Luke Collins introduces \"Storyteller,\" a 15-product papercraft collection inspired by vintage books and typewriters. Featuring a warm, neutral palette, the set includes paper pads, laser-cut elements, stamps, and dies. It is designed for scrapbooking, card making, and mixed media art, emphasizing a \"vintage library\" aesthetic and versatile layering techniques.
Hi everyone, it's Luke Collins and I'm really excited today to be able
to launch the brand new textures collection called Storyteller.
So Storyteller is a collection of papercraft items.
We've got 15 new products in this collection
and it's all about writing those stories, reading stories.
It's about typewriters and old books.
There's a vintage feel through here as well. I absolutely love it.
First things first, I'm going to come straight down to my desk
and just start talking you through all of the items
and show you a few projects that I've been making with it too.
Now, as with any paper craft collection,
of course, we do have the papers.
In this collection, we've got a 12 inch by 12 inch pad
and we've got the 8 by 8 as well.
These are all double sided.
Let's go through the 12 by 12 first
because I always think the 12 inch papers...
I'm kind of like a really good overview of the collection
and what you can expect, the
kind of imagery that you're going
to see throughout the other items too.
As you can see, I've got everything else around me.
So if you love things like books,
if you love typewriters, typewriter fonts, kind of going
towards that vintage feel, you are going to love this collection.
As you can see, it is a nice, quite a neutral base of colours.
So we've got some oranges in there.
We've got some teals, some duck egg blues,
lots of creams and browns in there too.
It's quite a warm palette, but I absolutely adore this.
It's perfect for this time of year.
So first of all let's look at the larger papers.
So we have got our large 12 by 12 papers that are
double-sided and these are perfect for your scrapbook pages
but equally if you love card
making, art journaling,
any sort of mixed media you can cut into these too. These are ideal for
those people who maybe get a little bit stuck
when it comes to scrapbooking and layering and
creating those pages full of design ideas is a little bit daunting.
So we've also got our coordinating backing papers too
and we have two of each sheet as you can see
so you never have to choose which of the papers you're going to use and
which one you're never going to see.
Now personally of course I do like to
keep one and just never use it
because that's what us paper crafters do.
And this is another design page where you can simply add yourself
a photo, a sentiment,
maybe a little bit of journaling if you want
to do some additional embellishments and you've
got a full complete page.
There's an immense amount of layering
that's gone into some of these pages and I am.
Just look at that, the cup of tea besides the old typewriter,
the stack of papers and
then in the background you've got some botanical elements
and you've got the stitching, the
faux stitching, you've got those typewriter letters too.
There's a lot that you could fussy cut from these also.
And then on the reverse we've got this really sort of grungy,
rusted, peeling effect, like
almost like old metal, with the print,
almost like the stamps of the old typewriters and
such in there.
So there's the two pages for that and then we have some cards.
Now these are kind of
ATC style cards. You can either use these as maybe pages
for a mini album, you can use them as
journaling tabs on your scrapbook pages,
you could even use them as complete card fronts
If you like smaller cards.
So these are all 6 inches by 4 inches, so perfect, like I say,
for a card front if you like to do greeting cards.
And each one is, it's generic enough
so that you could add almost any sentiment to it.
On the reverse, we've got the monochrome letters
that we saw at the beginning there in the cream,
but the monochrome means you can add
your own colour over the top, so we've got two of those.
Then we've got the stack of books.
This makes a great background, but equally you can fussy cut
into these if you like to get your scissors out.
You've got books of all shapes, sizes and colours
in there. You've got some that are beautiful,
delicate florals. You've got some that are a
little bit darker, maybe for like the Christmas theme,
so you've got some reds and greens here,
example so you can really tie this
this to absolutely any occasion.
On the back we've got another background that
you could use either a small element
of or the whole thing as a scrapbook page.
Very much distressed
but with that underlying text that kind of typewriter
font in the background there.
Then we've got some six inch by six inch squares
so these are again great for complete card bases
for panels on a scrapbook page or you can get your scissors
and you can cut around the designs
and use them wherever you wish.
