Here's your N.L. weather for Thursday, Nov. 5
Nov 5, 2026
I'm CBC meteorologist Ashley Braulweiler with a look
at the forecast for Newfoundland and Labrador.
We've got a ridge of high pressure firmly holding place in the east,
and that is going to keep the skies clear for most of the day today.
However, some cloud cover will move in, already starting to do so,
for the western portion of the island and up across Labrador.
Bring the potential for some rain right along with it.
Overall, your temperatures have rebounded
from last night into the single digits for most areas
and will continue to warm up as we head through
the night or through the day.
Rather, temperatures across Labrador at four to nine degrees
and then across the island portion of the province,
somewhere between six to eight degrees
is where we should level off this afternoon.
Winds will be a little breezy, though,
especially for Labrador and the West Coast.
We're looking at those winds gusting somewhere between 50
and 60 kilometers per hour.
Now, tomorrow is going to be mild.
First part of the day on Saturday, also mild,
but we'll hang out in the single digits as we head
into the afternoon for most areas across the island.
Labrador back down below zero for Saturday,
rebounding to around the zero degree mark,
maybe even a little bit above by the time we get into.
