You all have allowed Russia to attack
your fellow nation without you doing anything about it.
Thank God again for President Trump for allowing NATO to give President
Zelensky, who I am a supporter of all of Ukraine,
to fight for Ukraine, Slava Ukraini
to get out there and get the Patriot missiles that they need.
How has Donald Trump changed America and the world in your view?
Well, you know, James, first of all, it's
always good to be with the LBC family.
Let me just say this.
You don't have to...
agree with President Donald Trump to acknowledge
that he has changed forever the political
landscape for the United States of America and the entire world.
Again, he has become
an unprecedented leader.
And again, one of the greatest signs of his impact is how much
He has been attacked.
By the legacy media and the mainstream media of not just
of the United States of America, but even as of the world.
And no leader has been attacked as much as he has.
And so the reality of it is we can never go back to the way it
was since Donald Trump and only a few moments in American history.
Do you have leaders that really changes
the entire landscape of political dominance in
the world?
And people like Ronald Reagan,
people like FDR, people like John F. Kennedy.
And so, again, Donald Trump is one of those presidents
that will go down in history, whether
Whether you liked him or not, as a leader that completely changed.
Not just in politics, but even in social society in America.
Donald Trump not only changed politics,
but he changed what it even means to be a Republican.
And so it can never go back to the way it
was prior to President Donald Trump.
I certainly agree with you.
He will go down in the history books as a highly significant president.
I suppose my question remains, what are his.
What are his notable achievements?
I mean, you talk about Reagan.
You can say Reagan helped bring about the end of the Cold War
and revive the American economy.
If you talk about FDR, you can say he brought in the New Deal
and he helped win the Second World War.
What are the notable achievements of the Trump presidencies?
Well, we could talk about immigration.
I mean, the United States of America,
prior to President Donald Trump, was an open field.
Everybody could come to the United States of America
prior to the Trump presidency.
The illegal immigration has come down to zero, zero percent, meaning
that there are no illegals entering the United States of America.
But not only that, look at Roe v. Wade.
This is something that is very dear.
This is a historical moment that conservatives have
been fighting for for 50-plus years.
Roe v. Wade, the overturning of federal protection for abortions.
It has now been pushed back down to the states.
This is a significant amount
of historical change under President Donald Trump.
The criminal reform bill, the criminal justice reform bill.
Hasn't been done in a very long time.
This is significant,
not just for black people or minorities in this country, but for all
Americans that have been unjustly arrested or keys thrown away.
But then you look at what's happening overseas.
Listen, the very fact that there's power
and strength in starting a war, but it's wisdom.
In preventing a war.
And that's exactly what Donald Trump has been doing. Doing things that
prevents war. The fact that now we control Venezuela oil
That is shutting down China
and also preventing Chinese influence with Iran.
And so the president is doing.
These significant things, jobs in our country has
been significantly a growth because of President Donald Trump.
Just look at the African-American community
that we had historical all time low in unemployment
in the history since the unemployment was recorded.
And all of this is done under President Donald Trump, along with women.
There are more women homeowners.
There are more women entrepreneurs
Well, let's drill down
into some of those.
I mean, you talk about wars, for example.
And obviously, when you are president of the United States,
you have a huge amount of influence,
not only over the lives of ordinary Americans, but over the world.
Many people say that the reason he won first in 2016
and then in 2024 was because he wanted
to end the so-called forever wars in the Middle East.
And it is true to say, in his first
term, America did not get engaged in any new wars.
But of course, it's very different in
his second term, not least with what is still going on in Iran.
Is that not a betrayal of the voters who elected him in 2024,
many of whom thought they were getting the opposite, thought they
were getting a man who would not get them entangled in Iran?
Yeah, that would make perfect sense if you didn't have a regime in Iran
that was actively trying to get a nuclear weapon to wipe off Britain
and the United States of America off the map.
The reality of it is our intelligence have shown very much clear
that and our internal intelligence on the ground
in Iran have made it very clear that Iran was at that time.
Amassing uranium to create a nuclear weapon.
This is what I meant early before.
It is easy to fight a war, but it is wisdom.
It takes wisdom to prevent a war.
And even when everyone is against us,
even the Great Britain, even Great Britain under
your prime minister against the United States of America.
For saving you, for protecting you.
Well, we weren't against, we didn't join the offensive strikes,
which is a subtle difference.
And even with Ukraine, I mean, let's just talk about that.
The very fact that this is a Europe war.
I mean, Ukraine is not fighting just against Russia.
Russia is not just fighting against Ukraine.
Russia is fighting against Europe.
This is the battle of Great Britain all over again.
And yet, you know, NATO and Great Britain and Germany
have been very slow to step up.
