Shen Yun's 2026 Mid-Autumn Festival Technique Showcase will premiere exclusively on Gan Jing World on Oct. 24, 2026, at 8 p.m. ET, available for a limited time. Featuring Shen Yun's top dancers and rising stars, the showcase highlights the world's highest standard of classical Chinese dance.
Filmed during the Mid-Autumn Festival at Shen Yun's headquarters, the showcase features the pinnacle of classical Chinese dance technique: shen-dai-shou ("the body leads the hands") and kua-dai-tui ("the hips lead the legs"). The dancers fully elongate their limbs to create elegant movements with expressivity and a noble aura. Even the most challenging leaps, twirls, and flips are executed with effortless grace and stability, harmonizing strength and beauty with the music and rhythm.
The year 2026 marks the 20th anniversary of Shen Yun Performing Arts, the world's premier classical Chinese dance and music company. In the 2026 season, eight equally large touring companies, each with a live orchestra, performed simultaneously in 20 countries on five continents, presenting more than 730 performances to over one million audience members. The showcase offers audiences the chance to witness the art form behind the global phenomenon.
