Even Steph Couldn't See THIS Coming…

Even Steph
couldn't see
this coming.
And the Suns finally made it rain in Arizona.
After a super busy Wednesday,
we had just two games last night and we got a start in San Francisco
where things got emotional.
It's always nice to see Captain Clay back in the Bay Area. He was
signing autographs for the fans
and was welcomed with a standing ovation.
Steph was so happy to
see a Splash Brother that he posed
for the camera just like every other fan would. But
Clay wasn't having it.
There was a lot in the trade.
Thompson swats Curry's layup attempt off
the glass showing no signs of that brotherly
love whatsoever.
Jokes aside, he couldn't block this 3 even if he wanted to.
Yeah, the chef is now 17th all-time in scoring
and can move up to number 12 until the season
ends.
And Giannis has a lot of time as well
but to learn the Heat's defensive rotations
cause on this play he looked lost,
running around from man to man not knowing who's
guarding who.
Luckily, he got around much better on the other side of the ball.
Just his sixth triple, actually his fifth triple of the season.
Five on the shot clock.
Now Giannis, oh he cracked through and threw it down with a left hand.
He's now part of the rotation, the rookie from Louisville.
Giannis rings it up.
Well, he's got the jump shot going tonight too.
Antetokounmpo put Miami up by six late in the first,
but good old Horford immediately cut it in half.
Oh, and moved his feet nicely.
Horford for three.
Perfect.
So in a tight game in the second,
Bobby Portis and George Niang bumped heads on their way
back after
this play.
Speaking
of bullying,
this is
straight up
disrespectful.
Damn, you didn't need to do the 40 year old dirty like that.
He almost broke his hips.
And Klay Thompson continued with his vintage play.
Klay Thompson tonight, he's only taken two shots,
he hasn't made one yet.
That wait is over, a rainbow triple for Klay Thompson.
Sheesh, that was deep and over the outstretched arms of Jaxson too.
Regardless, Landerbor quickly responded on the other end.
Jaxson on the roll, in on Adebayo to land up and in.
And Draymond made another nice play,
this time throwing
a full court pass to Curry for
the touchdown.
The Warriors finish the half strong to get back to square one,
and it would be an understatement
just to say
that they carried
the momentum into
the third period,
because…
The Dubs go on a crazy 17-3 run at the start
of the second half to build an 11-point lead,
forcing Spolster to call a timeout. And with the OGs all on the bench,
it was Charles Bassey who kept the lead safe.
This is where veteran teams like to finish a quarter.
These are the two oldest teams in the NBA.
Bassey with a beautiful block.
Giannis could not get there in time. Yakso draws the foul.
I was waiting for Yakso to track down
block, but he never got into the play.
He's reading the play so quickly.
He's reading the play so quickly.
Bassey was a beast on the defensive end,
blocking away 3 shots and grabbing 7 rebounds in limited
time off the bench.
Meanwhile, after the solid start,
Giannis kept settling for long range shots and kept
missing
them.
Yeah, it's not good when you're pushing things,
something that Doc Rivers agrees with about Giannis.
He's really a difficult guy.
I was telling someone this.
He has this great passing ability,
but he doesn't necessarily have the super IQ at the same time.
It's really a strange thing.
And he really has one way, downhill, force, forceful.
Like every play, he wants to force it.
And there's times where I wish he did one thing.
I wish he learned how to execute better.
In 31 minutes of action, the Greek Freak had 20 points,
14 boards, 4 assists and 4 turnovers
while being minus 22, the worst on his team.
So down by 15 at the start of the final period,
Davion Mitchell was the sole guy putting up
a fight
for the Heat.
Devin improved a lot since last year,
going from 9 points and 6 assists to 16 and 8 this
season. Heck, he scored 16 of his 22 points
in the 4th quarter on 50% shooting from the
field, but to no avail. The Warriors were just too hot to handle.
We locate Steph Curry. It's gotta make something out of nothing.
Fades, fires, and runs.
After draining his sixth three of the night for 29 points,
the Old Chefs sat on the bench and let the
others
finish
the job.
Yaxel had to knock it away, got it back,
got it to Niang and laid it up and in.
Unselfishness again from Yaxel.
I'm not sure.
Lob, and Yaxel pays it off!
Landerborg puts the exclamation point
with the alley-oop slam for the utmost pleasure of the
crowd. And Steph was reassuring himself
on the bench that this was not a dream. That's his
sixth game-winning streak that they're currently on is very real.
On the contrary, after falling
to 3-6, Miami needs Andrew Wiggins to wake up immediately,
and they need another ball handler
ASAP. Another team that's in desperate need
of a point guard are the Phoenix Suns, but last night,
They didn't look too bad against the Magic.
And
mainly
because
of this
guy.
Booker bursted out of the gate scoring 12 points
in the first quarter to put his team up by
7.
And he continued doing damage in the second period as well.
Book finishes the half off
in style, nailing
his 3rd 3 of the night
for 23 points already.
Up by 12, the Suns only ramped up the pace coming out of the break.
The Suns come back with their own forced turnover.
Two-man game, Brooks playing in,
and Dylan Brooks with a quick ball that they're gonna make you pay.
Wow, the half court lob from Booker
to Dunn got the fans excited
and put Phoenix up by
23 points.
It wasn't just Booker, they were clicking on all cylinders.
Brooks and Bridges added 24
and 18 points respectively
on superb efficiency.
Matter of fact, the entire team shot
the ball extremely well pouring in 17 threes on 50%
from deep. Of course you're gonna win
the game shooting like that. At the end,
Booker finished the game with 30 points,
8 assists and 3 steals in only their second win of the season
On the other hand, Wendell Carter
Jr. was the sole bright spot for Orlando, putting
up 27 points and 13 rebounds on a blistering 83% efficiency.
But they'll need Booker
and Suggs back in business as soon as possible if they want
to dig themselves out of this hole that they're in at the start.
Yo, yo, thanks for watching.
Yesterday was a special day for me.
First of all, we passed 700,000 subscribers,
so I want to thank all of y'all for rocking
with me.
This is year 10 of Heat Check.
I'm so grateful, man.
I could never imagine this going so far.
That's one thing.
And at the same time, within the same hour, actually,
a video of mine went up on Golden State Warriors' channel
about Yaxel Vandenbergh.
I did a breakdown for Yaxel.
I did everything, script writing, video editing,
even the thumbnail design.
The only thing I didn't do was the voiceover.
But it's such a crazy thing, bro.
I'm going to leave the link in the description.
You can check out my breakdown of Yaxel.
And yeah, show some love over there.
Talk to you in the next one.
Peace out.
I got to make this.
It was a special day.
I got to make sure I make it.