Thank God.
I would agree with you.
You know, for forcing NATO to do their job and protect this nation,
because Ukraine is not fighting just for Ukraine.
They're fighting for the entire continent of Europe.
Yeah, let's talk about Ukraine, because I 100 percent agree with you,
Pastor, that on the issue of defense spending in Europe,
we have not spent enough on our own defense
and we have for too long cowered under the American defense umbrella.
And the largesse of American military spending
in Europe, that's 100% right.
And Donald Trump is correct to say
that NATO needs to spend more on its own defence.
But the way he has engaged with Zelensky
and Putin has been disgraceful, has it not?
That shouting match in the Oval Office
of the White House at the start of 2025 with Zelensky,
someone who should be an ally, who leads a liberal democracy
that has been invaded by an expansionist tyrant.
The way he, every time the going gets tough,
seems to side with Vladimir Putin,
who is an enemy of the West, I think we can all agree.
And the fact that he said recently that Zelensky should
be replaced as Ukraine's president.
I mean, that is disgraceful, is it not?
Well, what is disgraceful is the fact that Europe,
and that includes Great Britain,
has allowed Russia to attack another European nation
and do nothing about it.
What is...
Horrible is Europe, including Great Britain,
allowed Russia to go out to the Donbass territory region to allow them
to go out to the Crimea without a shot fired by Great Britain,
who had promised back in 94 that they will support Ukraine.
As did the US. So why have you ceased intelligence sharing?
Absolutely. As should the United States.
And I've been saying this from day one.
Again, I remind the president this very thing.
But the reality of it is this is a European nation.
You are a European.
nation. You have allowed Russia to attack a European nation,
and you've done nothing about
it. So let's not talk about what Donald Trump has done.
Let's talk about what Great Britain
has done. Let's talk about what France has done.
Let's talk about what Germany has not done
for allowing this to happen.
You all have allowed Russia to attack your fellow nation without you
doing anything about it. Thank God again for President Trump.
For allowing NATO to give President Zelensky,
who I am a supporter of all of Ukraine, to
fight for Ukraine, Slava Ukrainii,
to get out there and get the Patriot missiles that
they need and get the weaponry that they need.
They are holding back the might of Russia,
not because of the help of Europe.
It is because of the United States of America has forced Europe
and NATO to do their jobs.
It's all under the leadership of the greatest president
in our lifetime, President Donald Trump.
So we won't talk about personalities.
We won't talk about what's insulting and what's not
insulting. What we will talk about is the fact that President Zelensky
and Ukraine has not been
wiped off the face of the planet
because of the leadership of President Donald Trump and now
forcing Europe, NATO, to do their job and protect the nation,
another fellow European nation.
Let's come on to the midterms on Tuesday,
a pivotal moment, really, in the Trump presidency.
And of course, there are all kinds of projections
that the Republicans may do quite badly on Tuesday,
both in the House and the Senate and various governor races as well.
How do you think they are likely to go, Pastor?
Because there is a sense that even
though Donald Trump has been very vocal on the campaign trail.
Even among some of his core supporters, there is a frustration
that he appears to be out of touch with, for example, the cost
of living pressures that they're under, the price of gas at the pumps.
And he seems to care less about their bills
and more about his ballroom.
Well, you know, I could tell you this. Historically, again, we have
a history of traditionally the president's second term normally during
the midterms traditionally do not do as well.
It is common almost in many cases, regardless if you're a Democrat
or Republican, when you are for the midterms,
traditionally the winning party does not do well.
And so if we do lose the House,
it would not be an unprecedented moment.
In American politics, and it's not a sign
that America despises Donald Trump and his policies.
No, this is something that happens historically.
But what I can say is, in areas like North Carolina, for instance,
there are massive millions of dollars by super PACs that were poured
into this purple state have now poured money out of North Carolina.
Things are shifting. Is it a chance?
There is a chance that we Republicans might take back
the great state of North Carolina.
But either or, I think it's going to be very challenging
for the Democrats to win both the House and the Senate.
They may or many are suggesting that
they will win the House.
But winning the Senate is going to be extremely challenging. They're
They're going to have to win four different seats.
And that's going to be very difficult,
even if they won three seats, which are in play.
Even if they won three seats, we still have the vice president's vote,
which will always break a tie
and Republicans still will maintain the Senate.
So there's there's a much uphill battle
for Democrats to win the Senate.
But the Republican side of the House, we.
Again, based off of the polls, and again,
but we don't really trust the polls because, remember,
those same polls were declaring Hillary Clinton was going
to be the first president of the United States of America.
It's true, it's true. The polls have consistently
underestimated particularly Donald Trump's support.
