Katarzyna Kociomyk Painter Poland 1973

Mi Kociomyk (Poland 1973) graduated with honors from one of the most prestigious Polish academies of fine arts. Her paintings are in private collections in the United States, Canada, South America, Europe, Australia and Asia.
“I painted my first oil painting at the age of 4. I think it was at that time that I started thinking about becoming a painter. Through painting, I created my own spaces and new worlds from a small element of reality. This inner and outer reality seemed to be my first inspiration. After elementary school, I applied to a strictly art-oriented high school and towards the end, I was considering studying at one of the best academies of fine arts in Europe.
In October 1993, I was admitted to the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and within a few weeks I was studying with some of the best art teachers in the country. I graduated with honors, with a solid technical foundation, a deep knowledge of art history and a better understanding of the word “artist.”
