'He is happy here' - Arteta on Rice's Arsenal future

Well, I think he's been very consistent. Again, I think what we are demanding him to do every year, it's very difficult to maintain. He's doing it. Big credit to him. And big players for big matches. And we know the kind of performance that we need from Dec and the rest of the boy to get away from there with the three points. Yeah, my feeling is that he's very happy here. Every conversation I have with him, he wants to continue here for the long term. And it will be a matter of time when we resolve that. Fair and unfair. There are opinions. The reality as well, last year I wasn't suspended for a single match. I will try to do my best. I think the rules are becoming harder and harder. It's something that I don't do consciously, otherwise I would not do it. I'm just trying to help my team, try to help the players as much as possible to win the match. That's the only objective and the perception. Yeah, it would depend on... On which parts you carry in your heart, probably.
