Joey Votto goes "undercover" and hangs with fans in stands at Reds game!! | MLB

Man of the people Joey Votto since getting honored on the field for giving back to the community has just been milling about the ballpark shaking hands smiling taking pictures in a Barry Larkin jersey. What is wrong with that guy. Nothing. Joey what are you doing. He's making friends. That's awesome. I mean that's awesome. First pitch elevated to J.D. Martinez. That is so cool. That's Tyler Stevenson's jersey right there. Is that the one you autograph. Yes I believe it is. I thought I saw the autograph on the number in the back. And I know because it's not an authentic jersey. Oh yeah. And I was given Tyler some stuff for not having a game jersey. And there's the authentication on there. And I think those are members of the Sycamore baseball coaching staff. Kevin Euclid is next door. He's the coach on the Red Sox telecast. You had some time to catch up with him and. That's great Joe Joe. That's great. J.D. V. You never know. Yeah he's a man who is so dedicated. To two. And so driven. Oh nice one hand bobbled and settle upstairs. He's so committed to baseball during the year. And you know now he's rehabbing. And he's using this time. To. Be in the stands and some nights he's been in here with us. Some nights he's spending time with teammates. There's an MVP. A man who I believe will be in the Hall of Fame. Spending time in the stands hanging out. Ground ball out from J.D. Martinez. He always comes off as so. Properly polite. You can feel the. The Canadian upbringing there. But I also loved how he really showed some of his humor with us in here last night. Yes he did. He's a funny dude. He is a funny dude. Tristan Cassis. Pinch hit in the eighth. He grounded out to the pitcher on the only pitch he saw last night. Want to know. So before our cameras first spotted him we didn't know this was happening. He was sitting among people who didn't readily recognize him at first. Nice breaking ball for a strike that could be key for Chase Anderson to land that. And to see their own stunned astonishment is. The murmur started. People are elbowing each other it's Joey bottom ground ball. Farmer. Two down. Your producer Josh Hall. Makes an excellent observation. He might have increased the worth and certainly the story of when that jersey is framed in Tyler Stevenson's man cave. Well Stevie will certainly have a story to tell. He's going to have to explain though how it's not an authentic. Game jersey though. Got a Bingham and Kangaroo court for that one. To an old Rob Rebs Snyder. Who homered in the game yesterday. Redshift on Rebs Snyder. Here's Anderson still working He's hitting the edges of the zone. And he's a little more than 50 percent strike tonight that's about on point with what he's been. He has not yet walked a man he did hit fam with a pinch. Rebs Snyder said last night that. He guessed a bit. On that home run. He and the rest of the Red Sox had high praise for Nicola Dolo's breaking ball. But. He saw a fastball. And he's a former teammate of Austin Romine and thought you know what he's probably going to double up. And he goes down here looking. Anderson nails the edge off speed. Joey Botto. Making friends. Fist pounds smiles selfies.
