What's Really Behind Tutankhamun's Wall

Is there a hidden chamber behind the painted wall of Tutankhamun's tomb - and could it be the lost burial of Queen Nefertiti? Right now, Egypt is being asked for permission to drill an 8-centimetre hole 20 metres down into the hill above KV62. This documentary follows the eleven-year search, from a high-resolution copy of the burial chamber wall to the radar scans, the "ghost" echoes, and the new 2026 microgravity study that reopened the case!

In 2015, Egyptologist Nicholas Reeves noticed straight lines under the paint of the north wall in Factum Arte's facsimile of the tomb and proposed that the tomb was only the outer part of a larger one. A Japanese radar survey seemed to agree, and Egypt's antiquities minister said he was 90% sure. National Geographic's engineers found nothing. An Italian team brought three radars and called the earlier signals ghosts. In 2018 the case was declared closed - until a team led by Mamdouh Eldamaty published new gravity measurements pointing to straight-edged shapes in the rock north of the burial chamber.

Why Reeves thinks the antechamber and burial chamber were once a single corridor
What the plaster, the paint and Howard Carter's own records reveal
Why Tutankhamun's tomb "turns the wrong way" and what that may mean

How ground-penetrating radar, thermal imaging, resistivity, muon imaging and microgravity work - and why they disagree
What ancient tomb robbers knew about the door
The proposed borehole and what a camera might find
