In just 70 days, my plant has undergone an incredible transformation.
New shoots keep emerging,
flower spikes are developing,
and the first buds are beginning to appear.
This time, the secret to caring for my plants comes
from two very familiar kitchen ingredients.
Let's see how I use them.
First,
I
prepare
one
potato.
Then, I peel the
potato and keep
the skin for use.
Next, I prepare two banana peels.
Cut the banana peels into small pieces to make soaking
and extracting soluble substances
easier.
The potato peels
are also cut into small
pieces in the same way.
After preparing the ingredients, I put all
the potato and banana peels into a clean jar.
Add 1 liter of water to the jar
and stir well.
Let it
steep for a
few hours.
After soaking for a few hours,
I take out the mixture to continue preparing it.
I strain the mixture to remove all the solid residue
and collect the liquid.
Next, I add one liter of clean water to the filtered solution.
Stir well to dilute the mixture
and ensure it is evenly combined.
First,
I use a soft cotton pad
soaked in the solution.
Then, I gently wipe the entire leaf surface with the soft cotton pad,
from the base to the tip of each leaf,
ensuring the solution is evenly distributed.
Work slowly and gently, avoiding vigorous rubbing
that could scratch the leaves
or damage their natural protective epidermal layer.
At the same time,
gentle wiping also helps remove dust and impurities from the surface,
keeping the leaves clean and
allowing them to breathe more easily.
Use it only about one to two times per month,
with approximately 15 days between applications.
Do not wipe the leaves too frequently
to avoid solution buildup
on their surfaces.
It's wonderful that we can connect
with each other from all around the world.
It's wonderful that we can connect
with each other from all around the world.
I pour the solution into a spray bottle.
Then, spray a very light
mist over the leaf surfaces.
Banana peels contain potassium,
along with minerals such as calcium and magnesium, while
potato peels also provide additional potassium,
phosphorus, and natural organic compounds.
Some dissolved nutrients can be absorbed by the leaves,
helping provide additional minerals
to the plant.
Only try spraying it about 1-2 times per month,
with approximately 15 days between applications.
Apply a thin mist
and monitor how the leaves respond.
Finally, I use the remaining solution
to lightly water
the growing medium.
This helps bring some of the dissolved minerals
in the mixture into contact
with the root system.
I only use enough to moisten the growing medium,
avoiding excess water
accumulating in the pot.
Only try using it as a supplementary watering solution
one to two times per month, about 15 days apart,
and dilute it well.
Do not water on a fixed schedule
If the growing medium is still moist.
Prioritize the dryness of the growing medium and root system,
and avoid allowing organic
solution to accumulate
in the pot for too long.
And allow all
excess water
to drain away
after watering.
And here are the results
after 70 days of care.
The plant has changed noticeably
compared to how it looked
at the beginning.
Leaves are green,
healthy,
vibrant and firm.
Most importantly, the plant has started developing a flower spike
and its first flower buds.
Hope this care experience gives you another useful idea
for taking care of your garden.
