The Russian army took advantage of the ceasefire during a humanitarian mission in occupied Oleshky and deployed over a thousand troops to the left bank of the Kherson Oblast. Ukrainian defenders haven't ruled out the possibility that the enemy may be preparing to attack Kherson, but they insist they are prepared to repel any advances. This was reported to the Crimea.Realities project by the 34th Separate Marine Brigade of the Ukrainian Navy.

According to Yaroslav Moroz, head of the unmanned systems unit of the 34th Brigade, during the ceasefire, the Russians were able to amass forces in positions from which Ukrainian forces had been pushing them back for the past six months. As a result, the enemy effectively moved 20 kilometers closer to the line of contact.

Before the ceasefire, the situation on the left bank of the Kherson region was different. The Ukrainian Armed Forces expanded the affected area, pushed back Russian units, and cut off their logistics routes. At the same time, the marines have not yet recorded any large-scale assault attempts. According to Moroz, only isolated movements of Russian troops are being reported.

Yaroslav Moroz reported that the Russians arrived in the occupied territory by car. Ukrainian military monitored their movements, including their departure after the personnel transfer was completed.

"They arrived simply in vehicles, as they did in 2022. Then, when the vehicles left, we monitored everything, and far fewer vehicles and personnel left. There have been no large-scale assault attempts yet, just isolated movements. All these isolated movements were stopped, and the personnel were eliminated. There are no large-scale assaults at this time. But we are prepared for them," the military officer noted.

In addition to personnel, Russian troops delivered a significant amount of equipment and ammunition to the Oleshky hospital. According to Moroz, the occupiers understood that Ukrainian defenders would not attack the building because it was treating local residents.

The 34th Separate Marine Brigade is defending Kherson and also holding positions on the left bank of the Kherson region and on the islands.

At the end of October, a ceasefire was in effect in the Kherson region for several days. It was introduced to allow for a humanitarian mission to the occupied town of Oleshky.

As a result of the operation, several hundred people trapped in the dilapidated city were able to escape to government-controlled territory. It was during this period that Russia deployed over a thousand troops to the occupied part of the Kherson region.
