I am a retired RCMP Officer living in a rural setting in Nova Scotia, Canada. I spend my time enjoying nature and feeding my furry friends, the raccoons. I also feed the deer in the winter months and many varieties of birds. I have two rescue cats named Connor and Charlotte. Raccoon Whisperer Official Website: https://raccoonwhisperer.ca/

A couple shares updates on their evening, including a visit to family and a local bakery, while feeding their resident raccoons. They discuss upcoming comedy shows, Halloween trick-or-treating experiences, and provide a health update on their granddaughter, concluding with gratitude for their online community's support.
We just got home from Annie Ganesh,
and we have three out here, three raccoons,
almost one pudgy fellow there.
Scooter's out there. Yeah. In a bucket. God, he's fat. Huh?
Scooter's big. He's eating all the cookies. That's Scooter,
right there. Yeah, he's eating all the cookies.
And then there's Cookies out there, Furby's out there,
Sammy's out there. Yeah, Scooter's getting chunky in the face.
And Connor's there. And there's Connor,
I'm wondering, there's Charlotte.
Yeah.
We had a good evening.
Yeah, we went to see my sister and went to the Maritime Inn for supper.
And our waitress, she almost cried, didn't she?
Yeah, I'll give her a good tip.
It's been three years since she saw me.
She had a baby since then, so we got, Angie had a book there,
so she signed it and gave him a book for the little fella.
A scooter, and we pulled
in the area, and they
were all heading for
the woods just to trot.
Yeah, just a trotting.
We only keep two buckets out.
There, Scooter's gone.
He's heading for the trees.
He's heading for his tree.
They know where to come to eat.
What are you doing up there? Huh?
Who said you can get up there?
You're just a boy, aren't you? Huh?
You're just a boy. You missed us. And guess what?
I got to eat my supper without you.
I got to enjoy a supper for a change.
No cat bumming. No, there was no cat bumming.
Enjoying their meal.
Yeah, all the cookies are all de-creamed.
Last night there was a lot out there and food-wise,
and then the morning everything was gone.
Yeah, we got two free bags of food from Walmart.
What's that? Is it below freezing?
Oh, is it? Well, I'm not going out.
Are you Connor? Do you want to go out?
Connor, did you want to go out? Oh, he found some treats.
Do you want to go out?
Yes, I'll go out.
You don't care if it's cold, huh?
This fella's, he's got more black on him.
We've got another one coming.
Another one showing up.
Who's that one coming?
Lost two and
gained two.
Yeah, they're cold.
What you doing?
Well, somebody made a sound out in the road.
Care?
Yeah.
Did you hear a dog barking?
Treats?
Treat?
Do you want a treat?
You didn't eat your food.
Neat.
No, you didn't.
No you didn't.
Every time we go to Hannigan's, we go to this bakery.
Angie loves the,
she loves these sugar cookies.
Yeah, she loves them, and I get the multigrain bread,
and I got myself a blueberry pie.
And I love these things,
they're called butterscotch rocky road marshmallows.
And we got biscuits.
It's a great bakery.
Anyway.
What you looking at, Connor? Did you get treats?
Did you? Did you get a treat? You did?
I did.
Usually he says no, he didn't, but he did.
Yeah, he had supper and treats, and so did she.
Yes, my lovely wife.
I have a very faint,
a guy that I really like.
He's a comedian from
From Britain, Jimmy Carr.
And so he's coming to Halifax.
The 27th is it? When?
Oh, 21st of November and she got
two tickets to see him perform.
Anyway, I watch his videos on YouTube all the time,
so I'm gonna go get to see him.
That's another fellow I like.
It's a Canadian comedian, Ron James. He's good too.
Right, Connor? What's the matter, Connor?
Say hi to Tracy.
Say hi to Tracy. She's the reason you're here.
She found you. Yes, she did.
And captured you.
He was a mess.
He had a surgery done on his neck.
They took a big cyst off him,
and he was all full of twigs and mats and bugs and everything.
Weren't ya?
Oh, and tell them about our little trick-or-treater last night.
Our same little trick-or-treater that we've had for three, four years.
Yeah.
He brings the raccoons hot dogs every year.
He brought a pile of hot dogs, and we give them to him.
And we give him a special little bag of stuff,
and he's such a sweet little guy, but they live.
Probably a half a mile down the road, would you say?
And he has five bears.
They have five bears,
and it's a mom with two bears and then two more adult bears.
So they've got five bears down there, so they are really busy.
Yeah, and we were going to give him a book,
but he had already, his mother already bought one.
Yeah.
So she's going to drop it off here and get it signed.
Yeah.
And then I wanted to say a very sincere thank you
to everyone that sent their well wishes
and thoughts and prayers for my granddaughter.
She is doing so much better.
She's out of the hospital.
Her little side is healing.
She even went out last night with her brother.
I'm doing.
I've been trick-or-treating.
She was a fairy, a lighted fairy.
She had lights flickering all up,
and I bought that while I was down there.
And then my grandson was a sumo wrestler.
Yes sir.
That was a big suit he had on.
It blows itself up to make him look big.
Yeah.
So he was a sumo wrestler.
But we had a total of eight trick-or-treaters last night,
but they all had really good stuff.
Yeah.
We still got bags left.
Well, I've broken down the bags now,
so we still have all kinds of juices and candies.
This is the bags we that we handed out.
It had juice and candy and chips and bubble gum
and more candy and nuts and Rice Krispies Treats
and twinkies and yeah whoever came
here got a really good one
so uh yeah it was it was a good night yeah for sure.
So we'll say good night then. Yeah.
Thanks everybody. We appreciate your support.
We really do. Your support and your likes
and your subscribing helps us feed these little guys. So
we want to say thank you because we want to make sure
that they are all fattened up for their little
winter nap that they're going to be taking here within the next month.
I figure they'll probably
It'll probably go down in a November.
I don't know.
Maybe.
Depends on if it snows.
Yeah.
Depends how cold it gets, too.
Yeah.
But we want to say thank you.
We really do appreciate it.
So I guess that's it.
Have a good week ahead.
I was telling her our little waitress almost cried.
Oh, she was so precious.
She was a good one.
I signed her a book, one of my books tonight.
Yeah, she gave her a book for her little fella.
And I gave her some pictures
that we had done for promotion.
Yeah.
And a pen and magnet.
That's nice.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It was really good.
It was a good day.
Yeah.
So, have a good week ahead.
Yeah.
Thank you.
Yeah.
This is the magnets that we gave out here.
Yep.
Yeah.
There's a Connor key.
Did everybody go away?
The dog must have barked.
Everybody's gone
There's a Connor magnet.
There's a little dog.
And Valerie in England, we got your anniversary card.
Oh, yes, yes.
We got that a little while ago.
Yep, we got that around a week and a half ago.
So thank you.
Valerie D. from Cumbria, England.
Thank you.
We really do appreciate all the cards that you send.
Thank you very much.
I think that's it.
Yep.
Okay, good night, everybody.
Say good night, Connor.
Good night.
