Dodgers make MULTIPLE moves... MASSIVE Dodgers Updates | LA Dodgers News
Nov 3, 2026
Dodgers give multiple updates and make multiple moves,
including an update from last year's NLCS MVP.
We'll get to that story and more.
I got a lot to cover here,
and we got not a lot of time to get her done,
so let's get started and get down to business.

All right.
Dodgers make multiple moves and give multiple updates.
One of the biggest updates.
I got to break out for you is you're talking about Tommy Tanks,
Tommy Edman, the fact that the injury is not on track
for what the Dodgers originally thought.
So this isn't good news, but hold up.
Hold up, people.
Hold up.
Okay, so every time I get bad news, someone's always got to chime in.
What, should we ban injuries from the MLB?
What? I've been called Chicken Little before
because the sky is falling, right? Because I
give you bad news, I usually give you good news too,
but I'm going to bring out the stuff that's
happening that's negative, okay? So just deal with it.
Don't get upset at me. I'm not trying
to bait you. I'm just telling you the bad news
and I'm giving you the good news as well. It's
like the bad medicine with a spoon of sugar, right?
Is that a spoonful of sugar? Is that how it goes down?
The spoonful of sugar makes the medicine go down?
All right, let's get down to business first off,
and let's talk about Tommy Tanks.
What is going on with Tommy Tanks?
Do not like this, okay?
Once again, I'm not panicking.
Don't think my passion is panic, okay?
Here's what Robert specifically said
about Edman's return this weekend.
It's unlikely.
It's not going to happen.
So if those of you who are holding out thinking
that Edman's going to play this weekend,
ain't going to happen.
Brad Nostradamus predicts he will not.
The utility man's right ankle is just
not responding as quickly as the team has hoped.
Dodger skipper has changed his tune surrounding Edman's status,
given just a few days earlier, Roberts said,
did not expect the utility man to miss much time.
What?
Roberts flip-flopping on an injury?
No way.
Never heard of that.
All right.
So that's the story right there,
and I don't know what you think, Edmund.
Here's what he's been doing right now.
Edmund is hitting .252.
With eight home runs and 24 RBIs this season.
He's a curate.
Here's the big one right here.
1.1 WAR.
That's huge.
And ranks 96th percentile in the outs above average.
So the 29-year-old began the season
in one of the hottest hitters in LA lineup.
And his absence certainly is a setback for the team,
especially yesterday when we had a lot of 0-1s
from the lower part of the lineup.
And I'll get to that story too as well.
You got to hope it's not a long time.
You got to hope that Tommy is going to respond very good.
This is a chance, though.
Isn't this a chance for Outman and Kim,
HaeSung Kim, to step up, right?
You don't want to rush him back.
That's the one thing you don't want to do.
It's almost like now you've got to kind of treat it like Freddie.
You've got to make sure he's going to get his playing time
but make sure that he is okay
because you definitely don't want something to happen
that could take him out even longer.
Dodgers promote two pitchers in the minor leagues.
I know it's minor leagues.
I know.
I'm just bringing you the information.
Don't get upset because I think
This could mean something special for the Dodgers.
I'm talking about Sean Linen or Linen.
He's only 20 years old, but the dude's been turning heads.
He's got a 44% strikeout rate, a 1.21 ERA, a .84 whip, and...
A 1-4-6 average against him through 29.2 innings with the Quakes.
The Dodgers signed Lennon to an amateur contract.
They did it out of Columbia back in January 2022.
I mean, so look, the dude was 17 back then.
He's only 20, but the dude is turning heads,
and he is moving quite fast.
Who's the other pitcher we're talking about?
Well, that's going to be Jose Rodriguez.
See, I rolled the R there.
Just trying to, you know, stay with it.
Jose Rodriguez is joining OKC from the AA Tulsa.
So he has moved up to AAA.
His outings have been up and down this season,
but has struck out 20 over 12 innings pitched.
Think about that.
Struck out 20 over 12 innings.
That's pretty darn good.
Following last season's breakout,
he is considered number 27 in the prospect for the MLB pipeline.
So I like the moves.
Jose is only one step away from being in Major League Baseball,
but you've got to like what he's done so far.
And I like this Sean Linen move, too, as well.
He's not moving to OKC.
He's moving to an extended version of A.
But the dude's 20.
He could be up before you know it.
I'm telling you that right now.
And another story, Shohei, first MLB player with 11 home runs
and 10 stolen bases.
And which brings me to the question to you, Ken Shohei?
Repeat the 50-50 year.
Can he go 50 home runs plus and plus 50 on the stolen bases?