This kind of watercolor theme as well very much flows through
the whole collection
and on the reverse we have a really funky kind of peeling paint
bright turquoise background with that print
in that letter print as well.
But with this one, this is a colour that is really going to coordinate
but also contrast with the oranges
and the reds to give it a pop of colour.
Then we've got another design page
so all of your wood grain with your text on and then your stack
of books at the bottom.
Cut into these if you prefer, use just a small element for a card say
for example a DL card you can
or a skinny card you can do this shape you can also just take this
up and use panels of this on your you know there's
so much that you can do with each and every page.
Here we've got some stamps, almost geometric type images here,
all to do with typewriters,
the old typewriters in there, and you've got the keys,
you've got some stamps as well,
you've got like the the back space for example,
lots that you can either use as a background,
you can ink onto this as well to add
your own colours being white, black and white,
or you can of course snip into it, use small small elements.
Then another design page, so this one is beautiful.
I absolutely adore this because
it's got so much filling the page
but the perfect amount of white space around the outside.
Again that white space is not completely plain,
you've got the text in there,
you've also got ink splats which
is something that I know a lot of people
like the look of but they don't like to actually
do because it can be quite daunting.
Putting ink onto your page
so yeah that's all done for you if you wish and you can layer
up on top of that.
On the reverse we've got a very simple blue text background
with a little bit of distressing
Passing in there too.
And then beautiful florals, quite deep, moody colours here.
I think this is so, so beautiful.
In fact, I'm just going to bring in my first project
to show you using this background.
I actually used it from the 8x8 pad,
which we'll flick through very quickly in a moment,
but you can see the images are scaled down
to slightly smaller in the 8x8,
but use that there on that background.
I just adore the colours in here.
Teals, pinks, browns, beautiful, beautiful colours together.
Then we've got that text background again
but in the sort of ivory creamy colour that
works so well throughout the collection.
As you can see the two together are just
perfect. Then we have another really nice warm
kind of almost autumnal kind of feel to this one with the oranges
and the reds this would work at
Christmas time this will equally work any time
of year you can use a snippet of it or you can
use lots of it again take
your scissors start snipping out we have got elements from these
pages that are in things like the laser cuts as well
so you can really coordinate on the
background of this one we've got all our typewriter keys
so another background that you can
just use as a complete background
that isn't going to detract from your focal point
Or take your scissors, start snipping out those letters.
Create your own sentiments if you wanted to.
Then we've got a couple of sheets of all of this ephemera.
Now this is not kiss cut.
I'll explain kiss cut in a moment.
This is in the page, complete page,
so that you can snip into it yourself.
Cut out what you need or use it as a full page if you want to.
And on the back we've got another very faded version
of that typewriter text.
But the chances are you're going to be using this side anyway.
So we have two sheets of that. Now we have our kiss cut detail
and kiss cut means that it is the elements
are all cut around very closely as you can see
but they hold within the page perfectly until you pop them out
so each one of these as you
can see will pop away even though it doesn't look like it
but it does because you can't
actually see a bleed line
but they pop away beautifully there's no pips or anything.
So they are really handy to have,
almost like your own ephemera pack
that coordinates with your papers,
put it all in the pad, so perfect for storage.
So two sheets of those.
And then these are really good fun.
So the metal plates, the metal name plates.
So these all pop away, every single one of them.
They look like old rusted metal.
The colours are perfect for the collection
with the deep rusted oranges and those teal blues
and then those darker colours.
They are perfect.
And then even these stamped elements
that I've just squeezed in the spaces,
they pop out as well.
So you've got little sort of number plates there
that you can use on your projects,
just as little extras.
We don't like to waste anything.
Equally, the background,
what you're going to be left with when you pop everything out,
you've got this wood grain in the background just
in case you want to cut small strips from that.
And again, on the reverse, if you do have the reverse showing,
you've got this typewriter
text in there. So you're never going
to be with a plain white reverse on these.
So that is the 12 inch by 12 inch paper pack.
As you can see, you can do lots with that.
