I agree with everything the guy said, like, I'm, I, you know,
they took players, they took sponsors, they turned professional golf
into an arms race, yeah, they were going around Augusta
this year saying they wanted to destroy the European Tour,
like, it's just, yeah, I agree, I agree with everything, like,
I think people that don't agree are probably very short-sighted.
There was some of the money that they used in the right way,
create the international series on the Asian Tour,
great for a couple of years,
but then where did that leave the Asian Tour?
They left them high and dry.
Asian Tour came back into the fold,
did a partnership with the PGA Tour and the European Tour,
and again, this was always going to be the case.
It was always going to be good for a few years until...
Something like this happened
or they realized they weren't going to get any return on investment
and they were going to leave the golf space
and go and do something else
and invest in something that actually would make them money.
So, yeah, I think for the long-term sustainability
of men's professional golf,
I think we're in a much better spot.
There does need to be a bit of a reset.
Like I've talked about this.
They created a false economy within men's professional golf.
Um, and I think that, you know,
there is going to be a bit of a reset here, which, um, just to,
just for things to be a little bit more sustainable going forward.
Um, you know, there's not as much of a arms race
as there was maybe a couple of years ago.
And, um, you know, some players will argue that that's not good
for players because, but I think that's very short term thinking.
Like if you want sustainable tours
and if we want these tours to be around in 50 years time, you know,
There has to be sustainable business practices in place
to make sure that they are around in 50 years' time.
