Okay, Rebecca Castor on Capitol Hill,
kind of doing her best to watch all these races.
I mean, so many races, our heads are spinning here, Rebecca.
Rebecca?
Yeah, Jason, oh yeah, our heads are spinning here too,
because all, who walks these halls
next year, it's all going to come down to today,
as we are watching both parties battle
it out for balance of power.
Election day is here and voting is now underway across the country,
including Michigan, one of several states that could determine
which party controls the Senate.
Republicans are hoping for a momentum shift there after Democratic
Congresswoman Haley Stevens endorsed Mike Rogers instead
of her own party's nominee, Abdullah Syed.
It took a lot of courage for her to do that,
to stand up for America, and listen, I'm proud of her.
Earlier this week, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer called it
a despicable betrayal, but now he's downplaying the endorsement.
She's one vote.
There are millions of Michiganders whose number one issue
is getting their costs down.
Democrats are expected to win control of the House,
but the Senate is up for grabs,
likely coming down to seven states.
President Trump will watch results come in tonight at the White House,
with the rest of his presidency at stake.
We have to keep America great. We're great now. We were terrible.
Two years ago, we were laughing stock all over the world.
To hold on to both chambers,
Republicans will need to overcome voter frustrations,
mostly related to the war in Iran.
This morning, the president announced he would stop all
U.S. aid payments to Israel next year,
perhaps an olive branch to some disenchanted voters.
It's a bad talking point.
We give them more than anybody else, and they no longer need it.
Israel nearly $4 billion a year since 2019 and Israeli Prime Minister
Benjamin Netanyahu also says it's time to get that number down to zero.
Jen and Jason, back to you.
Okay, Rebecca, there at the Capitol building.
Thank you so much. That is going to be a very busy spot, man.
