We are shocked and heartbroken to announce
the passing of our sister, Nicole Taylor.
This isn't the video we thought we'd ever be making.
You know, we thought she would
be here sharing her story of earthly healing,
but instead we're here sharing her story of heavenly healing.
And she's at peace and no longer suffering,
so we're thankful for that.
We have some of our notes here.
We are still processing everything.
This honestly feels really hard to talk about,
but we're going to do our best in sharing some of her story.
It's easier to kind of do happy and fun content.
But speaking on camera is honestly not being like a specialty.
It was Nicole's.
She was a great speaker even when she was younger.
And you know, we kind of feel inadequate
to do this, but we'll do our best.
Before we get into the details of her passing,
we wanted to share some of our favorite qualities about her,
since a lot of y'all didn't know her personally.
She was our oldest sister by one minute,
older than me, Natalie, by a minute,
and older than Nika by two minutes.
So she was our fearless leader. She was the first to lose her tooth.
She was always the one who would speak on behalf of us.
She was the first to give her life to Christ.
She would always speak up for what's right and always have our back.
And her favorite color was cheetah print.
It's definitely the more rocker, chick-edgy one of us three.
Her favorite food was charcuterie.
She loved going out to eat and traveling.
She was very black and white with what she believed,
and she wasn't known to overthink too much.
Her first instrument to learn was the drums,
which says a lot about her.
She also played banjo and guitar,
and she sang low harmonies and some lead
when we played together in our band.
She was also...
The spokesman on stage with woman preacher vibes
and she obviously was a huge part of our
social media content that we did together that a lot
of y'all may know her from. She was a co-host
for a country radio show with Taste of Country
which she really enjoyed doing. Obviously those
are just highlights. She was so much more than that to our family
and sisterhood that just kind
of skims the surface of things.
A lot of those things explain her fearlessness with what she battled
Some of y'all may have seen or heard her breast cancer battle,
and we want to thank y'all for
your prayers. We want to thank the doctors
and the nurses that helped her along the way.
She was diagnosed with breast cancer back in 2022.
I remember we were like out in a public
place, and she got a phone call from the nurse about
her biopsy results. I remember going to
the bathroom, and she like put it on speaker to hear the phone call
or whatever. The nurse was
like, do you have any family with you?
And so we kind of knew where the conversation was headed.
She was like, you have cancer.
I just remember just like breaking down in utter shock.
I was so surprised, we've been blessed with good health our whole life.
So this was a big shock, and it wasn't what we were expecting.
I was crying and ran out to the hallway to tell Nika.
And I remember Nicole just said, God's gonna use this for his glory.
That's just how she responded to it.
She got more info on things.
It was stage three breast cancer, very aggressive.
And she told the doctors that God was going to get her through.
And I remember me and Natalie were just
so shocked and, you know, destroyed.
And we were just paralyzed, like what just happened to our sister?
And one day she said, we're not going to dread this.
We're not going to live in fear.
We're going to have fun during this time.
And she was just always cheering us up.
She pushed us all to have fun and not live in fear and hopelessness.
She even did CrossFit during the time she was getting chemo treatments.
I remember one day specifically at church,
it was soon after the diagnosis.
She was prayed over
and God gave her so much peace after that, she said.
She said that peace stayed with her so long.
I think that's what kept her so fierce during this time.
There were a lot of encouraging things that happened during that time.
Our aunt started at 318 prayer time and 318 is our birthday.
So everybody would pray for Nicole.
For healing during that time, so that was really sweet.
I remember getting the news that everything
was responding well to treatments and we were so happy.
She was ecstatic, basically,
and she rung the bell and finished her treatments, and
she had no evidence of disease.
Then I felt like we could finally breathe again.
If you know anybody with cancer,
there's so many MRI scans, treatments, appointments
that you have to go through, and it's very stressful.
I remember buying the book, The All of God,
at the beginning of her diagnosis, and I'm
always trying to, like, make sense of things.
I've been a Christian a long time, and something like this, you know,
can make you either grow closer to God or distance yourself.
Like do you believe in Jesus or not?
Like do you have a firm foundation?
This trial I would say grows that.
I don't know how someone could get through
this kind of thing without God.
A while later we figured out that her breast cancer turned
into stage four. Before she was going back
for like a really serious surgery,
I remember looking at Nicole
and I was like obviously like frightened in my face.
Nicole just reassured me. She said, it's all good.
That was like her favorite phrase to use.
She always said that. She always tried to be strong for us.
She then started treatments again. Of course, this was really scary.
And the doctors were waiting to see if it would come back.
Of course, we were hoping that it wouldn't and thought it wouldn't.
And Nicole just kept going on as normal as possible.
You know, she was working two jobs, she was traveling, she kept going.
Always tried to remain thankful versus dwelling on fear.
