Hi guys, welcome to the second episode of my mini-series
of how to make super healthy and delicious smoothies.
Today I'll be showing you how to make blueberry
and watermelon smoothie.
Right here I've got my ingredients.
We've got yellow and red watermelon.
Now yellow watermelon is not very common in the UK or Europe,
but I'm in Thailand so I thought I'd give it a try.
We've got some spinach, some basil leaves and some blueberries.
Now blueberries are really good for you, full of antioxidants.
Now let's get started and make the smoothie.
Watermelons are mostly water, about 92%,
but this refreshing fruit is soaked with nutrients.
Each juicy bite has a significant levels of vitamins A,
B6, C, antioxidants and amino
acids.
Okay, so all my ingredients are ready.
The first thing we're going to do is blend our watermelon.
Now I've taken out the seeds.
If you've got a seedless watermelon, use that.
So we're just going to put it all into a blender
and I'm using about 4 cups of watermelon here.
Now we're going to add our spinach and basil.
Lastly, we're going to add some frozen blueberries.
It's just to make
the smoothie nice and cold.
Here we go, beautiful watermelon blueberry smoothie.
I'm going to give it a try.
You can really taste the sweetness from the blueberries.
And it's just so light and fresh, very refreshing,
especially the watermelon basil in those hot summer days.
