Poorna Jagannathan and Garret Dillahunt on That 'Weird' Scene in 'Lanterns'

Garrett, I mean, in episode four, you have this truly bonkers nude scene that I don't think any of us would have seen coming. Uh, what? What was your reaction? We almost forgot about that scene, Corey. Thank you for bringing it up. My pleasure. What was your reaction to, I guess, seeing that on the page, to shooting it? Well, you know, look, I was nervous about it. But But... I guess not super nervous, I don't know, and I just, there was enough time I could get ready, and everyone was ready, you know, I really am grateful to the whole team there. There was intimacy on site, the director and the DP did a lot of sort of pre-lighting and pre-planning to minimize the amount of time I'd have to be walking around, which is good news for everybody, you know, and I thought the actors, you know, like she said, everyone's just so pro, Oh, you know, this is not... anyone's first rodeo and so they they understood this it's a funny scene I mean it's a good scene weird yeah it's because it's so weird and he's just walking around playing records and talking to his daughter-in-law I mean like who does that you know and when the camera was not on Garrett and was just on us we insisted Garrett not put on a robe well I think I think I insisted that I was like I was like you know that's I'll be here for your eye line Yeah, you're immersed in the character. You couldn't possibly. I'm like, corners, my eyes are up here. Thank you. Bye. Bye. Bye.
