Winners of 'Halloween Spirit' competition show off their houses in Sault Ste. Marie

Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. Subtitles by the Amara.org community I have 10 clown animatronics. Me and my daughter actually dress as clowns for Halloween and we hide in our porch and we scare people. The animatronics are pretty cool. Cotton Candy Dan is my favourite. Nozzles the Clown was my first one. I bought my first one actually in 2022 and that was again Nozzles the Clown and everyone who came here that year loved it. So I just continued to buy more clown animatronics so and I don't buy anything else but clowns. I just remember it being super busy as a kid and lots of houses decorated. I just like the spookiness so yeah I really enjoy startling people I guess and scaring them. I just want Halloween to be what it used to. I just want I love that people more people are decorating getting into it more now. I just want the kids to have fun like I did as a child. We always liked Halloween and had smaller displays and I guess when COVID started we decided to do something for the community and say you know what let's put stuff and invite people to come and see it and it grew from there right so we have a walkthrough as you'll see through the trailer through the front porch and then through another gazebo walk all the way around and It's impressive. A lot of people really enjoy it. We have repeat people coming almost every night to look at it. And Halloween's the one time of year where people don't judge you, right? You can be anything you want to be and be as crazy as you want to be and you're accepted. So I kind of found an acceptance in this, right? So this is the third year now we're doing this. We're collecting for Christmas cheer and everybody's very supportive. Like we have tons of non-perishables, a good amount of cash. So it's nice. This is actually my second year doing a Halloween with all the animatronics. Uh... I previously lived in a very small property prior to this house and I couldn't even do any of this. So, first chance I got, I did this right away. I just got into it because I just needed a new hobby and this is my new hobby. I started doing this and just wait for next year, probably have some more stuff on the lawn. So we have these two 15-footers. The heads actually do move. They're motion activated. I don't have them turned on because it's way too windy right now. I get bored and then as soon as I see another empty spot, I go look online, see what I could buy, order it, and it goes up. Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays. Halloween is actually my Christmas. Merry Christmas. I do stuff for Christmas but Halloween like I could bring I could put all this stuff out no problem at all and I don't have to worry about the snow ruining everything. That's why I started really early because I have then I'll have at least two months for everyone to see all around me and especially in this neighborhood new families lots of kids. I have no kids I'm not doing this for me I'm doing this for the neighborhood like I enjoy it don't get me wrong but I'm doing it for everyone else.
