In the nines tables, when you're doing nine times whatever number, the answer is going
to be one less than the number you're multiplying by.
Eight in the tens place is one less than nine.
Like if you did nine times five, tens place is ones place, is going to be ten minus that
number also.
Does that make any sense?
Good morning!
It's breakfast time.
It is 7.30.
Our kids leave for school at nine o'clock so I thought I'd whip up some pancakes.
I make breakfast a lot in this house.
I just love breakfast and so I often will make pancakes or French toast or something.
I recently just switched to healthy cereals or at least not like sugar cereals and so
the kids are getting kind of sick of cereal every morning so I'll make pancakes with sugar
syrup instead.
It's baby steps you guys.
How are they?
Good.
Piper helped me make pancakes this morning.
Piper, what kind of pancakes are these?
Swedish pancakes but I didn't get to help that much because I only get to do like two
or three things.
Yeah, I was mostly already done with it.
It's actually really easy.
You did a lot.
You did all four cups of flour.
Yeah, I did I guess.
That's a lot.
And the salt.
That's like a third of the ingredients.
Bo, what grade are you in?
No, kindergarten.
Kindergarten.
That's your grade.
That's a grade?
Yeah.
Can I have more please?
Yeah.
Okay, and we usually have someone practicing piano in here.
You need to turn the lights on.
No, I don't.
Yeah, it's dark.
It's not that dark.
Okay, what's up?
I don't get this stuff.
It just means you're just crossing your right hand over to hit this one note.
So this one's staying right here and then your two finger is going to come over here
and just hit this C.
Who's feeding the dog right now?
Oh, wait.
We'll just give her a second.
She's just getting something out for her lunch.
If I wasn't in, no one's getting anything.
I'm the Millennium Falcon.
One of Bo's jobs this week is to feed the dog in the morning.
Here's our job chart.
We call them zones.
It switches every week.
On Monday, we switch the zones.
So this week, Bo is TV room where you clear the toys, fix the couch pillows, put the blankets
away, and feed the dog.
This is a good one.
Yep, that's good.
Okay.
Hey Bo, what are you going to have for your lunch today?
School lunch.
You want one of these for a snack?
I don't know.
Well, either one.
Snack or lunch.
Both.
You could get school lunch, Bo, but that's going to be $4.
No.
Here's my lunchbox cheat sheet I made this year to help us all remember what kinds of
things we need in our lunches.
It's actually been really helpful for the kids because they can read this year and also
for me when I am getting my grocery list all together and I'm like, eh, what do the kids
need?
What do the kids need for their lunches?
I can look at my list and I can be like, oh yeah, we're out of bagels or oh yeah, we're
out of carrots or whatever.
They're right.
Like, they eat carrots.
Okay, the pancakes are officially done.
I keep checking my phone to see if the baby's awake.
Oh, he is.
Hello.
Good morning, sunshine.
Thank you.
Hi.
How are you?
Want some pancakes?
Carson is such a happy boy.
He is just a happy boy, huh?
Most of the time.
Here's a baby.
I said you could wear shorts if you have P.E.
No, you didn't.
This year we're making Porter wear not comfy basketball shorts every day, but I did say
he could wear them if it was P.E. day.
No.
It's not P.E. day today, is it?
No, it is.
Once a week?
Yeah, just once a week.
And here's Piper practicing her piano like the good, good girl.
Oh, is everyone already open?
Look at this beautiful sunlight coming through my window.
Let's give this sunlight a moment.
Play rough, be tough.
That's what I always say.
Rule number one with after you make pancakes, you have to put them away or Scotty will get
up here and eat all of them.
This has only happened probably ten times.
She loves pancakes as much as all of us.
So you gotta put away.
I made a bunch of pancakes.
Maybe too many.
But they're nice to have leftover.
I like snacking on them.
Here, Scotty.
I'll give you your leftovers.
Boop.
Yep, those are yours.
Whoops.
We've got like a little sock basket that will usually have people's socks in them.
That goes in here and then everyone's got their own shoe cubby in this dark corner of
the house.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Okay, okay, let's load it up.
In the car, everybody in the car.
So you big kids go outside and take Brady.
And me.
We share a carpool with our neighbor across the street and today is my day.
And it's always crazy getting everyone out the door, including the little ones.
Uh oh, where are the keys?
Where would the keys even be?
Guys, in the car now.
No, no, no, Scotty, you gotta stay here.
I'll be right back.
Stay here.
There's Liberty.
Good morning, Liberty.
How are you?
Good.
Yeah, you have a good morning?
Yeah.
Do you want to be in my YouTube video?
Yeah.
Say hi, world.
Hello, world.
Bye, Bo.
Love you.
Bye.
Have a good day.
Brady, say bye, Bo.
Bye, Bo.
Be careful, Bo.
Be careful.
Bye.
Bye, Bo.
What are we going to do now?
The big kids are at school.
What do you think we should do today?
So that is our morning routine.
Needless to say, it's a bit chaotic in the morning.
And this morning really wasn't even that bad.
Everyone was really good this morning.
So I love the mornings.
It's one of my favorite times of the day when everyone wakes up fresh and usually happy
and we just get to be together and eat breakfast.
My favorite part of the mornings is when the boys are wrestling like crazy and everyone's
screaming.
And then amidst all that, someone's always practicing the piano, which is awesome.
I love that.
Once everyone is fed and out the door, then it's time for me to actually get ready and
take care of myself, feed myself, and figure out what we're doing for the day.
I hope you guys like this kind of impromptu morning routine video.
I thought it was really fun to show you guys kind of what our mornings look like.
My house is by no means like tidy.
Mommy, we're camping house now.
Camping house?
Yeah.
We did that yesterday.
Why don't we go to Costco and get a treat?
And now I get to hang out with my two little boys who I love so much.
Say thanks for watching.
Thanks so much for watching, guys.
Hope you have a wonderful rest of your day.
We'll see you next time.
Bye.
Whoa.
I'm going to go.
Go where?
I'm going to go.
Go where?
I'm going to go.
You're going to go?
Yeah.
