Jessiah reacts to Donald Trump's predictably stupid and divisive July 4th practices.
Happy birthday, America. Today is July 4th, Independence Day, the 250th anniversary of
the signing of the Declaration of Independence. And rather than try to unite the country or
behave in any way presidential, the current sitting president, Donald Trump, a malignant
narcissist, sociopath, and lawless authoritarian, who also happens to be the most corrupt president
in American history, is instead spending his 4th of July complaining about the Democratic Party
and mocking his political foes because he hates Democrats much more than he loves this country,
including his own supporters. But before we unpack all that, if you end up liking this
video and you want to support the channel, please be sure to hit the like, subscribe,
and alert bells before you go. All right, folks, Donald Trump is unique among American presidents.
He's dumber, more narcissistic, more sociopathic, more lawless, more corrupt, more authoritarian,
and uniquely divisive, right? This wasn't the case for Presidents Bush and Reagan and George H.W.
Bush, despite their many, many, many policy flaws and faults. I think that they were patriots of
a sort. I don't think they hated everybody in this country. Donald Trump hates everybody in
this country who don't support him. And quite frankly, he has a lot of contempt and disdain
for those who do support him, right? That's the malignant narcissist's worldview. So rather than,
again, celebrate the 4th of July the way that a patriot would, he instead does this.
Trump launches dead of night attacks on Democrats to ring in 4th of July.
Donald Trump was up late launching social media attacks on prominent Democrats,
Texas State Representative James Tallarico, and Senator John Ossoff in the opening minutes and
hours of the 4th of July weekend. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton's primary victory over John
Cornyn set up a much closer race for U.S. Senate against Tallarico than many foresaw.
Trump endures Paxton in a move that angered Republicans by aiding a much weaker opponent
for Tallarico. Ossoff, on the other hand, is locked in a re-election battle with Representative Mike
Collins. Both of them were on Trump's mind Friday after his keynote address at a Mount Rushmore
event celebrating the nation's 250th year. But first, he posted a photo of his Mount Rushmore
flyover in the Qatari gift Air Force One. So this is the new Air Force One. And as a reminder,
not only did Trump get it as a gift from the Qataris, he bullied them into just giving him
the plane. They wanted to sell it to him. He's like, no, give it. Give me. I'm a very special
boy. You give it. And then he forced the American taxpayers, so you and I and our loved ones in our
communities, to fork over between $400 million and $1 billion to upgrade it, to retrofit it
into becoming the new Air Force One. And then he plans on taking the plane with him when he
leaves office. So he just stuck us with the bill, and he's going to take the damn plane with him.
At about 2 a.m., Trump posted a meme intended to attack Ossoff by replacing him side by side
with the character Pee Wee Herman, the alter ego of Paul Rubens. Now, again, I don't know
if Trump wants to start making personal attacks based on physical appearance. John Ossoff is,
I think, by most objective standards, a very attractive man. Donald Trump is not. So I'm
not sure he wants to throw stones in this particular glass house. Trump has previously
waded in on the issue of Georgia's Senate election with a Truth Social post praising
Collins and deploying a schoolyard attack on Ossoff's name that was both exclamatory
and masturbatory. So happy for the highly respected Congressman Mike Collins. He will
win his Senate race in Georgia against a pathetic failed Democrat, right? Because I replaced the E
with a U, and you take the B off dumb. Nobody knows that dumb has a B in it. Everybody who's
not dumb knows that. Os jerk off, who is a joke in D.C. Nobody even knows who he is. I'll be doing
a big Trump rally for Mike in Georgia. President D.J.T. At about 2.20 a.m., Trump posted an attack
on James Tallarico with a side by side of Mad Magazine icon in our area. What me worry, kid
Alfred Newman. Both races figured to be tough ones for Democrats who need to retain Ossoff's
Georgia seat and hope for a long shot win in Texas to take control of the upper chamber.
I will tell you, as I mentioned in a video yesterday, unfortunately, our odds of taking
the Senate have dipped in the past week or so. It's no longer quite a coin flip. Now,
of course, there's a chance that we can reverse that momentum, right? It's still
reasonably close, but the momentum is now going in the opposite way. And folks, we really need,
we really, really, really need both chambers of Congress. Speaking of Ossoff, I'll play a clip of
him in just a second, because Trump doing this just made me think, oh, yeah, this is a good clip
from Ossoff. We'll conclude with that. But the other thing I want to show you is Trump's most
recent post on the 4th of July. This is from today. Has anyone ever seen a happy Democrat?
Again, not Democrat, Democrat. And he took the B off. President Donald J. Trump. Again, no
happy 4th of July, happy Independence Day, nothing like that. If you look on Trump's
true social feed, none of that to be found. Instead, it's just one attack after another
against the Democratic Party. So he's the sitting president of the United States. It's
Independence Day. It's our national holiday. It's the 250th anniversary of the establishment
of this country for all intents and purposes, a rebellion against the British crown.