That's already a full like project book there.
We have got the same or very similar
In the 8x8. So I'm not going to run through every single one
of the pages, but as you can see from here,
we've got everything the same, just scaled down slightly smaller.
Okay, so really, really perfect.
I'll show you some projects at the end using a lot of these,
but in the back. So we have these pages that are cut out.
as we did before so these all pop away slightly smaller great
for your smaller projects and two
pages and then on the reverse rather than having
those name plates those metal plates that we had
label plates whatever you like to call them we have got two sheets
of the word strips instead black and white
All the phrases here link towards stories,
pages, books, chapters, things like this.
So, for example, the next chapter awaits.
A story worth telling.
Noteworthy.
The story continues.
A message from the heart.
So whether you are making cards or whether you are art journaling.
or whether you are scrapbooking
and documenting memories whatever you choose to do you are going
to be able to choose a sentiment from here that works
and as i say we have got two sheets
and each strip is kiss cut so you can pop them out easily
and then just snip the ends okay
so really good fun there i love these because
those sentiments here the strips that we just saw
they fit in really well with those labels in the back of the 12 by 12.
Okay so now let's get on to some of the other elements.
As we've been looking at the paper
elements let's look at a few more papers that we've got.
We have got decoupage papers. Now
as a rule textured decoupage papers tend to be black and white and this
It's giving you the ability to then ink them in any colour you want.
So, for example, if you wanted this fun typewriter keys design here
to be rusted oranges, you can do that with your watercolours,
with your alcohol inks, whatever colour you like.
So that was beautiful.
And then each of these, there's so many different ways to use them.
I'm going to do some videos using these.
You'll see those all over social media.
You've got the typewriter keys.
You've got
tight font there too and then at the end
so we've got two of each design you've got like the
newspaper print as well and this has got like this pink hue
which is slightly different like
i said we usually do black and white
but i thought let's add a little bit of color
and that works really nicely with some of the other elements
which i'm going to show you
in a moment so they are some of the papers they're with decoupage
papers um while we're talking about things
like papers let's just show you the PET tape
PET tape comes on a huge roll.
Now we have got six sentiments that repeat themselves and they are
all on these clear stickers that you simply peel off
and you stick onto any project. You can see
all six of them here I've just stuck onto white cardstock.
As you can see there's not a high
shine on them so you're not going to get a glare on your projects.
They will show through like
Any pattern paper will come through
that if you're putting it on a coloured cardstock.
They're just such easy sentiments you can have them
in the background or you can have them as
the main kind of focal point for your wording.
And I've gone for not just like story or book
or typewriter themes here and different fonts as well.
So you're going to be using this across all your projects,
all your themes, whatever you're making time and time again.
So we've got celebration,
a special event such as a party when you celebrate an achievement.
That is going to work for anything.
Story, a description of events that actually happened
or that were invented or that are invented.
Family, a group of people or things that are related by blood
or by sharing common interests.
Happiness is the quality or state of being happy.
Wonderful, something that causes or arouses wonder.
Amazing or astonishing, or other alternative words for that.
Love, a strong feeling of warm personal attachment or deep affection.
So you can see you'll be using those over and over and over again,
like I say, for different occasions all the time.
So you've got the PET tape there.
Then let's go to more kind of the paper elements.
In fact, let's come here because you're looking
at these elements and thinking,
great, so I can do cards and I can do journal pages, scrapbook pages,
but you can also do your mixed media tags as well
because we have got some tags.
Now, I love these.
These are going to be a staple in my craft room for such a long time.
I've got loads of packs and I'm going through them very, very quickly.
So there are two different size of tags here.
There's 10 tags in total so in fact if I just show you
the size it's probably easier so we have got
8 by 15 centimeters or 15 centimeters high by 8 centimeters wide
and then we've also got 10
by 20 centimeters there's
a real variation here let me show you the sizes as you can
see here they are on a really good 300 gsm cardstock so
With your inks and your mediums,
you're going to have absolutely no trouble with those absorbing,
staying strong, just keeping the colours nice and vivid as well.
