Here's a quick look at the 2022 Cadillac Escalade. Love, love, love the massive front end on this
bad boy. We're going to get full LED headlights and LED fog light. Parking sensors all along the
front. This is the sport package. $102,398 is the Canadian MSRP. This specific one we have is the
massive 6.2 liter V8 with the 10 speed automatic transmission. You can also get a diesel engine,
but today we just got the straight gas. Let's look at the exterior here. Obviously,
if you're going Escalade, you might want to go super black, which is the one we have
in front of us here. And look at these massive 22s that it's sitting on. Front and rear disc
brakes. I love this two-tone look with our Cadillac badging. And then we have turning
accents on the mirror. Blacked out running rails as well. You have keyless entry so you can get in.
All you got to do is just put your finger right on the Cadillac emblem there and it's gonna
unlock the door as long as you have the keys in your pocket. There's not many words to describe
this thing. Besides, this thing is a beast. Like, geez, when you put your foot down, you feel
that huge V8 power. Huge takeaways right away when I get in. I notice how comfortable the seats are
and my eyes gravitate towards this Cadillac symbol behind me right in my back here. And then there's
speakers right in the headrest, which is pretty neat as well. So definitely a unique experience
being in this car. Fully blacked out tinted windows, blacked out roof rails. Let's check
out the rear. I love what they did with this hidden hitch on the back as well. You have two
ways to access the trunk through the rear windshield or through the lift gate. Let's
jump inside and check out the interior. 420 horsepower and 450 pounds feet of torque coming
out of that 6.2 V8. And right now we're in the business end and there's so much going on here.
There's a lot to talk about here. I love how everything is digital. You have these two large
digital displays and you have the digital rear camera there. Screen in front of me behind the
wheel. You can display things like your augmented reality or you can do the mapping for your
navigation or you can just do your digital gauge cluster behind the wheel there. There's a heads
up display as well and you can adjust where that is at. It's going to show your digital speedometer
and your traffic sign recognition. You can switch automatically for the four high and four low. It
does it just with the push of a button down here. And then there's a handful of different drive
modes. You have a touring mode, a sport mode, an off-road mode, a towing mode and you can even
just create your own mode using the my mode. So a lot of customization on the Escalade that
surprised me. The seats are heated and air conditioned on both sides. So you have ventilated
seats perfect on a day like today. And then you have things like brake controller if you're using
that tow haul mode. But I got to direct your attention to the center console here guys. Like
look at this shifter knob. Definitely a unique shifter knob. It does fit in your hand perfect.
It almost feels like I'm holding a gun right there. So really neat. And then you have your
dial here to control your middle screen and just kind of help you from reaching across. You can
use the dial automatically. That's for like your radio and your vehicle information navigation.
It's all going to display on the middle screen. I love all the screens like I mentioned here with
augmented reality. It just looks great while you're driving. It will take some getting used
to to be honest. It's a little distracting when you're actually like behind the wheel of this
thing. But certainly if you want a luxury family vehicle then I would certainly recommend this. I'd
probably have to move out of my house just to afford the payments on this. But if you could
afford it, this is a fun family hauler. Especially if you're doing things like towing or going to
trailer. It definitely has all the capability that you need. There's a small apartment back here.
Look at this. This one comes with the two captain chairs. And let's jump into them. The actual
seats are super comfortable. It's a little dark in here. Let's open up that sunroof. Huge sunroof.
Goes all the way to the back here and lets a lot of light into the car. Now one thing we did notice
is the rear seats. They are the fastest power folding rear seats that I've seen. Definitely
lots of space back here. And they fold up and down just with the touch of the button. Super quick.
You're probably curious how your kids are going to get into the third row. There's lots of space
between the two captain chairs. But they can also drop these seats. Look at that. Wow. So quick and
easy to get in. I'm super impressed with how all these seats fold. Definitely a unique sounding
radio system. Like I said, I love the speakers in the back. I love the sunroof. And I just love the
full black. Everything is just black from the trim to the dash. There's no two-tone interiors
or contrasting interiors. Just black from top to bottom. And if you're that type of person,
it's black. What can I say? Everything is black. Definitely like all the parking assistance too.
So there's sensors on all four sides of the vehicle when you're backing up. It makes it
really easy to back up. Sometimes you can be a little intimidated to back up this large vehicle.
But with all the technology in it, it definitely makes it easy to back up. When you have the back
seats folded up, there is a lot of space in the trunk. More than what your normal seven passengers
are. What I love is just the luxury feeling and all the tech. Like I still, we've only been driving
this for a little bit, but I still haven't figured everything fully out here. It will probably take
a solid month to figure out everything and how to drive it. But you guys comment below. What did
you think of the Escalade? Have you guys driven one? Maybe we'll do a wrap video here on Cars
Unlocked and we'll ask to get this again and we can make a wrap video for you guys.
And we'll see how my wrapping skills are. Subscribe, comment below. Have a great day.
