The 10 Tiaras Diana Never Got to Wear

In this documentary-style film, we open ten royal tiaras the palace never allowed Princess Diana to wear: the Halo Tiara, the Meander Tiara, the Lotus Flower Tiara, the Strathmore Rose Tiara, Queen Mary’s Fringe Tiara, the Greville Tiara, the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara, the Grand Duchess Vladimir Tiara, the Oriental Circlet and the George IV Diamond Diadem.

For each jewel we ask two questions: what kept it shut, and whose head did it reach instead? You’ll also learn about the jewellers behind these pieces (Cartier, Garrard, Boucheron, Bolin), the Cambridge Lover’s Knot that Diana did wear, and the Spencer tiara she brought from home. We also look at how seven of the ten later appeared on Catherine, Princess of Wales, and Queen Camilla.
