Alright, trick or treat is tomorrow for many and I'm sure many people
were out tonight celebrating Halloween on Halloween Eve.
Meteorologist Ramisha Shade is joining us in the Weather Center.
Ramisha, are we going to have a wet trick or treat night tomorrow?
I think what we went through this evening and tonight,
Caroline, is probably worse than what
we'll have around tomorrow night.
So maybe we've gotten through the worst of it and things get a
little drier from here, but hopefully you're able to get out
and have your fun tonight, even with
the rain in some areas. So I think it's going to be a combo of tricks
and treats with our weather
for this Halloween weekend.
I think most of the rain tomorrow will be early. So by six, seven,
eight o'clock should be fading
and you should be able to throw on your costumes and go out and
Collect your candy, have some fun with friends.
Friends, family for trick-or-treating and other events.
Now, as we jump ahead to next week, Tuesday.
Cold front rolls through and that means election day could
be on the stormy side with some heavy rain,
frequent lightning, strong winds, hail, all of the above.
So we'll have to talk about that in just a minute.
But right now, nothing severe out there. Just a couple of areas
of showers that are hanging on tonight east of Liberty and Baytown
and a few more showers back towards Katy, Brookshire,
right along I-10 and that is starting to push up into Jersey Village.
Most of this rain will kind of start to fade,
wind down overnight, but this model has some
of these heavy downpours kind of redeveloping tomorrow morning.
So I think the best shot for any isolated street flooding would
be over towards places like Liberty and Anahuac,
maybe down towards Galveston, but the chance is very low.
I think a lot of the rain will be gone by lunchtime tomorrow,
but this particular model or high resolution by five, six o'clock.
Paints a few more showers popping up
for the late afternoon and early evening.
So that's right around trick-or-treat time, 6, 7 o'clock.
So it's still a close call with our trick-or-treat forecast.
But I think overall, most of the rain will be gone by tomorrow night.
It's a higher 50% chance earlier.
Limited rain Sunday and Monday.
And then rain chances all the way up to 70% for Election Day.
So if you early voted, then that was a good thing.
You don't have to worry about it.
But, of course, there could be some wet roads,
delays, and some heavy rain in some of those lines.
to go vote for Tuesday.
Trick-or-treat forecast for tomorrow, though,
not calling for heavy rain.
I think the scattered showers are going to be early,
mostly before 7 o'clock.
I think most areas look okay,
and temperatures are feeling good in the 70s.
If you're looking for some indoor fun
and nice action tomorrow,
of course, we've got the Rockets
playing their Halloween game
out at the Toyota Center,
and another...
Really good game tomorrow.
OKC Thunder, hey, that's a good team.
So this should be exciting to watch,
and those temps should be in the 70s.
And, of course, it's inside,
so you don't have to worry about any rain,
but most of it should be gone.
Also, Kanye West out there
performing at Reliant Stadium tomorrow
at 8 p.m., 75 degrees for the start of that concert.
That should be a good one, too.
And, of course, we get to enjoy that extra hour of sleep
late Saturday, early Sunday
as daylight saving ends
and that new sunset time at 5:34 p.m.
So hey, you got to get adjusted once again to a new schedule.
Hopefully it doesn't throw you off too much.
Now let's jump ahead to next week, Tuesday to be specific.
That's our election day.
Still looking like we have a decent chance
for widespread rain during the morning,
maybe into the afternoon as a cold front rolls through.
And there could even be a few strong
to severe storms ahead of that front.
So just make sure you have a way to get alerts.
Make sure that you're a little patient if you're going out
to vote Tuesday because that could kind of interrupt things
and cause some delays with the voting process. So it is going
to be stormy for Tuesday as we go into Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Of course, that's behind the front, much drier air.
That fall chill returns will have temps in the 70s for highs Wednesday,
Thursday and Friday and overnight lows in the 50s.
And it's probably going to be a few spots,
maybe Conroe College Station up to the 40s or dipping to the 40s.
As we go into Wednesday night and Thursday morning.
So stormy Tuesday, but a nice fall chill behind that next front.
