How's everyone doing out there? I hope you're all absolutely spot on.
Now I've been shopping to Home Bargains.
Come and have a look what I've got.
A few videos back I did a Home Bargains curry. Beef Madras.
Very, very good it was as well if you want to check that video out.
So I picked this up while I was there.
Mayhaw Kitchen. Chicken Makhani Masala. Two chilli rating.
There is the serving suggestion. Oh, that does look good, doesn't it?
So this was a recommendation following
on my last video a few videos ago.
So the price £3.29.
Yes, Home Bargains Bargain supermarket.
So let's take a closer look at the packaging.
I just put my glasses on. We'll have a look.
I tell you what, we'll just open it up.
It's frozen solid anyway. Home Bargains Chicken Makhani Masala.
It's got allergens of milk and almond in there.
I did a little bit of research to see what sort of
curry this is and it is north northern indian curry
and it's rich tomato creamy and butter based
oh that sounds good to me um so it's keep frozen 24th
of december 27th next year gb stamp 400
grams not 40 you and we've got some spill there
cooked marinated chicken breast pieces and a rich
creamy tomato curry i've just told you curry sauce
with aroma aromatic spices
So there's the allergens in there are in bold.
We've got cooked marinated chicken is 35%.
Yeah. So we've got allergy advice which we've covered in bold. May also
contain traces of peanut and other tree nuts and the sesame.
Cooking guidelines. Appliances may vary.
Oven cook from frozen or you can do it in the microwave.
It's a ping meal isn't it.
Got some nutritional information in more detail there. In fact there's
not a traffic light system on the front is there.
So there it is. There's the nutrition.
We've got a warning. Although every care has
been taken to remove bones some may remain.
When removing film lid after cooking
do so with caution as a hot steam may escape.
Handle carefully to avoid scalding.
Ooh.
Storage keep frozen if defrosted do not refreeze.
We'll have a look around here and on the top
and underneath which we've done and if I do
miss anything out I'll put it in the description
of the video with links to other videos so let's
I'm going to do it in the microwave
so I've got a feeling I have to pierce the film lid
several times which I'll do and I'll pop it in the microwave
and I'll show you that.
So I'm home alone and I'm just having this for myself.
It's definitely one portion.
You don't get any rice.
So I'm doing it in the microwave.
Now if you can do it in the oven, big oven,
make sure, well you don't have to but it would
make sense and that's coming from me.
Making sense, yeah, is quite rare.
Utilise your oven if you're going to do a few dishes,
put them both in and stick onion
bhajis in there, naan breads in there as well and yeah.
But this is going in the microwave.
I have pierced the film lid several times,
it goes in for nine minutes, nine minutes, nine minutes at
100, I was going to say 180 degrees but it's in the microwave.
Oh what's my left hand doing to
What am I doing to my right? Oh, I don't know, that's wrong isn't it?
The left hand doesn't know what my right hand's doing.
So I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for watching
and also if I could be a pain
and ask you to kindly subscribe to the channel
if you're not already subscribed it does help
the channel and if you could give the video
a thumbs up I can't ask for any more than that I
do thank you kindly. So it's had it's uh it's had six minutes
so let's do the seal peel test so
let's see if this works oh yeah look at that so we need
to give it a quick stir it's still a bit
A bit frozen in the middle.
Look at that chicken, oh, 35%.
The last one had good bits of beef in it as well.
Won't give it away if you want to watch it and you're not seeing it.
Oh, it smells good as well.
It does, yeah.
Just need all the other bits and bobs to go with it.
Right, it's going back in the microwave
for another three minutes to finish off.
It's done.
Let's have a look at this then.
It's smelling really good, it really is.
That's the way it's all working out.
Fatty slick on top of there and tasty goodness.
There's your chicken.
It is quite runny.
Yeah.
um obviously you get some rice and all the other bits and bobs
but uh it's a butter dish rich and creamy with tomato
butter there you go that'll probably explain
the oil slick right i've got these lovely little
dishes my mum got us these i've mentioned them on the channel before
so i'm going to get it all in there you know um
there's the chicken look yeah i'm quite happy with the
The amount you get.
I've had them you know for a lot more money
and you get a lot less chicken you do so it's a mild
it's too chilly rate in this it's not going to be hot at all
but it's going to be very very creamy
I do like cream I do I'll take it over to my table
and we'll try it over there right let's see what
this is like smelling good yeah we'll have a look
at the like I say it's quite it's quite runny get
these chicken nice big bits of chicken there we'll try
a few bits and let's see if it's okay
Oh, that is tasty.
That chicken was lovely as well it wasn't
like slippery chicken normally microwave
chicken is very slippery that wasn't.
That is tasty that sauce is lovely as
well there's no heat there at all but spices
and the creaminess rich beautiful
oh that is tasty it's a little bit sweet
a little bit sweet let's have a
look at a sugar content half a pack of sugar
and so you've got 12 grams of
sugar it was the same as the
other one I like it though
it's tasty going in again
If you can hear a bit of banging,
I've got workmen upstairs in the bathroom, it's right above us.
Let's see this bit,
oh that is lovely,
that is really tasty,
oh it is rich.
The chicken's good as well, the microwave chicken, very very surprised.
It is lovely though, it really is,
it's the taste of spices in there,
not too overpowering but with the cream and the tomato,
it's lovely, really is tasty.
Cool, I'm going in again,
chicken's good as well, wow.
Not my type of curry this. I do like them hot.
I like them with a bite but now and again I don't
mind a masala. Creamy, tasty that is.
I'm gonna give it high marks. It's another nine out of ten.
It's a cracker.
It really is for a budget supermarket like Home Bargains. It's up
there. It really is. Just need all the other bits
and bobs to go with it. Now if you've got a fake
Fake away, take away at home.
You don't like them hot.
It's very very nice, very very nice.
Thanks for the recommendation, I do appreciate it.
So please send recommendations my way
and I hope you like the video.