Being white, you can put absolutely any colour you want
on to match your project.
You can ink them, spray them, use your alcohol inks.
Paint them or just leave them, stamp them,
put the decoupage paper on them and then what I've
also included is the sticky like the reinforcers for the holes there
and these are on a matte
paper also so you can be inking these to match your project.
Again a staple not necessarily
just for this collection,
these are going to work really well for you to do your projects on
across any theme, any different collection that you have.
Now, this is probably my favourite part of the entire,
entire collection, and it's kind
of a slightly new concept for textures.
I love this, and I've actually incorporated
this into some future collections as well,
because I love it so much, and I think
you're going to get a lot of use out of it.
So these are laser cuts, and if you've
been following me for any amount of time over the
last 12, 18 months, you'll know
that I adore anything created by Arden Creative Studio.
textures that is laser cuts
because the laser cuts are beautifully vivid they
are delicate or rather intricate rather
than delicate it's probably a better
word they're cut
so finely you can pop them out there's no white bleed around
the edge so these as accents on your projects are beautiful
so let me show
you try and open both sheets for you
so you can see all the design that you're getting
So there's one.
And there's this one's just popped out. Another one
Okay so let's see we have got as you can see books, typewriters,
old bookshops, bookshelves, piles of books.
We've got text, we've got florals in here as well, we've
got clocks, we've got lanterns, we have got so many candles as well.
But the beauty of this is
That some of these elements are layering.
They are going to decoupage up. In fact, it might be
easier if I put them maybe side to side.
We can just squeeze them on the screen there.
So as this one wants to pop out.
Usually they all stay in.
I'm going to show you what I mean by layering. So you've got this
bookstore here, really fun maybe as a background,
but you can also layer it up with another element.
Now this element you could use on its own as like an archway of books,
absolutely, but equally it
layers over perfectly to decoupage and give you the layering here.
Now I'm going to show you a,
Let's show you a card that incorporates.
Everything we've seen so far, so we've got the papers in there,
we've got the layering bookshop as you can see,
so you've got lots of depth in there.
You've also got a layering book,
so we've got elements here that are layered up. This is from
here, so you've got the main book and then you've got the pages,
the smaller element, that layer
over there and that's what we've done here.
These strips here are from the laser cuts too.
The sentiment strip are from the back
of the eight by eight papers that we've just seen
um as are some of the other little bits you've got
the postage stamp up here
a little stand there so lots and lots
and as obviously you can see the papers in the background
so lots and lots coming from what you've already seen but that's how
the lasers layer up so we have got the bookshop
with the bookshop front that layers together
We have got this stack of five books
and we've got the individual books that we'll layer over
to give that a bit of depth. We've got the typewriter here.
You've got part of the front
of the typewriter we'll layer over and you've got the mugs
and cup that will, or mug and cup that
we'll layer over here too.
You've also got the fireplace with the stack of books and the florals.
Here's the stack of books that will go over here.
Okay. I'm just seeing if there's any others. I
I think that is all of them I made.
Notice some later that I didn't show you but I mean you've
got such such delicacy about these and when I say delicate
I mean, I do meaning intricacy because they're not delicate.
Look I can pull this really fine
sort of knotted twine effect out
perfectly. It's gorgeous.
It is delicate but it's not going to tear. They don't tear. They're
made from a really strong cardstock. I just adore laser cuts.
You've also got some florals in there
so you can see everything you're getting.
Now the beauty of laser cuts is that, oops, now I've
pulled these out. So let's pop these back in.
The beauty of laser cuts is that they are double-sided
so you do get the colour on both sides. Of course where there is text
You're not going to get that on the other
side because it would be reversed.
So you do just get the colour instead.
But this is beautiful.
So if I wanted this bookshop here, this beautiful old bookshop,
if I wanted that, but I wanted it for some reason to be flipped,
or say the typewriter to be flipped with the cut the other side,
I can just use the other side of it.
Okay, they are equally, the quality is equal on both sides.
Beautifully vivid images.
