Burgers with Buck: The Local No. 7

You know the song and you know what time it is. You know exactly what this means. So, hey, here's a question for you. What do Cristiano Ronaldo, Mickey Mantle... John Elway, Pistol Pete Maravich, Pudge Rodriguez, and Michael Vick all have in common. That was a long list, right? They all famously wore the number seven. And to answer your question, no, Buck is not about to eat seven burgers, although he probably could. But he is headed to a place in Tucker where the number seven is quite significant. All right, this week, Burgers with Bog, we are on Main Street in Tucker, hanging out with Louie, hanging out with television's Caitlin Pratt. We are at the local number seven. How we doing, man? Good. How about you? Doing great. How we doing, ma'am? I am looking forward to... This right here. But I know we've got to talk first. We've got to talk first. You don't want to talk. You just want to eat, right? We're glad to have you, Caitlin. All right, let's start with this. The Local No. 7. That's not just some random name. There's this whole seven thing you've got going. Tell us about that. Yeah, Local 7. There's a history book of Tucker with the number seven in it. There are seven original schools, seven original post offices around the area. We're seven miles from Decatur, seven miles from Atlanta. It's kind of a big history with the number seven, so we chose that as our number. And I'm eating seven burgers today, right? Seven burgers, of course. Okay, yeah, all right. All right. This one's a regular here, I understand. Yeah, I see her every now and then. Yeah, okay, so this is kind of one of your hangouts. So listen, if you want to see her out and about, this might be the spot. Tell me about, from your perspective, the local number 7. It's one of those spots you can just pop in and, you know, you can just come as you are. Right? It's nothing fancy, and I don't mean that in a bad way. That's good. You can just come as you are and enjoy some good food, consistently good. Come as you are. She just happened to be wearing a hamburger shirt today, which really worked out well. All right, so... A little bit of backstory here. Kaitlin's been telling me about this burger for a long time. I think this might be your favorite, if not certainly one of your favorite burgers around. So I want you, before we ask him about it, I want you to tell me about it. What's it called first? It's just our house burger right now. I was looking for a name. It's been a special, and then it'll be on our next menu. All right, the house burger, KP style. I don't know. We can work on that. Tell me about the house burger, Kaitlin, and why you like it so much. There's something to be said when... Basics, the basics are done right, right? I'm not a fancy person. I like simple, simple food, but food that tastes good and is consistent. So I know when I order it, it's going to be good, right? It's going to be worth every bite, every calorie, all the things. And I couldn't quite nail if there's like a special sauce in there or not, but... It was good. Whatever was happening with pickles and yes. You ready to find out? Yeah, let's do it. Build this for us, Louie. Tell me how you put this thing together from bun to bun. We got our perfectly toasted bun, perfectly seasoned two smash burgers, four ounces a piece, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, and as you said, our special sauce, which is just something special. It's top secret, isn't it? Top secret. Yeah, okay. All right, so I'm going to have the pleasure of trying this one today. We're going to make her try something new. Correct. Right? So what is this one? This is our buffalo burger. That's an eight-ounce patty, 100% Angus beef, blue cheese crumbles, bacon, and buffalo sauce. All one of our favorites. Are you a little nervous about having her try something new when you know this is her favorite? Is she going to have co-favorites, or what do you think? It's going to be a battle with what she gets next time. We'll have to see. All right. Any tips, anything I need to know before? You got the tots, I got the rings, I see. But anything, any recommendations or tips? Make sure you just smoosh it down. I got a bigger mouth than you. You know that. We do know that. I don't know. I'm not so sure, actually. I usually say that, but I'm not so sure this time. But we'll talk about that later. You sure you don't want to do the old switcheroo? Are you ready to try the new one? I'm ready to try something new. I like Caitlin's favorite burger a lot. Trying to figure out a name that works in Caitlin or Pratt or something on that. Yeah. All right. Now how about you? This is really good. I mean, perfect temperature, meat-wise. And the crumble on top. Mmm. So good. Do we have a new favorite, or are you ready to go on that? You're sticking a stick? Okay. Yeah. Tried and true. A little birdie told us that the local number seven will be serving Gator Bites on Saturday, tomorrow, during the Georgia-Florida game. The local number seven in Tucker is located in... Well, I just said in Tucker, what I'm trying to say is that it's open daily at 11 a.m. They close at nine Sunday through Thursday and they stay open until 10 on Friday and Saturday.
