Halloween vandalism caught on camera

The new tonight here at 10 a quiet Halloween night turned into a troubling morning for a couple of Seminole Heights businesses. Both were vandalized, left with broken windows and questions about who's responsible. And now Tampa police are looking into whether these incidents are connected. Fox 13's Jennifer Vageless joins us now live in the newsroom. And Jennifer, you spoke with the business owner as you can only imagine she's probably feeling really unsettled by this. Yeah, Brianna, these two businesses are just two blocks apart. And for the owner of Hourglass Pilates, it was a pretty unnerving way to start her day. This was a close call, Halloween night, she was planning to begin decorating the studio for Christmas and typically she puts the Christmas tree right by that window. Fortunately at the last minute she decided to hold off and it was a client who called her in the morning to tell her about the broken window. Looking back at the cameras, she was appalled by what she saw around 2.30 this morning. Silver lining is how the community has responded. This morning one client's husband came to sweep up the glass and put up a tarp and another I couldn't tell if somebody threw something or if they shot at the window. It's a little hard to tell in the video. But then whenever the cops came this morning, they were here and they got another call about another location just a couple blocks down. And it was a bullet hole in that store. Is the McNats dry cleaners off of North Florida Avenue that was closed at the time as well. Today, it's covered with a tarp with some remaining pieces of glass on the ground over there. Now, Tampa police could not confirm whether these two incidents are linked, but if you saw anything or have any footage of either of these incidents, you are asked to contact Tampa police, Brianna. And hopefully they will get some answers to figure out who's behind this. Thank you, Jennifer.
