TNT taste test: Comparing top Tacoma reader-voted bubble tea spots

We recently asked readers what their favorite bubble tea or boba shop is in Tacoma, and these are the three winners. So my co-workers and I are going to try them and see if we rank them the same as our readers did. So this is from Jade Lounge, this is from Boba Tea Tea With Me, and this is from La Boba, and they are all classic milk teas with classic boba. All right, so I'm going to try them first. The boba is really soft and light and chewy. And the tea itself is really yummy and not too much sweet, it's perfect. This one, the boba is a little more chewy on this one and it's more tea-forward. This is more of a milk flavor, but this is like definitely tea, tea flavor. I feel like this tea has kind of a more like chocolatey flavor to it. The boba, I feel like is not the star, like it's good. It's not the star of the show though, I think like the drink itself is, but it's still like it's... It's still solid for sure. So I think this is my number one. I think this is in second place and I think this is in third place for me personally. Let's mix them up for the next person. Okay, now it is my turn. I'm gonna start with La Boba. It's good. Not as sweet as I would have imagined it to be, but yeah, overall it's pretty good. Okay, I like this one better already. It's richer. The Boba is like nice and chewy. Um, but yeah, I think this is like a little bit sweeter and richer, more of my type. So now on to the next one. Okay, that one's really sweet, especially compared to the others. There's, um... Yeah, a lot more milky. If you're a fan of the milky ones, I think this is a good one. But honestly, my ranking would be this one is number one. This one is number two. This one's number three. Okay, here we go. Chewy boba. Pretty classic, sweet, brown sugary taste. That one's pretty good. Okay this one. This one has more of a roasted taste. I don't know how to describe it. Maybe more of the tea. You can taste kind of the black tea coming out. This one tastes more like milk. And then this one. This one has stiffer boba. It's not as chewy. So I would probably say this one, this one, this one. One, two, three. So our readers had Jade Lounge winning by a landslide, far and above the best according to our readers. Second place was Boba TT with me, and then third place was La Boba. Thanks for watching.
