'Gutfeld!': 'Poll says Dems HATE America'

The poll says Dems hate America, Steve. Not a surprising Gallup poll here. Ask Americans to pick three values from a list of 12 that the country needs most. Republicans rank patriotism as their top value. Hold your applause. No, kidding. Uh, they, uh, Conversely, Democrats said it was their least important out of 12, instead of, of course, choosing equality and fairness above all. Uh, are you surprised? What, why do you think this is the case? I'm not surprised, unfortunately. Look, this is a tragic poll, but I think it's quite accurate. And what it tells me as a campaign operative is that we have to win. It's imperative. In other words, this is an unbridgeable gap. There's no, there's no persuading the other side. We have to politically win and then we have to effectively use the power we earn. That's what it tells me. So why is it happening though too? I think there's a couple of reasons. Number one, our educational system has not only not taught patriotism, but for decades has taught young people to hate America, and to especially hate white Christian male America, right? So we have to reform that, I think, for one. And then number two, and I know this is controversial, is because we are overrun with immigration. And I believe we need a moratorium. We need to take a pause. We need to assimilate the immigrants that we have here. We need to heal our own country, believe in patriotism again. Then we can restart immigration at some point in the future. It used to be if you accused somebody of not being patriotic, they'd get very defensive. But it feels like that's no longer the case. It's almost, yeah, of course. It's a badge of honor. I don't hate the country enough. I think that in some places it would be offensive. Yeah. Like if you were to go into a Tunnel to Towers benefit concert and find any guy and walk up to him and say, I don't think you're patriotic, you might get hit. Yeah, yes. You might end up getting a free house. Yeah, I think, yeah. Yeah, I think, but I think, I think it is also very much, even this reminds me, we were talking about last week where the people who were moving to Europe because they thought it was this leftist paradise for some reason were reporting on Reddit threads. Hey, it's not so great here. I'm having these problems. They're getting downvoted to hell because it's almost just, you, you, you delude yourself to thinking that this is just such a horrible country. Not that there's not problems with this country or any and every country, but You, like, have to hate it or else, you know, you're not welcome in the club. Yeah, you know, and I wonder, Tyrus, if Steve is right in the sense that it's kind of a thing that can't come back in certain. Well, what it is is patriotism, because here's the thing, and it's not what this particular poll, but there's been other polls. No matter who's in the White House, Democrat or Republican. Conservative patriotism doesn't drop much because patriotism is integrity. That means when things aren't going your way in this country, that's when you believe in it the most. That's when you work the hardest and you fight. The other side is whenever it's not my way, I want to take my ball and go home and everything sucks. They're basically a three-year-old little girl, just a little bully who when it's not her party and not her turn. And that's what their party is. And also, they're all victims. So, of course, I live in the worst country in the world. And then if you were to say to them, I am so sorry. So you're just going to sit here in your own tears and form little groups and dye your hair so you all can be special without actually being special and complain because it's... It's just sounds so good that you're so tormented because this is the only place in the world where you can sit on your ass and get everything you want and claim you got it so bad. Yeah. Poor babies. It's weird. You know, Jamie, it's not like we walk around and we want everybody to be like, you know, Pete Hegseth. You know, we just, you know. We just want people to be realistic about how lucky they are to be in this country. Yeah. Not a lot to ask. You're absolutely right. And to be grateful. And isn't it strange that it's the American flag of our country? But if you see someone walking down the street in New York City and they have an American flag shirt, it's a Republican. Yeah. And it's actually become like that's a. And you're also, that's an interesting point. And you're also surprised when you see it. Yeah. And you're surprised when you see it. You, if you see someone with a flag, you know, it's a Republican, much like with a Democrat. You know, if you see someone with breasts and a penis. But I thought Tyrus made a great point, too. It's that it's the victimhood. My least, my most important attribute and also the thing that makes me the angriest is people that don't take responsibility. And it's like this victim mindset that I want to blame this person for my problems. You relinquish control over doing anything in your life. And it's like, I know I do make a lot of jokes about my ex-wife on the show, just for the record. It's all, it's just jokes based on facts. It's, um, yeah. It's just like silly stories I've come up with based on things I saw with my own two eyes. But even in like my failed marriage, I still take responsibility. Like I go, what if I had not found out she was sleeping with that guy? That's on me. That's something I could have done too. You were so judgmental when you found out as well. I mean, you know, you could have handled it better. Yeah, you could have handled it better. You didn't have to kick him out of the house. Hand him your robe. Ask him if he likes something to eat.
