Toronto’s Portuguese community holds farewell party for Cristiano Ronaldo

What brought me here is the passion, you know, for the national team, for Cristiano, you know, growing up. As you see, I'm wearing the 2004 Euro Cup, the first jersey that Cristiano Ronaldo wore at a major tournament. It's passion, you know, it's very strong, you know, it's within our community, within the diaspora around the world, all the Portuguese around the world, yes. I've been following his achievements for as long as I can remember and I'm here because he's my idol and I want to be just like him. He influenced my love for soccer because He made achievements that no one could ever, But I've everyone can ever dream about. Cristiano Ronaldo is a role model for millions around the globe, millions around the globe. So you're very sad about that? I'm very sad, but at the same time, I'm very grateful to him that I grew up Watching him, as you see the jersey here, and his belief in himself, disciplined, there's no words to describe it.