Of course, he himself is not personally on the ballot this time,
so we'll have to see what difference that makes.
But I wonder if it is a difficult night for the Republicans on Tuesday,
whether that will at least in part be because
of some of the candidates that have been selected.
Having been endorsed by Donald Trump. So if you take Texas,
for example, he could have re-endorsed Senator John Cornyn,
the incumbent Republican senator,
and that probably would have ended the race.
Cornyn probably would have been re-elected.
Instead, he's chosen this highly controversial candidate, Ken Paxton,
the incumbent attorney general in Texas. And I wonder if,
you know, if you look at him, Pastor, as a man of God yourself.
I wonder if you can understand how many Republicans
simply cannot bring themselves to vote for this man.
Because, for example, he was impeached by his own Republican colleagues
for allegations of bribery, abuse of office, obstruction of justice.
He was indicted over fraud allegations.
He attempted to force a woman to continue a pregnancy
the doctors said could not produce a surviving baby.
And despite being a self-professed champion
of Christian values, his own wife...
filed for divorce last year on biblical grounds, citing adultery.
Can you understand why many God-fearing Republicans in Texas
cannot bring themselves to vote for a man they consider to be immoral?
Well, you know, I think that goes back to the reality
that God uses imperfect people to carry out his will.
Again, David was an adulterer and a murderer,
but yet he still wrote the Psalms.
Peter was a foul-mouthed liar.
But yet, Jesus said, upon this rock, we shall build my church.
It became the greatest, most verbal apostle of all apostles.
Noah was an alcoholic.
Paul, who we have the epistles with,
was a murderer and a liar who cheated out on his own people.
So it doesn't matter what Ken Paxton has done?
No, I'm not saying it doesn't matter.
What I am saying is that we all have sinned
and fall short of the glory of God.
And you can have compassion for the sinner,
but you don't have to elect them to public office, do you?
Absolutely. But I'm still here to be able
to do what it is that we're called to do.
And maybe you've forgotten of a man by the name of Donald J. Trump.
Remember, Christians voted for him.
Hardly free of sin.
Wembley, yet his.
Previous lifestyle with marriages and other things
of that nature that pointed to someone that was that could have
been struggling at that time with a moral compass.
And that's not the case today.
He loves Jesus and he's he has a relationship with the living God.
But the reality of it
is people I can understand some Christians feel that way.
But we also know that God uses imperfect people like Ken Paxton.
God used imperfect people like Donald Trump.
God uses imperfect people like...
Mark Burns. And guess what? God uses imperfect people like you,
James, to spread the message all over the world.
One more example of a potentially imperfect person.
Vivek Ramaswamy, the Republican candidate for Ohio governor.
He released an attack advert the other week against
his Democratic opponent, a woman called Amy Acton,
that exploited the fact that Amy Acton was raped by her stepfather
when she was a child.
Is that in any way morally defensible? Should that attack advert?
Yeah, I don't agree with the attack ad.
I don't agree with attack ads general.
I mean, I was attacked myself when I ran for Congress,
having been endorsed by President Donald Trump,
having spent a lot of money in a real campaign
and then have false allegations coming out against me
like I have, like I lied about being in the military,
you know, and I didn't.
I served faithfully in the Army, National Guard,
South Carolina Army, National Guard,
but yet they ran these ads because CNN posted something about...
Twelve years ago about, you know,
I said I was in the Army Reserves and not the Army National Guard.
And then they twisted their words.
So I don't agree with attack ads at all.
I think we should run politics without attacking each other.
It really should be based off of policies.
And who is the.
Who is the wisest person, not who is hated the most.
And that's what American politics has become.
It's not about who is the greater man
or the greater woman or who will be the best for the job.
It's all about who is hated more
and what dirt can I get on the other person?
And not so much about what's going to be good for the country,
good for my pocketbook, good for my purse,
good for my children and their future.
We keep electing people.
And I'm not saying that's the case.
What Ramaswamy...
What I am saying is, I think whether they're Democrats doing attack ads
or Republicans doing attack ads or independents doing attack ads,
I think that should not really belong in American politics.
We should call out evil when evil is true.
That part is true.
So if you're beating on your wife and you're trying to run
for political office, we should call you out for that.
If you are...
Sleeping with little children
or stealing money from your own organization or from your church.
And you clearly live an immoral life that a person like you,
if you receive power, will abuse that power.
Then we most definitely should call these evils out.
But to do things like the attack ad against which has backfired
and it's actually hurting us, I believe, in the Ohio race.
This is the kind of a thing that we should stay away from.
And I completely disagree that that should even happen.
Just finally, Pastor,
one word to sum up the presidencies of Donald J. Trump.
The greatest. And that's two words.
Yeah, of course.
