Walk in London- Millwall Inner Dock, summer 2021

Today we'll be heading towards Mill wall Inner Dock

The Mill wall Dock was opened in 1868 and is L-shaped, with a 'Outer Dock' running east-west, and a 'Inner Dock' running north from the eastern end. Mill wall Docks originally contained around 36 acres of water and the site covered 200-acres.

The Outer Dock is much more relaxing with plenty of swans and ducks swimming amongst the sailing boats from the Docklands Sailing and Water sports Centre which is located at the far West end of the dock near where the dock previously connected to the Thames. The centre was set up in 1989 by the London Docklands Development Corporation and the Sports Council and provides plenty of water experiences to a wide range of people especially young people.

Dermaga Millwall dibuka pada tahun 1868 dan berbentuk L, dengan 'Dok Luar' membentang timur-barat, dan 'Dok Dalam' membentang ke utara dari ujung timur. Mill wall Docks awalnya berisi sekitar 36 hektar air dan situs tersebut menutupi 200 hektar.

Dermaga Luar jauh lebih santai dengan banyak angsa dan bebek berenang di antara kapal layar dari Pusat Berlayar dan Olahraga Air Docklands yang terletak di ujung barat dermaga dekat tempat dermaga sebelumnya terhubung ke Sungai Thames. Pusat ini didirikan pada tahun 1989 oleh London Docklands Development Corporation dan Dewan Olahraga dan menyediakan banyak pengalaman air untuk berbagai macam orang terutama kaum muda.
