriety test when it happened. So let's take another look at this from a different angle. How much alcohol have you had to drink tonight? Um, like, a drink. I'll have you step on out real quick. I just want to make sure you're okay to drive, okay? Night 1942. Turn around and come back this way. Yeah, yeah, go, go, go, go. You almost ran us over, man. What's going on? I kind of, like, looked down to look at the radio, to switch the radio station, and I looked up and boom. What drugs did you take? I took no drugs. You can't even stand up straight. Wow. Oh my gosh. It really is amazing that no one was hurt. Goodness. After conducting sobriety tests on the drivers, both were arrested and charged with operating a vehicle while impaired. What are the odds that two impaired drivers would be involved? It's a miracle no one ended up hurt or worse. Yeah, exactly. Close.
