And as we continue to track what we got going
on for us across the Bronx heading into the rest of today.
So we do have a little bit of a break very early in the morning, but we
are expected for our morning commute to be impacted not only by rain,
but by thunderstorms. As you can see for the entirety of the borough,
all neighborhoods look to be getting hit by not only just moderates,
but even heavy rainfall periods between eight
and up to about 11 to noon for this afternoon.
So be mindful though. We could be starting to see a bit more
of that heavier downpours, mainly impacting Hunts Point
and Soundview and also for Melrose, Morrisania, Parkchester.
So I think southern areas of the Bronx,
this is where we could be getting more of those heavier downpours.
And then it starts to alleviate as we get closer to that one,
two o'clock hour. So the rainfall, what this means for you
is just make sure that you have your umbrella ready to go.
And on top of it, staying indoors throughout the early parts
of not only the afternoon, but then once we get to this evening.
Things will start to be clearing up the cold front will
be sweeping in clearing us out and drying us out as well leading
into a Saturday that has a bit more sunshine a few clouds still
but temperatures you can see just staying around 60 degrees
much more fall like throughout the course of the day.
So what to wear for today is another day where I highly recommend
that you have your umbrellas ready to go and also the rain boots
and jackets mainly for the late parts of the morning between eight
o'clock until we get to around one o'clock for this afternoon
and then we'll be seeing a much more improved weather.
Once we get to the back end of the day,
so our morning starts off before sunrise relatively fine,
but from seven o'clock until we get to noon,
that's what we're expecting.
Again, some of those rain to the rain itself to not just be widespread,
but also to have heavy periods as well.
Temperatures are expected to be at its warmest early for this morning,
closer to that 10, 11 o'clock hour.
And as that cold front sweeps its way through, we'll start to see
these temperatures starting to stabilize around the lower 60s.
So upper 60s for today, Morris Heights, Norwood,
and even Parkchester, and Mott Haven around 69 degrees,
with 67 expected for Williamsbridge and for City Island.
As we get closer to tonight and even for the weekend,
we are expected for things to once again get much better.
The weekend is expected to be dry,
and this dry weather will last into next week.
