路易斯阿姆斯壯公園佔地32英畝（13萬平方公尺），位於路易斯安那州新奧爾良市特雷梅街區，與法國區隔著蘭帕特街相望。
1960年代，一項頗具爭議的城市重建計畫夷平了剛果廣場附近特雷梅街區的一大片土地。經過十年的爭論，市政府最終將這片土地改造成瞭如今的公園。公園由新奧爾良建築師羅賓·萊利設計，以出生於新奧爾良的爵士樂傳奇人物路易斯·阿姆斯特朗的名字命名。
如今的公園內有新奧爾良市政禮堂、瑪哈利亞傑克遜表演藝術劇院以及新奧爾良爵士樂國家歷史公園的幾座建築。公園中緊鄰新奧爾良市政禮堂的部分是剛果廣場的所在地，該廣場原名博勒加德廣場，因其在非裔美國人音樂和精神實踐史上的地位而聞名。
1970 年，首屆新奧爾良爵士音樂與文化遺產節在路易斯阿姆斯壯公園舉行。雖然該音樂節現已移至更大的新奧爾良展覽場地，但阿姆斯特朗公園近年來也舉辦了許多其他活動，包括“公園爵士樂”免費音樂會系列、Treme Creole Gumbo Fest 以及路易斯安那州卡津與 Zydeco 音樂節。
