We're in Burlington County inside a 200 year old train station.
We got Mr. Bob. What up, Bob?
Hey, gang. Good morning, everybody.
Look at this old school train right here.
This is on the front lawn here in Mount Holly.
I doubt we're going to see this thing move anytime soon,
but you will be able to get a cocktail.
Take a look at this.
The Train Wreck Distillery inside an old Mount Holly train station
that goes back to the beginning of the 19th century.
They even have a tasting room. You know what they say?
When in Rome, do what the Romans do.
Come on, let's go.
We're going to go taste, taste test.
Hang there.
All aboard.
I thought he was going to go with you can't
drink all day if you don't start in the morning.
We're in Mount Holly, waiting on the train.
But they have a distillery inside this station,
so we don't mind waiting.
Right, everybody?
Yay.
Let's get to Bob.
He's at a distillery in Burlington County inside
of a 200-year-old train station.
Yeah, back in the day, gang, you know,
this phone was actually used right here in Mount Holly
at the train station.
You'd call home, honey, I'm going to be a little late.
There's a train wreck.
There really is a train wreck here.
We're at the Train Wreck Distillery in Mount Holly.
You don't mind train delays, do you, everybody?
No. Stay there. We're coming right back.
There is a distillery in Burlington County inside
of a 200-year-old train station.
It looks so cool. Let's get out to Bob. Oh, yeah, ring that bell, Bob.
Oh, you know what? I'm going to tell you.
It says right here, ring the bell for merriment and good
cheer. Here we go. Aaron, how are you? Good.
How are you? Good. That's probably 200 years old.
And we're inside the Mount Holly train station.
How did you get into the distillery business?
Yeah. So I started making wine and beer with my grandfather
and he passed away. And then my
grandmother gave me all of his old wine
and beer making equipment. And I kind of started
I started playing around with that and
Kind of wanted to make a hobby into a business.
You went legit.
Yeah.
But that's got to be cool that you started with your grandfather.
He's got to be proud of you.
What are in these barrels here?
So we have whiskey and rum in those barrels right there.
And what do you distill?
So we make vodka, rum, gin, bourbon, and single malt.
And we do a lot of other.
Bourbon finishes and whiskey finishes also.
So it's just liquor, no beer, just liquor.
Yes.
And you stumbled upon this building.
How did you get this?
Yeah, so my father, he's in real estate, and he found it,
and we kind of, we didn't think we were going to put a distillery here,
and then I had the idea to put a distillery in here.
We kind of...
Mapped it all out, and we're like, all right, let's give this a try.
Let's do it.
Come on, let's go in the other room here,
because you said that when you bought it, it looked like a train wreck.
Oh, yeah.
And thus came the name.
Come on in, everybody.
You guys waiting for the train?
I'll tell you what, I wouldn't mind waiting
for the train if it didn't come at all here.
Now, of course, your brother and
partner over here, Sean, how are you, pal?
Good, how are you?
Okay, good.
Here's the lineup of the items that you actually distilled.
So let's get down the lineup and iron this one up a little.
All right, so coming up first, that's the destination donut.
That's our apple cider donut infused vodka,
and it's pretty much like a cream martini.
It's made with a locally made apple cider donut.
Oh my gosh. It does. It tastes like an apple cider donut.
Yep, it really does.
Okay, what is this one here?
Next, we have our vanilla pairing.
It's made with our Railcart Reserve gin.
It is pretty much just a pear gin spritz.
So that one is definitely a little on the sweeter end,
but definitely it's good.
Now, here's one that I'm going to take home with me.
An espresso martini.
Yeah, so that's our wake-up call flight.
It's definitely a fan favorite.
So starting with the pumpkin, that is our pumpkin pie espresso martini.
Oh, look at this.
And a little pumpkin on top there.
Yeah, so that's cinnamon stencil.
And then next we have our apple cider, or not apple cider.
It is the apple pie espresso martini.
Oh, it's apple pie?
Yeah.
Got to try it.
Getting ready for the holidays.
Go ahead.
Keep talking.
I'm drinking.
And then we have, finally, it's our original espresso martini.
So that is one of our fan favorites, for sure.
And on the end here?
That is our sweater weather, so that is a cinnamon...
Sweater weather! I love it.
Yeah, it's definitely, we'll put
your booze blanket on drinking this one.
So that is a cinnamon maple sour made with our Super Chief bourbon.
Now, you can only serve the items
that you distill here, is that correct?
Yes, sir, yes, sir. So we can only serve what we distill,
and you can bring your own food in.
That's cool. Now, I want to go for a little tour here.
George, go out here because this is actually part
of the original train station back in the day, 200 some years ago.
Here's the ticket window.
And I love how you guys kept everything the same.
The ticket window is right here.
The original train passed right here where you have your enclosure.
But you've enclosed this. You got heaters.
So we can, you know, you have food trucks come in.
You bring your own food if you want.
Yeah, you could come hang out.
We have live music.
You can come play board games or just come and hang out.
We are smack dab in the middle of Mount Holly.
What is this main street right out here?
Madison Avenue.
Madison Ave.
Oh, my gosh.
This is great.
Plenty of free parking.
You even got a caboose out in the parking lot there.
The kids got to love this, too.
Oh, yeah.
We're family friendly. I'm one of five, so we love kids,
and you can bring the whole family here.
I love it. I love it. And you know what? Just like these folks here,
how long have you been waiting for the train?
Waiting a while.
Who cares, right?
It's late.
All aboard the train wreck, Mount Holly!
Thank you, guys.
What fun.
What a name. It's all so great.
That's great.
