2027 Nissan Kicks has officially gone off road.
The Rock Creek is nothing new to Nissan but here
it is on the Nissan Kicks for the first time.
Now here in Canada this one has an MSRP of $36,670.
For all my American friends out there it has
an American USD for this all-wheel drive model of
$28,860. Let's go through what you get on this package.
As we know the Rock Creek comes with
a lot of cosmetic accents
so here you can see you have kind of these orange inserts right in our
front grille we also have our Rock Creek badging on the front grille
and we have our red or orange
kind of nissan symbol is all oranged out there
is a forward facing camera with this Rock Creek
package you do get the around view monitor
which we'll show you when we start it up and standard
on the kicks comes different collision sensors
it's nissan signature led headlights and you're
gonna have the automatic high beam assistant
as well checking out the side profile of the nissan
kicks you can see this one comes in the full black interior
but you get this exclusive Rock Creek
badging right on your door panel there
and then as we shift over to the rims you do get the 17 inch
aluminum alloy rims with the orange insert
and the orange nissan emblem as well now traditionally on
Rock Creek packages like we've seen in the Rogues
or the pathfinders you do get the all-terrain
tires it's important to note that this kicks Rock Creek edition
is going to come with regular
all-season tires these specific ones
are Kumho tires obviously like i said 17 inch now exclusive
to every Rock Creek you do get these tubular roof rails
this one's rated at 165 pounds for a Nissan
Kicks, these are adjustable roof rails
so great if you do want to strap things off the roof but
a little low capacity on the Nissan Kicks
for 165 pounds in my opinion I feel like you would need
more depending on what you're doing, having a look at the rear, that red
and orange kind of color goes
on throughout, you do have the orange Nissan badge
and then this one comes with LED tail lights, you
also get the all-wheel drive badging
with the little Rock Creek emblem on the back
backup camera as well and you have
your rear parking sensors, now before we start this thing up
this is your moment to subscribe if you guys are new

us a thumbs up, put your comments in below, what
do you think of the Rock Creek package here? Are you
considering a 2027 Nissan Kicks? What other options
are you exploring? I'd love to hear in the comments
but this one comes with the Nissan intelligent key, you have
your remote starter your lock unlock
and your panic button right on the key
so you can just click the lock button and hold the remote
starter and there it's going to start up
and we're good to get inside now as we jump into this 2027
Rock Creek package, right away you can see it does come
with the Rock Creek leatherette seats so it
has the leather and then it does come with this little cloth insert
and the nice orange stitching
on the inside which I like with our Rock Creek badging
this one is a six-way manual adjustable
driver's seat and that orange stitching continues all throughout
the dash you see in the center
console on the steering wheel
so it kind of gives a unique look from the traditional white one all
right let's start this thing up
and take a look at some of the interior features it's going to come
with heated steering wheel
and it is a leather wrapped wheel right on the wheel you do have
Nissan's Intelligent Cruise Control
so it'll keep you a safe distance from the car in front of you
what my eyes gravitate to are these large screens here
so we have one 12.3 inch display here that's
for our infotainment
and then we have another screen here now this comes with a seven inch
display here right on the screen now it's a large screen
but they really only have one screen here
and another small screen
so it's really two smaller displays behind the wheel this one's
going to show like our tachometer
and our other features there's our drive modes tire pressure
monitor so this is actually a really nice display
and then we have our digital speedometer here
which shows our fuel gauge our speedometer our kilometer empty
and our odometer but in the SR
Kicks the package above this you get
a full advanced screen here another 12.3 inch screen
this one is two seven inch displays let's check out the camera
when we're parking here so this
one has the around view monitor that is an advantage
of going up to this Rock Creek so
there's a camera on all four sides of the vehicle great
if you're parking into campsites or parallel
parking it's really easy to park
and then down below that we have a nice large volume knob we
have our digital temperature control our heated seats
and then there is a wireless phone charger
as well right in the center stack
so you can just pop your phone right there and you can see now
it's lit up and charging our push button start we have
an electric parking brake with the auto hold
there's two usbs and then we have our different drive modes
so this one comes with an off-road
