Tatiana Goldfarb (1914 - 1964), piano

Goldfarb was born in Odessa. She studied piano at the Odessa Conservatory with Berta Reingbald. Upon graduating in 1932, she became a soloist with the Odessa Philharmonic organization; she held the same position with the Kiev Philharmonic from 1935 to 1938.
In 1937, she was placed ninth at the 3rd International Frederic Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw. Between 1935 and 1938, she continued her post-graduate studies in Kiev with Abram Lufer, and from 1939 to 1941 she studied at the Moscow Conservatoire with Heinrich Neuhaus. She taught at the Tbilisi Conservatory.
