I'm
doing
my
best,
you
know,
every
time,
every
lap
I
do,
every
morning
I
wake
up,
every
preparation
I do, every, you know, food I take,
everything is focused on performing at my best behind
the wheel, but I'm not able to, yeah, to accumulate enough laps.
I was trying to learn from the others what they are doing.
Maybe the first stint was really tough,
didn't have the pace, but I learned a lot.
After the safety car with the C5, I had more confidence.
Then after the safety car, the very last stint,
I had much more confidence and then passed
two cars.
So yeah, I'm happy to finish like that.
Well, I'll speak with Lewis. I think we both didn't make the corner.
I don't know if Lewis' point was for me to get P3,
but at least having a Red Bull second, I felt it was worth it to kind
of keep the position and see what happens. That's what I did.
And yeah, I mean, I could be also unhappy with how much he pushed
me off the track out of turn one, but I think it's racing.
When you are fighting for a win, it's the way it should be.
I want to remember, you know, for us as a family to be able
to live this and experience these momentums with them.
Thank you very much.
It means a lot to me in my career.
It was tough. I mean, it was a good battle with Charles.
He defended very, very well.
Well, um...
So it was impossible. I was kind of hoping he made a mistake.
But even when he did, it was in the tight twisty bit where it
was too difficult to get past.
So it was good fun, but the potential was...
Ah.
The potential was very strong today,
so I'm a little bit disappointed we couldn't achieve
more, but when I look at it, it was so difficult
to overtake with the speed limiter.
Yes, sir.
It was a shame that we couldn't do more and fight for more,
but yeah, I just want to watch
Kimi.
We did it.
We did it,
and I'm just so happy to be here now.
It's an incredible moment, incredible feeling,
and I'm very grateful for it.
All the opportunity that I was given, all the support,
the family, the friends that I have and to finally clinch it
is an incredible feeling and this will be a new point where to start
and build on again and try to get better because obviously we just want
to keep winning because it's the best feeling in the world.
It's easier to have a P1 and P2 today.
Can you take us back to that original start,
the wheel-to-wheel moments with Charles?
I'd rather not. I'd rather talk about Kimi.
Kimi just won the world championship, the youngest world champion ever.
I'd love to keep on that positive note.
I don't really have anything to say about the scenario with Charles.
I think you can see what happened and the reason we lost the win.
Amen.
But otherwise, I'm just really happy, really honoured to be up there
with Kimi and with Max, three world champions, pretty cool moment.
I think Ferrari today was really, really fast.
I do think they made it a little bit difficult for themselves, you
know, fighting each other and that's why I could capitalise on that.
But, I mean, I take it, right? I mean, I always try to go
for every opportunity and today I saw the opportunity.
It was a cool fight till the end, you know, Lewis was flat out
in my gearbox, so I could not afford to make a mistake.