mode a standard mode a snow mode a sport mode
and an eco mode which is really what you get in all
the all-wheel drive versions of the Nissan Kicks
the center console i'd like to see a little bigger
center console it isn't as big just to show you this is my phone
and my phone won't even fit in
the center console so i'd like to see a little bigger center console
and more storage in the
Kicks so let's check out the back seat here now
this seat's positioned for how i would be driving
there isn't a lot of room but there
is enough room i guess i would say um there's one cup holder in
each door if there was three of me back here it would
be very tight i'm five nine to give you
some perspective still got some space um what i would like
to see back here maybe another usb port
maybe some more cup holders uh
because if you have three people back here it's going to be
a little tight but overall if you're a family
of four smaller kids this would be great so let's
look at the trunk cars unlocked dead body test
you're fitting two dead bodies in the trunk back
here they're 23.9 cubic feet of cargo capacity you can
also fold the seats down if you have
larger items spare tire in the Rock Creek edition
which is very shocking the 2026
Nissan Kicks did not come with a spare tire
this one comes with a spare tire which i'm very happy
that it does so that's a positive comment what you guys think
of the spare tire but you got lots
space in the trunk it is much bigger than most people assume
by looking at the outside of the car
all right so we got
her in sport mode nissan advertises 8.2 seconds for a 0 to 60
so let's test that right now
in three two one mississippi two mississippi three mississippi
four mississippi five mississippi six mississippi
seven mississippi eight mississippi oh that was
pretty much bang on as advertised uh zero
to a hundred i guess it's a little slow of a takeoff
and you can hear when you step on it that that engine
is working it's a little louder like you
might have heard the growl through my microphone
but it's a very loud when you step on it the car
it has a CVT transmission so it's not really meant
for stomping on the gas pedal and launching. It
should be more of a gradual acceleration
and that's also how you're going to get the best
fuel economy. It is going to be a two liter four cylinder engine
which is going to give you about
140 horsepower and 141 pounds feet of torque.
So it is not a fast car let's put it that way but
you do get incredible fuel economy it's 7.8 liters
per every 100 kilometers that's about 27 mpg
that's combined between the city
and highway now i've driven this car for a handful of months not
this rock creek edition but i've driven the nissan kicks
for a handful of months if you want to see
like my six month review i'll put it
in the description it is a real pleasure to drive and
it's phenomenal on fuel you do feel a little tight in here like i feel
so close to you guys
as i'm filming and recording this because there's
not a lot of interior passenger volume in the
front interior volume is what you're looking
for i would recommend you choose something like
uh the Nissan Rogue my other complaint
is the gas tank is small like you're getting maybe
400 to 500 kilometers per tank in terms of tech
and features this one comes with wireless Apple
CarPlay wireless Android Auto you have Sirius satellite radio
for standard it doesn't come
with Bose for regular audio speakers it sounds
fine coming out of these speakers let's talk
about like the Rock Creek specific things about this drive
and really this has been my beef with
the Rock Creeks this car actually has one specific thing with the drive
which is the hill descent
control what that gives you is basically
if you're going down a steep hill or you're slipping down a
hill and in winter conditions
the car will actually maintain a slower speed so that you
don't accelerate down hills
or speed up as you're coasting down a hill that's really the only
specific drivability feature that you get to this Rock Creek
so if you're looking to compare this to
something like a Jeep Wrangler and take it off-roading
or take it mudding those type of
things it is not that at all
if you go camping you know you're driving through conservation areas or
driving through campsites things like that it's uh
the odd weekend in the summer you put the kayak
on the roof those type of things is what this car
is good for if you are going on trails and things
like that every weekend i would suggest
that this is not the car for you and you need to get
something a bit more off-road worthy i like how it drives
do i like the price i'm dutch i don't
like any price so this car being at 36 000
is quite steep we are going to do a comparison to
the SR Premium Kicks to compare this Rock Creek to the top package
and see which one's worth the
money so stick around for that so let me know what you guys think
of the 2027 Nissan Kicks Rock Creek
will this compete with some of the other off-road vehicles
on the market like the Subarus i want to
