So, we're in L.A.
And I know what you're thinking, why aren't we moving into our house?
But we were invited to L.A. for a really interesting opportunity.
So we figured why not bring the kids along and show them some things that they have never seen before.
Like Hollywood and the Walk of Fame.
Daddy's 10-year-old Neil Patrick Harris.
Who?
Judy Houser.
I don't know who that is.
And the Oscar goes to Good Simple Living.
Livia Souza.
Most dramatic.
You know, Mom, I really need a new bikini.
What's up, Spidey?
Do you want a photo?
Good, man.
I'm pretty sure that wasn't Spider-Man.
Godzilla.
Is that your favorite star?
We're gonna go see if we can identify any handprints.
Got Will Smith.
That's a hand.
Chris Rock.
Smack her around the world.
Happy Saturday.
I've found what I belong.
What is this place?
I just hope he brought your credit card.
This is Nevaeh and Kira's dream.
They love all things Japanese.
You guys having fun?
Are we ready to go yet?
Jeremy, come on.
You've got a friend.
What'd you get?
What'd you talk Dad into?
She's like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman.
Same, same.
Thank you, Daddy.
Ladies, light the candles.
So, Nevaeh, what do you think about Hollywood?
We're not in Idaho anymore.
It's bigger than Bonner's Parry.
Very different, huh?
Yeah.
Different.
A lot of people.
A lot of weird things to see.
Yeah, a lot of shopping.
I like the shopping.
Do you find it appealing overall?
For a week.
That's the correct answer.
Kamani, what do you think about Southern California or Hollywood?
It's crazy.
There's so many buildings.
There's a lot happening, huh?
Yeah.
Do you like it?
I like Idaho better.
You like Idaho better?
Yeah.
Again, that is the correct answer.
So since arriving here and walking this trip, we've seen open drug use.
Yes.
Arguments and fights in the street.
Yep.
What else?
A lot of transients.
It's just very busy and it's very different from what it is that we're accustomed to
and makes me a little uneasy, if I'm being totally honest,
bringing our family down here, having the kids roam around.
Yeah.
There's a lot going on and not a lot of it's very good.
Yeah, yeah.
It's definitely interesting, but we're ready to get out of here.
Can I go back to Idaho?
Okay, we will.
Well, we have made it back to our parking garage, which is a good thing.
I don't think we'll be coming back to Hollywood.
Well, why?
It's lovely.
You're scared.
Found some sushi.
We'll have some lunch.
So sushi lunch was probably my favorite thing since getting tally.
It is so good to have good food.
Again, we love Idaho.
We love it, but it is burgers and fries out there.
It's a really, really almost impossible to find sushi.
Everyone have fun?
Yeah.
Everyone full?
Yeah, I got baby in my stomach now.
I don't know if you noticed.
So we had a very full and busy day.
We have a whole list of things that we want to go do and see,
but the kids are still exhausted.
Oh my gosh, there is that Spider-Man again.
There he is.
Oh my gosh, that guy really gets around.
So we had a really busy day today.
We saw a lot and it was interesting.
We have an entire list of things that we want to go do and see,
but the kids are absolutely exhausted from traveling yesterday.
So we're just going to go back to the hotel, play in the pool a little bit,
relax, let them rest, and then we're going to have some more fun tomorrow.
Hey guys, day two.
Let's get up.
Let's get going.
Get dressed.
Mom and I are doing the same.
Come on.
Anyone who knows us knows that we're total t-shirt people.
We aren't fancy at all, but even sometimes we need to try to look nice.
Fortunately, there's Cuts.
Cuts has completely knocked that whole work leisure thing out of the park.
Whether it's an important Zoom meeting, a day at the office, a date night,
or maybe you're visiting a town where people actually know how to dress,
we can still look stylish and put together without giving up our love for comfort.
Maybe the best thing is Cuts are made to last,
unlike your typical poor quality t-shirt,
which can look terrible after two or three washes.
The pica fabric is insanely soft, holds its shape, and doesn't pill.
Cuts has something for absolutely everyone with their awesome variety of colors,
bottom cuts, and collar styles.
