Today, I'm thrilled to announce the official opening
of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.
Now, we're giving serious thought to changing
the name to the Trump Reflecting Pool.
We'll announce that sometime tomorrow.
I'm sure that Secretary Doug Burgum will have
a lot of fun in announcing that now.
I'm only kidding. I'm only kidding. Please.
Don't report it. Just, they'll cut it off and they'll say,
he's changing the name.
These are the pipes.
So the, this is a, it's painted blue for purposes of it was all rusted.
So this is what we took out and this is the pipe inside here.
And as you can see, it was totally,
you know, it's been there since 1922, I guess, and it's in bad shape.
They've been replaced
and we replaced them after July 4th.
This was what we inherited. This is the way the pool was.
Just prior to, just a little bit below the surface,
when you wonder why it leaked, I guess it's not too hard to see.