So they are the layering laser cuts.
You're going to see a lot of those throughout my projects and
throughout the design team projects as well.
There's lots of demonstrations with them so
that you know exactly what you can do with them too.
So now we're going to move on to
another element that I love from textures
and this is because Arden create it and
when they do create these they do it with such quality.
These are the rub-ons.
So there are two sheets or two design sheets
but you get two of each so there's four sheets in
total in this pack. You do get the wooden stick as well
and the colour that you are seeing on
these sheets on the white base is the colour
when you rub these or transfer these onto your project
that's the colour you're going to see. They really are this vivid.
on your projects it's beautiful
so you've got some whimsical stacks of books lanterns there
some florals as well some smaller elements
that you can use as accents on your pages
two sheets of these and then two sheets
of these ones that are kind of going to be more your
background patterns and almost like to look like stamping
when you have a material say fabric for
example that is quite difficult to stamp onto
and get a clear image this is where rub-ons is going to help you
Something like acetate, parchment, any sort of shiny material
or paper with something with a gloss that you just find difficult
to stamp onto clearly, even things like this watermark here,
you're going to get that show up absolutely beautifully
on your projects because we don't lose the colour.
Although these are on a transparent background,
you simply cut around the area that you want and then transfer it.
Again, I'll show you projects in a moment with them.
Even though you're cutting around and you've got the clear background,
you're not losing the colour.
Honestly, they are so opaque and beautiful.
So you've got all of those rub-ons that
are going to work with the collection.
Before we get into stamps and dies, we've got a stencil.
This one is one that I had as a smaller version previously
with textures, your typewriter font.
And I just had to bring it back.
It makes the perfect background.
It's just absolutely ideal.
And it's a really good staple as well.
So it's a large stencil there for you.
And Arden always give us really good quality Mylar plastic.
It's quite thick.
So putting your pastes through, your inks through,
you're not going to find any sort of bleeding.
Right let's go to stamps before we go to the dies.
So we've got three stamp sets here,
now some of you may recognize this one.
This is one that I've, as you can see it's volume two,
we used to have something similar under the textures line,
not quite the same. Okay now
it's worth saying that we do have a typewriter die as well
and they are not coordinating in
size, they are different sizes.
As you can see this is a large large typewriter stamp.
The die is smaller, but I'll show you the die in a little while.
So we've got this beautiful old vintage typewriter.
Now you can stamp that and you can have it
with the paper coming out the top
or you can simply use your scissors
or mask off your tape and stamp it without the paper.
It's entirely up to you which way you go.
We've got a really nice background of text there
and then we've got some wording that you can use on the paper
or individually on your card if you prefer.
So we've got a special message, just a note to say.
Thank you. You're just my type. And this is our story.
And as you can see, the size is
beautiful. But let's come back to this tag
that I showed you at the beginning.
And you can see how well that stamps.
Now, the Once Upon a Time is a different
stamp set, as you can see underneath.
I'll show you that in a moment.
But yeah, really, really beautiful, beautiful stamp.
And I always find I never have to colour this stamp
because it's just got so much detail in it.
I don't want to lose any of that.
So I just stamp it in black and white most of the time.
But it would look equally as good embossed.
Then we've got our background stamps,
so background textures for things like your art journaling,
if you love your mixed media.
These are going to be typical textures, kind of images and designs.
So we've got a handwritten script,
we've got very much like a storybook here,
so it starts, some fairies once lived
in the dark glen in the pine forest. You've got the
number keys here, it's a long strip, you've got like,
it's kind of like the full alphabet.
typed out with all the punctuation marks it's
really small detail but really beautiful
you have then got the full alphabet in in the keys
and you've got this kind of faded design
you'll have seen this in previous collections this design
but we've now got it as a stamp
again really really good sizes as well
so perfect for building up your backgrounds
and then we've also got our sentiments now i just love
these because i think we've covered
Every, like, birthday, anniversary, new baby, graduation, everything.
I think we've covered all sorts of sentiments and occasions here,
but all different fonts as well.
