Wichita State gets season opening win

Well, first games are usually pretty dicey, and that was a case tonight. I don't know how many of you remember UNC Asheville last year, but, you know, it's a tie game, two-point lead, five to go, and we go on a 17-2 run to end it. And this game had a lot of those similarities. You know, we just... You just don't have much in the way of film and really navigating that one five pick and roll just caused us a ton of problems. Josiah is a really good player. And we did a number of different things there in the first half. But then during the second half just started switching it on. So to keep him to six for 18. On the game, I don't know what he finished with at the half, but more importantly, one for 11 from three, because we didn't stay as extended as we needed to. And then we're a minus seven on the glass there at halftime, so to only end up minus two to be plus five. So there's some positives to take away. There's a lot to clean up, to be honest with you, up until, you know, no DB, no Dylan Baty, no TJ as of two days ago. We throw Bryce in there and say, hey, we need you to play the fourth spot. And it's something that he'd never done up until two days ago. So for him to be a plus 21 and, you know, only the three turnovers, all that stuff, allowed us to pull out a win over a good CSUN team.