Well, will pitching hurt him or hurt his chances for that opportunity?
What has he done so far?
Well, he has done this.
Here is the number so far on the show.
And here's what's happened, 142 at bats,
more than anyone on the team, batting 296, 11 home runs,
16 RBIs, 10 stolen bases, and an OPS of 1.032.
That's big stuff.
So I don't know what you think on this one,
but what I think on this one.
I think it could hurt his chances, but already with numbers like that,
11 home runs, 10 stolen bases,
you've got to think 50-50 is around the corner,
especially if he doesn't, let's say he doesn't even pitch
until June or July or something like that,
because I don't think he's pitching before June.
That's 100% from what I get from Roberts on this one.
I don't think he's pitching then.
Will it hurt his opportunity?
And can you imagine going back-to-back 50-50?
That would be huge for the Dodgers.
Dodgers bullpen spared in yesterday's loss.
And this goes back.
Okay, I'm not going to nitpick.
Well, I am going to nitpick.
Okay.
So what was different about this start
for Yamamoto than the last start?
Well, it's about the.
Five-day rest versus six-day rest.
You know that's going to come up, okay?
So back to a five-day rest and pitch.
He's used to a six-day rest and pitch,
and so you take him out of that program, and what happens?
Well, you know, he gives up six hits and five runs.
Balloons, not balloons, but takes his ERA up to 1.80.
So I don't know how you feel about that one.
The way I look at that one.
I think if there's a possibility,
if you can get back to the six-day rest
and get him in that routine, I think that's better.
And is this the reason why he gave up six hits, five runs?
I don't know.
I mean, Brad Nostradamus is usually right on a lot of things,
but that one, that's a tough one, right?
But I will say this, watch out for Arizona Diamondbacks
because that's a team that we're going
to want to kind of have to keep an eye on.
I think they're better than the Padres, 100%.
But I also think that Yamamoto...
Needs to have that six-day rest.
And whether that, I mean, if you give him the six-day rest
and he comes out and he's lights out,
then who's right on that one, right?
All right, lower part of the lineup struggles.
Man, that is just, okay.
So let me break it out for you.
Lower part of the lineup, Kim was 0 for 4 last night.
Also had three strikeouts,
and it looked like he was swinging at a bad pitch.
It was a little bit like spring, so that's a little bit alarming.
Our pitcher's getting his number and getting him to chase.
I don't know.
Outman was 0 for 2.
Conforto, man, this is troubling.
0 for 3.
Kike, 0 for 3.
So what is that?
0 for 12 between all four of those guys,
and that's not what the Dodgers need out
of the lower part of the lineup.
They need production.
Production, that's what they need.
All right, well, tonight, it's a chance to get the ship right,
and you got Sasaki going at it with Rodriguez, Ed Rodriguez.
I think he's one and four against the Dodgers,
but Sasaki, he needs to come out, and he needs to pitch well.
He really needs to pitch well.
Will he have a short leash on him?
I'm not sure how Roberts is going to look at this,
being that he's only on five-day rest and not the six-day rest.
And I don't care, you know,
whatever your opinion is on that, it's something.
But one thing I will predict right now,
hold up, let me just get to this.
Brad Nostradamus is predicting,
here's the guys going to be playing, okay?
Here's the guys that Roberts will put in the game.
It's not beneficial yet, but I'm going to tell you right now,
Taylor is going to get a start tonight.
He's batting .429 against Rodriguez,
so I bet you anything he gets in, right?
Conforto is batting .400 against Rodriguez,
and if you want to get him out of his funk,
I think that's the opportunity to get him in the mix.
He's batting .400, so I'm predicting he will play.
Freeman's batting .500 against Rodriguez, so you know he's in.
TK, you've got to think, is going to get a start, too.
He's batting .455 against Rodriguez,
and Miggy Rojas is batting .667.
against him. So Brad Nostradamus predicting Taylor,
Conforto, Freeman, Kike Rojas will be in the
starting lineup today. I can almost guarantee it
because if a guy is struggling for the Dodgers
and he's having trouble, right?
And you got Doc is looking at this stuff.
Roberts likes to take advantage big time of guys that are struggling,
and when they've got a new guy pitching
and they've done good against him in the past,
that is your perfect opportunity to put a struggling guy in there
to face a guy that they've had success with.
So it's not some, you know.
Big thing.
It's not this massive, huge thing,
but I'm going to predict Taylor will get in there.
Conforto Freeman and Kike and Rojas will get the start tonight.
Could I be wrong?
Sure, but that rarely happens.
Brad Nostradamus is nearly always right.
