RFK Jr.'s Running Mate Says They Are Considering Joining Trump; DNC Day 2 Takeaways | NTD
Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s running mate Nicole Shanahan says they're considering dropping out of the presidential race to join forces with former President Trump. Shanahan says the independent candidate doesn't have a clear path to victory, and doesn't want to take votes away from Trump. She said Kennedy hasn't received a fair chance at winning the election and is considering two options, forming a new party or joining Trump's campaign.
Former President Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama delivered speeches in support of Vice President Kamala Harris on the second day of the DNC. Outside, anti-Israel protesters clashed with police leading to multiple arrests. Kamala Harris was reaffirmed as the Democratic nominee, and stressed the difficulty of the upcoming election.
Former President Trump and his running mate, Senator JD Vance took their message on crime to police departments in two battleground states. They're pledging to improve conditions for law enforcement officers if Trump wins in November. It's part of a campaign effort to counter the energy of the Democratic National Convention this week.