So whether you prefer V-neck, Henley, or Crew,
they are expertly tailored to fit where it matters.
I personally love the frame tee.
With its versatile shape and straight hem,
it's kind of my go-to when I know I need to be looking a little more decent.
I also love that Cuts doesn't plaster a loud logo or branding all over their shirts,
just a subtle tasteful X on the seam.
And I love the tomboy tee.
Not only is it comfy around the house,
but I can throw on a pair of jeans or a cute maxi and actually go out in it.
It's my first wear around the house t-shirt that I've ever gotten a compliment on.
The best part is Cuts doesn't only make tees,
they also make awesome lightweight four-way stretch hoodies.
And joggers that you can proudly wear out of the house,
plus some other long-sleeve options that we are definitely getting for fall.
There's something for every style and occasion,
plus the quality and comfort is unbeatable.

Now, let's go.
Let's do it.
It's day two.
We still have a lot that we want to go see and do,
but first things first, breakfast.
It's one of the biggest plates I've ever seen.
Where do you even buy something like this?
It's different from our little classroom.
Yeah, seriously.
So we have only been here two and a half days,
and one of the things that I miss the most about Washington is Trader Joe's.
There is one on literally every single street corner here.
We don't even have one by us.
Not even one.
So I'm going to shop here every single day.
You want to go in there and buy all the makeup?
That is banana yellow Rolls Royce.
So this is where Nevaeh wanted to go.
Rodeo Drive.
We're not going to buy anything here,
but we're going to look.
We're going to window shop.
We're going to look and pretend we could buy anything here.
Go out to like Water the Horses and Chanel.
I don't know what Chanel is.
I've never seen anything from Chanel in my entire life.
It's Channel.
I'm pretty sure it's Channel.
That's going to be super embarrassing here.
These prices.
I don't think folks around here are aware
you can get three pairs of Lee jeans down at the JCPenney's.
I'm just putting it out there.
Putting it out there.
Put it out there quieter.
A yellow interior.
It has an alligator armrest.
That seems unnecessary.
They make the best breads.
I don't think that's the bread place.
It's Austin Powers.
Who wears this?
Is he flying an open cockpit airplane?
Yeah, a Gucci one.
Hey, get out of there before you touch something.
I got to pay for it.
You want to go to college or you want to buy a handbag?
Not really my style.
All right, college it is.
What are those?
Shame on you, Versace.
Shame on you.
Why does it have Drew Barrymore on the tongue?
Ronald McDonald called.
He wants his pants and shoes back.
Let me get you those purple pants and shoes.
Come on.
Oh, that was a lot of fun.
That was maybe the most fun I've had since we've gotten here.
Good times.
This place is different.
Yeah, we actually had to leave when Jeremy started shouting that Joanna Gaines was here
and pointing at me and everyone started looking.
I had a few people convinced.
Hilarious.
So we left.
I gave it to him.
That was awesome.
Our Honda Odyssey doesn't do that.
We're in Santa Monica.
We're going to hang out here for a bit.
I figured there's a lot of stuff to see and do.
We have all the carnival rides out on the pier there.
We'll probably take the kids out.
Show them a good time.
It's nice to see the ocean again.
I want to go on a ride.
You want to go on a ride?
Let's go on a ride.
Although we didn't come to LA just to go sightseeing,
I am so glad that we showed up a few days early to do so.
This big city is a far cry from what we cherish and call home.
But it's so important to experience all the different things that are out there.
They have grown up appreciating some of the most simple things in life.
But we want them to experience more.
Not because they need to choose more,
but because we want them to be armed with the knowledge that it's out there.
What?
They found a baby crab.
A baby crab?
What else you got?
You guys have been hunting on the beach for a while.
Yeah.
You got a bunch of shells?
Yeah.
Pretty cool.
It is far more important to us that they are each able to live a life that they believe in
and that they make their choices with conviction.
We only have a few short years together as a family.
And as difficult as that is to think about,
we are prioritizing making memories
and saying yes to new opportunities.
Because in no time at all,
they will choose for themselves.
And our family time together is going to look much, much different.