And he will be presiding over that. And rather than use the opportunity as a wildly unpopular
president whom nobody likes to try to unify the nation and perhaps benefit himself politically,
he's just such a petty small person. He's obsessed with attacking the Democrats instead.
This is who Donald Trump is. And it deserves nothing but your contempt and your disdain.
He does not deserve your respect. He does not deserve your reverence. He does not
deserve the respect you would afford a general occupant of that office. You shouldn't call him
President Trump. You shouldn't call him Mr. President. You should react the way that Trump
himself reacts to you, the way that he treats you and your loved ones in your community.
You should express contempt and disdain. Love your country, despite its faults, in my opinion.
I think that, as Mayor Mamdani mentioned in his address yesterday from behind President
George Washington's desk, a righteous dissent is the ultimate form of patriotism.
America is not your spouse. I've heard conservatives compare America to your spouse.
You're supposed to love America like you love your spouse. You wouldn't complain all the time
about your spouse, would you, if you want your marriage to endure? That is true. You probably
don't want to complain about your spouse all the time if you want a healthy, happy marriage.
But America is not your spouse. America is your home. And as I've said in previous videos,
if you live in a house or an apartment or some sort of domicile, you have a home.
And if your home has problems, it would be foolish and dishonest to pretend that it doesn't
and to simply ignore the problems and hope that it goes away. If you have a leaky roof,
you need to acknowledge the leaky roof and deal with the leaky roof. If you have an unstable
foundation, you should do the same thing as well. America is our home. And there are many great
things about this country politically, culturally, in terms of entertainment and music, in terms of
its cuisine, in terms of its people. We are the oldest contiguous constitutional democratic
republic with a written constitution. There are so many unlikely and extraordinary things about
this nation. This nation has some very, very deep flaws and had deep flaws from the beginning.
And many of them have gone away, right? Slavery is no longer here, for example. And race relations,
believe it or not, in this nation have generally gotten better over the long arc of history,
but because people forced it that way. Because civil rights leaders and suffragettes, women
who demanded the right to vote, they forced the nation to change. The nation didn't organically
change and really isn't inclined to change on its own. Righteous people and righteous cause
told the nation, you need to change and you will change. And they changed it for the better.
And there are still issues to this day that we need to address. And Trump and MAGA are trying
to take us backwards. They are trying to ruin the progress of this nation and regress us, right?
And Trump is a manifestation of that. And so we engage in righteous dissent. It is righteous. It
is good. It is patriotic to mock and show contempt and disdain for Donald Trump. That is not just
not an American. It's not just not anti-American. It is profoundly American, profoundly patriotic
to salute the flag and give the president the finger because **** him. He's a loser. He's
authoritarian. He's corrupt. He's lawless, the worst president in American history.
And when he leaves office and Democrats replace him, we're gonna take his name and face off
everything and he will be treated with the contempt and disdain he deserves.
Speaking of John Ossoff, though, somebody that Donald Trump attacked,
I want you to hear this clip from the senator. Americans aren't a race. We're a people
united, not by ethnicity, but by shared convictions.
And that is what makes us exceptional and a beacon to the world.
Sounds pretty patriotic to me. I was at the DNC in 2024. American flags everywhere. People were
wait. Listen, people love this country even when they're upset with this country, right?
The idea that the Democratic Party aren't patriots, it's absurd. The Republican Party
in its current iteration, they're not patriotic. Just think 250 years on what the founders would
see if they visited us today. But wait, they would see that slavery had been abolished.
They would see that Americans without land and then women's and then the descendants of slaves
had secured voting rights. They would see that our science and discovery propelled human knowledge
to unimaginable heights and that those 13 colonies had grown into a superpower that defeated the
Nazis and communism. They'd see a pluralist democracy, people of all colors descended
from every point on earth stitched together out of many nations into one. But they'd also see a
nation that at the height of its wealth and power fell into the very traps they most feared,
devouring itself in bitter conflict between warring factions captured by special interests.
And they'd see a faithless president exploiting this rot to pursue the absolute power they
overthrew. A president who's embarked on this unmistakable project not to lead us, but to rule
us. Exactly. If you looked at President George Washington's farewell address, I've referenced
this multiple times, he predicts Trump so accurately, the only thing he's missing is
Trump's social security number. The founders feared demagogues and authoritarian lawlessness.
And I would argue, unfortunately, they didn't do nearly a good enough job to institutionalize
guardrails. But the truth is our entire way of life, our entire system of government is
predicated on good faith. And if you have bad faith actors who take power and look to shred
institutions, there's very little that you can do to bad faith proof a system of government.
And at the end of the day, it comes down to you and I and the voters. We actually have to hold
our corrupt leaders to account. We have to replace them with better leaders, even if those leaders
are still flawed. We have to punish the corruption and authoritarianism. And yes, we need to change
institutions vigorously and boldly, as the Constitution permits, with the power that we
have. And so on the Fourth of July, as we continue to express righteous contempt and disdain for
Donald Trump and the MAGA movement, we should love this country enough to want to win elections
and change it for the better. In the meantime, let me know what you think in the comments.