So things like the details, the end, the story.
They're going to work so well for your scrapbook pages.
And this is where you'll see I used it on the typewriter as well here,
Once Upon a Time.
I actually used the Once Upon a Time, it's just at the top there.
But I snipped into it to cut it into three separate pieces
so beautiful beautiful concept.
Even if you're not going into the whole collection
and thinking okay maybe the rest isn't for me this is
going to work so well for all your other occasions
on your other paper craft projects regardless of
whether you're using typewriters and books and things.
Then we have four die sets to finish off.
Before I show you the project
that I've made so far with this collection.
So let's start with the typewriter since we were talking about it.
It is a smaller version of the typewriter.
Let me get out a cut piece here and not only does this cut out,
it also embosses.
So this is white cardstock that I've used here
and embossed and then run some grey ink
over the top so you can see where
the embossing ink is and you can see the size.
As I say, it's not the same size as the stamp typewriter
so really important that you realise
it's two separate elements.
And this also has the quill and feather die in here.
Now texture's dyes are black.
So you're going to find them when you lose them on your craft mat.
Then we have the bookshelf.
I love this.
So you can build up a stack of books,
a shelf of books, a line of books,
however you want to do it.
If you want to add a few or you want to complete a full background.
Again, you'll see this in action in my projects in a moment.
But you've got layering elements within these too.
So you can layer smaller elements over the top of the larger books.
We've got a book with open pages
and then we've got the spine that you can cut in a different
colour and layer them up. The same
with the closed book where you can see the page edges. So I love
that and it is kind of a take,
a remake on a previous collection, hence we've got the volume
two on there. But it's different.
The books are larger than the previous set that I used
to have for textures and it didn't have the bookshelf in there either.
Then we've got the typewriter keys panel. This again is volume two.
This used to come in with,
it was larger and it used to come in with a cogs and gears type panel
too. That's been discontinued,
but this one works so well with this collection.
So this one, I'm going to bring it in again. I have got other projects.
But I've used that in the background here, just in pink.
Now, the fun thing with this, the exciting thing with this,
is that I've made sure that every single letter
of the alphabet is within there.
Yeah.
You've also got your punctuation marks,
your exclamation and your question mark.
So if you you can cut it as a full panel, it doesn't say anything.
It's just all the typical typewriter letters all
in a nice organic pattern.
However, if you want to spell out a word in typewriter keys,
you can snip into it and you can either type or cut out the whole key
with the circle around it to make it look like a typewriter key.
Or you can actually just snip out the letters
and you've got a full alphabet.
So effectively, it is a full alphabet die too.
Then the last die set that we have before we get
into looking at a few projects
is these edge profiles.
Now these are perfect for this collection but not limited to it
because we have all of the different kind
of notebook style edges here that you can create
and these are repeating so you can cut them
a long like a 12 inch piece if you want you just keep
repeating the cut through so you can see we've got
All of these different edge profiles you've got
the one with the thumb notch there,
you've got torn square pieces, you've got torn round pieces,
you've got neat round pieces like
a scallop with the dots and then you've
also got the neat square ones too, all different
shapes and sizes. Then you've got your post marks as well,
so it's a kind of like a postage stamp
It's got a stamp that's got a stitched middle to it.
Then you've got another little tag with or label
with the stitch center, you've got your
kind of bunting tag there
and to go with your bunting tag you've also got the reinforcing
hole there too. So all of these dies are in this set
and again this is a really good
staple set that works so well with this collection
but equally lots of others too.
So let's bring in a few example projects for you
so this one is a scrapbook page for my daughter
she has just graduated so of course the theme works
so so perfectly those edge profiles we were
just looking at I've got along the edge here okay
so I've got a black and a white and I just love
you can ruffle these up you can tear them even more
if you want to and they work beautifully.
Let's start at the back.
So obviously at the back we've got the 12 inch by 12 inch paper.
A lot of the design here is already in the paper
so I just simply snipped or rather use my
craft tool and I cut along the edge here just
to be able to slot my photo which I've mapped onto
brown paper. Slot that in behind it so it all looks really cohesive.
