Thank you, we're
starting to sign.
Yep, we're good.
What's
up,
bud?
I've always got it in my...
What?
Thank you
very much.
Not in front, please.
It looked like it was a big opportunity out
there for you today with this season, how
it's gone.
So, yeah, the car's been looking really
good all weekend, hasn't it, relatively?
Correct.
All right, I can sense the frustration,
but looking ahead to tomorrow, I mean, can you
still do something?
Not from the back.
Very big surprise this morning.
I'm always here to be a reserve driver. This is a role for myself.
I was always ready, but always dreaming about it.
Then today, dream come true. Fortifying today and race tomorrow.
Just like this 12 hours passed so fast.
I had so much to prepare and the team helped a lot for myself.
Really thanks to the team.
The new set of tires we put on in Q2 just had no grip,
so I'm not sure what happened there, but yeah,
the balance was completely different somehow,
so yeah, I don't really know what happened.
I'm sure we'll have a look, but yeah, just very, very bizarre.
What happened yesterday didn't need to happen,
so I went to see Mags this morning to apologise.
I apologize.
And yeah, obviously now it puts us back in place,
so we need to try and move forward tomorrow.
But we're both leading the midfield, which is positive.
We can use that, hopefully, to our advantage tomorrow.
I'm just not quick enough, that's all.
I mean, my lap was just incredible in Q2 to fit me P1.
Very unrealistic in terms of achieving that again in Q3.
So, nothing much. I'm pretty happy with P6.
I can't ask a lot more. I'm happy with the job I did.
With the car I have, so yeah.
I had one car on my right where you normally want
to open up the corners, so it's a bit
of an awkward angle then how you have to go into the hairpin,
plus you lose your reference
on the right hand side where you are constantly looking,
because it's a difficult corner to
get right.
And yeah, that then killed my lap,
but I think for me the most promising is of course how
we turned it around, because in practice I
was not very happy and then the qualifying
was good.
I mean, we were fighting for pole for sure.
Yeah, it was tricky for everyone I think. I just feel like I didn't
do a good enough job out there and didn't have the most confidence.
Definitely I've been a bit more tense this weekend than usual.
But yeah, still a lot to play for tomorrow.
No, I didn't do a good job and Lewis did a great job
and it's as simple as that.
Unfortunately, it was very difficult
to put the tyres in the right window again
and I really struggled with that.
In Q3, I had a clean-out lap finally,
but I anticipated quite badly what will happen with the car
and I just struggled.
It was quite surprising for me.
We didn't feel in that fight all day really
and I'm very glad to have pulled it off when it mattered,
But I still would like
More consistency. We're either doing very good laps or very bad laps.
We're not doing anything in between.
I always have this faith that the performance is in there,
but just struggling to unlock it more consistently.
It's impossible to rank 105 pole positions.
They've all been unique in their own way.
I would say it feels more special
in this period where it's like they're not every week.
It's been years since I've had one,
and it's the first one with Ferrari in red.
Now I've had a pole position in three different teams,
which is pretty phenomenal.
And also just all the questions that people have about a 40-year-old,
whether a 40-year-old's still got it. There you go.
