James Kaufman, World News Report Today.
Trump denies any fault in the midterm election catastrophe.
What an ego on the phone.
We have two calls with President Trump today to listen to,
and both show how egotistical the man really is.
In most Americans' minds, President Trump,
for one, did not follow through with many
of his campaign promises,
like the promise to lower costs and stop inflation, his promise
for no more wars, his promise to expose all the Epstein files.
The list does go on.
We can also point to things that he promised after already being
in the office of the presidency,
like a check to all Americans based on the money saved by Doge,
or a check to all Americans based on the huge amount
of money he had already made off the tariffs.
But neither payment was ever issued.
Remember when he said he would eliminate
the income tax based on his tariff income?
How did that work out like it always does for Americans, right?
He is so far removed.
He does not understand that the American consumer is cooked
and is someone
who believes that the stock market trickles down to Main Street,
although the stock market is starting to tell
the real tale of America's Main Street
after being artificially pumped up for over 15 years.
America has seen all prices continue to rise, and this is obviously
because Trump started a war with Iran after saying no more wars.
This war has run up oil and gas prices, thus transportation costs,
and that has spilt over to all items and caused inflation,
not just in America, but globally.
He thinks things are great, and the truth is just the opposite.
American families are slipping through the cracks based
on his policies faster now than ever before.
He must be able to see that consumer defaults are at all-time highs
and the defaults of all kinds are still rising.
Let's listen to what he has to say.
Again, we have two phone calls.
You know, you put out a message on True Social, Mr. President, saying,
I wasn't on the ballot. If I was, this would have been a landslide.
When you did go, you know,
to Dallas and that midterm convention and in in various rallies,
you said, pretend I'm on the ballot.
And clearly there were MAGA faithful that
were fired up that you visited all those places.
They were. But looking at this map.
It doesn't seem like that message got out to the Republican base.
They didn't like the candidates.
And some of the candidates that I endorsed,
they fought me and they didn't like that they fought me. I mean,
this MAGA base is incredible.
The most loyal people, the greatest people,
the people that built America.
And I've had, you know, I was trying to get people in that were
people that frankly, let's say that I didn't get along with.
But for purposes of the party, I went along with it.
And the base would tell me, you know,
hundreds of thousands of people would just say,
sir, they weren't for you.
And, you know, that did spell out all the flaws.
They knew more than I did about these people in some cases.
In other cases, they just didn't inspire the people to get out.
To the issue that Martha mentioned about the war, clearly that's
a message in some of the polls that we see in these exit polls.
That's right.
I don't think it's the war, though, Brad.
I think it's the gasoline price.
People agree with what I'm doing on Iran,
but they really probably weren't willing
to do the short-term consequence of paying more for gasoline.
And, you know, I understand that. It's like I don't agree with it.
And I would say to people, you know, it's a short term.
It's a short-term problem, but for long-term gain.
But, you know, it's too bad.
Hey, look, bottom line is they were not able,
in many cases, to get the vote.
And I think the Democrats did a good job.
I really do.
I think they did a good job.
They fought hard.
They were, you know, they've been fighting for a long time.
They've been fighting me for a long time.
This fight's been going on for ages.
You know, I started, and really,
if you look at it, I've been doing it for...
12 years with them, and I've come up on top all the time.
And this is, I don't say, you know,
I don't like to consider it a defeat for me.
I was on the ballot.
If you're on the ballot,
it's different than if you're not on the ballot.
But nevertheless, you know,
I feel badly for a lot of very good Republicans,
a lot of very good patriots that lost tonight,
because for them to lose is a tough thing.
So, folks, I will say
that J.D. Vance blames it mostly on the war.
This is a very small excerpt
from J.D. Vance's very long exposé he made today.
I will leave a link to it if you want to read it all.
It is extensive.
He says, another pollster,
one of the smartest people I know in politics,
told me yesterday that we lose the generic ballot by 13 points.
I felt negative going into Tuesday.
But even I was shocked by this.
In his polling, he saw a lot of Trump 2024 voters were angry
and planned to vote for Democrats.
He asked those voters
who had abandoned us what would cause them to come back on our team.
The top four answers, accounting for nearly all the responses, were
In the war.
Focus on the cost of living and inflation.
Put America first.
Change our relationship to Israel,
and these can all be traced to Donald Trump's decision
to go to war for Israel against Iran, right?
End the war, change our relationship with Israel.
Why don't we send them billions of dollars a year?
Put America first, which I thought you
were going to do, but you didn't.
And then, of course, the cost of living and inflation.
Well, no one can keep their head above water.
But all of this is because you let Israel lead you
in to a war with Iran
that drove up all the prices via oil and gas and transportation.
That actually caused the cost of living
and inflation to continue to rise.
It surely didn't put America first.
And we'll...
It's all right there on number one.
Blame nothing but yourself because, hey, Thomas Massey was right.
And everyone that was against the war,
and that would include me, were right.
And you're going to have to say, you were wrong.
This was a big wrong, not a small wrong.
You cost the midterms for, well, the Republicans.
And it's really due to.
Israel pushing you into this war,
which pushed up the cost of living and inflation, and that
sure didn't put America first.
Please give us a thumbs up, share this video,
and let's see who agrees and who doesn't agree.
And God bless you all.