I haven't had to add much more in the way of things like stamping
in the background but I did use a little bit of the stencil
in the orange to bring the orange from here up.
So I used Distress Oxide Rusty Hinge up the top here,
a few splatters of some brown ink too.
That was before I popped my photo in.
Added those die cut black and white edge profiles,
some elements from the paper pack as well as you
can see here, so this is one of the elements that popped out,
and also the name plate. Now
the name plate I have put, I've stamped on there the end,
this was the end of her university,
obviously graduating, it was a really fun day, but the end just worked.
with the full stop there as well
or period i think if you're not in the uk call it a period but
that i have embossed with clear embossing ink afterwards
so that's just giving it that shine
to make that sort of metal look even more
so and i just finished this off really with a couple of
elements from the papers the approved
and the stamped element there this is from the laser cuts
That's the pen.
and then also from the laser cuts like the rolled up paper
which i think works really well with
graduating of course
so and that was all i needed like it all just came together so
so quickly and easily um okay
so we have ones we've seen already is the card with the um
the layering bookshop on and you've seen a number of times this tag too
so you know all about those
we've got the laser cuts in there too we've got
that background we've got those like the shift
keys from the lasers they're all in there too
then looking again at these layering laser cuts so we've
got three tags here now this is obviously
the larger tag in the pack of tags and these are the
Here are the smaller ones.
So we have got in the background here decoupage paper,
those typewriter keys. In fact I've got
decoupage paper in the back of all three of these.
You'll notice a running theme. So these are all
created together but very very different.
Okay so each one has a decoupage paper in the back.
Okay this is that pinky tone I said about,
black and white, and then this one is the
white. It's crumpled up and I've inked it
so we've got that blue in the background.
Each one also has the edge profile dies at the bottom
to look like the torn notebook or just the neat scalloped edge.
They all have a layering element in them,
a layering piece of the laser cut.
So this one has those books and the fireplace on there.
Okay and then this one has the typewriter on there.
The stack of books is separate but it
works really well behind it
but you've got all that layering there and then this one is again
that same bookshop that we saw
and each one has a sentiment from the 8x8 paper pad.
They just work don't they? Like just so quick and easy to put together.
Now I do love to do art journal pages too
so a bit of mixed media here there's lots in here from
the collection. Now a lot of these projects you're going
to see that I've actually created reels for
social media so you'll see them done a little bit quicker
so kind of sped up versions but you'll see
how I put them together and so this one I use lots of inking
and stamping in the background
so you see elements of the stencil in there with this duck egg blue.
You've got some of the stamped elements in the background.
These two watercolour splashes are from the rub-ons.
You've got lots of the laser cuts here as well.
Now this element here, this typewriter,
the jar of dried flowers, the mug,
that's actually from the papers. I've cut that out from the 8x8 papers.
So it's one of those smaller design sheets
that would be around about 4 inch by 4 inch.
And of course, you can see the elements here from the laser cuts
and from the back of the 8-inch pad as well.
Oh, and even the rub-ons.
So this bit here, a little bit of design,
almost blueprint feel to it, is from the rub-ons.
So there's lots and lots going on there,
but it makes a really fun art journal page.
And then I think the last project I'm going to show you today,
because I've got lots more to show you coming up over
the next few weeks once now this is launched,
is that there's that bookshelf die with the books.
So we've got decoupage paper in the background.
We have got the bookshelf with a stack
of books I've just chosen to do them in these colours to
match the background. We've got the quill
and it's in that typewriter set with the inkwell as well.
I've done the quill from parchment or vellum
so that it looks like a really delicate feather
Thank you, Heather.
and the noteworthy which is of course in the back
of the 8x8 papers makes a nice deep moody
Kind of card, a little bit grungy.
Somebody who loves their books and their old libraries and things.
That's going to be absolutely perfect.
There's going to be lots,
lots more projects coming up for you to see with these.
I know the design team have been working really, really hard as well.
So you see those.
These will be on HobbyMaker TV soon.
