Alright y'all, it's Friday, or what I like to say,
Fry-yay, and to send you into the weekend the right way,
we've got Praise1025's Vida Howard joining us live
to share a little wisdom nugget. Good morning, Vida.
Good morning, Justina. How are you?
I'm doing good. I like that jacket, girl.
Thank you, thank you.
So tell me a little bit about the quote that you are sharing today.
Indeed, this morning's wisdom nugget is from author
and speaker Amy Collette.
She said gratitude is a powerful catalyst.
I'm
starting
to
speak
now.
It also helps build stronger relationships,
so gratitude needs to be a character trait,
not just a pop-up feeling.
Yeah, and I often use gratitude to uplift my mood, right?
If I'm in a bad mood, I'm like,
okay, what are the things that I'm grateful for?
So did we already talk about the iceberg of gratitude?
The iceberg of gratitude.
You know, usually people acknowledge things
that are quote-unquote big things,
things that are above the surface.
You know, you're grateful for your family,
for loved ones, for good health,
for money, for job provision.
Those are all blessings, obviously.
But we need to intentionally.
I
love
that.
What's the last gem of advice that you have about keeping it
to yourself, keeping it close to your heart?
Right. Don't keep it to yourself is the last point.
When it comes to gratitude, author William Arthur Ward said...
Feeling gratitude
and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.
So, yes, we can show gratitude by, you know, a simple verbal thank you.
But there was a positive psychology article
that mentioned we can improve how we show gratitude
by really reflecting on how the kind gesture made us feel
and letting the other person know because they absolutely will
appreciate hearing how something had a real positive effect on you.
Because at the end of the day,
We have to remember, gratitude is a powerful,
a powerful catalyst for happiness.
So let's spread some happiness and kindness and gratitude.
All right.
Thank you so much for joining us on this Friday, Vida.
And you guys can listen to Vida every weekend
on Praise 1025 from 3 to 7 p.m.
And follow her on social media at Vida Howard.
We'll be right back.