Around nine months later,
it came back again and this new diagnosis was way more serious.
She was told after asking her prognosis
that she had around three months
and that if the treatments worked,
They didn't know how long after that I was there
and she replied to the doctor she said everyone
will face judgment and I'm ready too
and here's a video of her testimony from her early 20s on
why she was ready to face judgment.
Hey my name is Nicole I'm going to tell you my story of hope.
I gave my life to Christ when I was around 15 years old.
Before then, it was all about how good
of a person that I thought I was.
I was involved in church, I was in a youth group,
I was in a Christian band even.
But I never came to a point in my life where I really
realized how wicked and evil I was without Christ.
How much I needed God, how much He didn't need me at all.
And one night at church,
the Holy Spirit just began to convict my heart.
And just began to show me how lost I really was.
The best way I can describe the way I felt was, the Bible verse says,
Our righteousness is like filthy rags.
God actually made me feel like filthy rags that night,
and I'm so thankful that He did that.
You know, a lot of us look at conviction
as such a bad thing or a scary thing.
Conviction is a blessing that the Creator
of the universe would speak to us.
He would show us how much we really need Him.
I'm so thankful that He did that.
He actually sent his son to die on the cross for us,
and his son actually overcame all of our sin.
So he has a right to show us how much we need him.
When the invitation came, instead
of playing the invitation with my sisters,
I walked down the aisle for the invitation
and just asked Jesus to save me.
No special fancy prayer, just Jesus saved me.
I committed my life to Jesus Christ. I repented of my sins.
And I said, you know, God, from now on,
I want to be more like you every day, but I need your help.
God's given me so much purpose and joy,
and I'm so thankful that I committed my life to Him.
If you want to do the same, I want to encourage you to do so.
Me and Natalie have a similar testimony where we feel like
the Holy Spirit revealed to us our sin and our need for God.
We all have the same fate as Nicole. Are you ready is the question.
There's so much more to the story.
She lived around a year later after that prognosis,
but we'll get to that later.
But what's your story?
The reason for us to believe isn't
so that we'll see our sister again in heaven, which we will.
The reason is that we believe it's because it's true.
God did create this world.
B.C., before Christ, we literally base our time around him.
We and creation will end up proclaiming him king no matter what.
I'm going to read from Nicole's Bible, Philippians 2, 10 through 11.
So that at the name of Jesus,
every knee will bow in heaven and on earth and under the earth.
And every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ
is Lord to the glory of God the Father.
If you want to become a Christian, this is what we believe.
That we were all sinners in need of a Savior,
and that Jesus is the Son of the only God,
and that He died on the cross for our sins, and then rose again.
We confessed to this Lord,
we want to be more like Him every day, but we're not perfect,
but we need His help with that, like Nicole said.
I'm reading John 3.16.
For God loved the world in this way, He gave His one and only Son,
so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish,
but have eternal life.
So are you ready? There's a lot more in this story.
During the more extreme diagnosis,
we felt led to not live in fear and claim healing.
We dove heavy into first seeking
God for guidance and peace, and we really focused on this verse.
Proverbs 3, 5-6.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and do not rely on your own understanding.
In all your ways know him and he will make your path straight.
Then we felt led to a nutrition plan and certain treatments.
Nicole and the rest of us remained hopeful
with every step God led us to.
We tried to claim healing every day and we fought fear with his verse.
2 Timothy 1, 7.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear,
but one of power, love, and sound judgment.
We think it's important to speak the verses out loud if you're able.
I remember one day in church, Nicole was praying silently to herself,
and she asked God to wrap his arms around her.
And a lady literally came up to her around the same time and said,
God told me he has his arms wrapped around you.
God is real and is there, and ask him to reveal himself to you,
and don't dismiss it when he does.
Spiritual warfare is also real and heavy,
and living in fear is torment.
But God gives us peace that passes all understanding with his verse.
Philippians 4, 6-7
Don't worry about anything, but in everything,
through prayer and petition, with thanksgiving,
present your request to God,
and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding
will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
It's important to remember that this verse says
to present your request to God
but then to also be grateful then your peace will come.
Nicole told us soon before she passed that she had peace
and we are really thankful for that.
Yes things did not turn out as we hoped.
We lived every day expecting full miraculous healing here on earth
and lived every day in hopes of that.
Of course we all had our moments of fear
and doubt but we fought it and fought it.
And God gave us so much peace and hope in him along the way.
We are so shocked and still shocked of her passing.
But we are thankful for the miracle
of the cross where Jesus Christ died and rose again.
And we can have a relationship with him and have victory over death.
Our sister is healed and no longer suffering.
We know God took care of her and encouraged all
of us through this process.
We are thankful for his faithful promises.
We are thankful for y'all for your prayers
and support and watching this video.
