46 Video Views·Oct 19, 2022
This is the most watched game of football ever.
185 countries all dipping into El Gran Classico.
Two teams who are separated historically,
but in La Liga separated yet again in another late dramatic goal from Real Madrid.
This is where the extra man is paying off for Barcelona.
One final roll of the dice.
Can they hit the jackpot?
Gomez, Jordi Alba, Lionel Messi!
Oh, my goodness!
Lionel Messi does it again! He's superhuman!
Lionel Messi has just exploded La Liga into life.
Another chapter in the incredible story of this little man.
Oh, my goodness. You cannot write the script for this, Rob.
This is unbelievable stuff.
Look at the faces of Real Madrid fans and Real Madrid players.
Unbelievable.
It's blown the league wide open.
His 500th goal for Barcelona is possibly the most significant one.
How much has that shirt worth?
He's got a good boot, but he don't care.
He's got a good boot.
He doesn't care what they do to him tonight.
Extract his teeth. He has scored the goal.
What a run from Sergio.
Where is he? Where is he?
Barcelona hit, ringing around the Camp Nou.
There is no such thing as a pre-season friendly anymore.
Look at the MSM.
The chosen one tonight is Gerard Delefeu who returns to...
He's in the hot seat and Zidane has just signed a new three-year extension to his state.
He's looking to add yet another trophy to his cabinet.
...starting from now.
And away we go.
...against Barcelona, even drew against the MLS All-Stars.
But tonight they're hoping to peak.
And it's Kovacic who's got the midfield position.
He's playing in place.
...at this point.
There's talk of him being leaned actively in the team ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Of course, Ronaldo is not fully fit.
But Ronaldo, for the first time in his career...
That's a great ball over the top.
Nice take by Suarez!
And he warms the hands of Caelan Alas.
...the two players to regard him as offside.
Here is Gareth Bale and Titi.
Cooley gets himself and Barcelona out of a tight situation.
A bit of a folk hero in these parts.
Goes on the outside.
Whisked away by Kovacic.
Drosses with him.
Isco with the dancing feet!
And went for the deceit.
Isco again with the...
Still no traction so far.
Has been Isco.
The referee has his first big decision to make of the evening.
Messi lies down there in pain.
Barcelona quite a while to impose themselves on the match.
And another raw challenge on Messi.
This time from Gareth Bale.
Which looks good kill.
He's getting involved in the game more.
He goes for it.
He almost gets it.
You could see Navas...
...half expecting something like that.
The Real defence.
It appeared to be a handball from Pique.
If it was deliberate, the referee...
...will caution him.
It's a very soft...
Casemiro!
Looking for the element of surprise.
But no catching out.
Marc-Andre Ter Stegen.
Iniesta.
Jordi Alba.
Tight.
Messi's there.
Brave.
Decisive save from Navas.
Rakitic.
Suarez.
Little confusion in the Real Madrid defence.
This is Barcelona livening things up now.
Play from Suarez.
Stands off and gives Isco space.
What a great save from Ter Stegen.
Pure reflex after...
...Gareth Bale whistled in.
It's a snapshot from Gareth Bale.
Isco causing all sorts of problems.
Now backing into his own penalty area.
Not giving too much help from any of his teammates.
Boston Bale came...
...around on cue.
The referee draws...
...the first half to a close.
Pretty much as we expected.
...department.
Iniesta.
Now Lionel Messi.
Holds off one.
Holds off two.
Still got past Casemiro.
And pleads with the referee.
It's not an angry Lionel Messi.
Sharpest mind down there is...
...Isco.
Now Marcelo.
Pique!
Never out of...
...but it's a negative headline for Gérard.
Something he never wanted to do.
And that is score for Real Madrid.
It's good decisive attack in play from Real Madrid.
Both teams have had success.
We're getting players into...
...positions...
...around the byline.
It's no surprise to see Marcelo...
...getting into that position.
Nice pass from Isco.
Bale points to where he'd like it.
He's ahead of the action.
It comes off Pique again.
Heart in mouth moment for Gérard Pique.
Carvajal.
Steps over it.
Chance for De la Feuille.
And it was one footstep...
...away...
...from Lionel Messi.
Draws Pique.
Puts it across.
Carvajal!
How did that not go in?
A remarkable clearance.
As Barcelona were so stretched.
All the people leading the charge.
Barcelona making their change as well.
It's Karim Benzema.
He's frequently...
...taken out of the firing line.
He's going to rest his legs and...
...Ronaldo will go into the centre forwards...
...position.
A warm welcome for Cristiano.
Suárez!
A necessary touch...
...from Keylor Navas.
Ronaldo.
Fear in the hearts of Barcelona.
Emergency action taken by Gérard Pique.
Barcelona quiet.
This is Suárez.
Almost replicated...
...the own goal at the other end of the field.
I thought it was in.
I was about to say...
...the only good sentence to supporters.
Gareth Bale's cross!
He knew exactly what picture he wanted to see...
...on the front pages of the sports dailies tomorrow.
Cristiano Ronaldo.
It would have been typical, wouldn't it?
Cristiano Ronaldo.
Brilliant ball.
The star's legs are tiring.
Here's Cristiano Ronaldo.
He's offside.
Hold the celebrations, Cristiano.
Rolling replays.
This is Suárez.
Denis Suárez.
And you can see...
...his namesake...
...Lewick...
...is not too happy.
Suárez stands his ground.
He's got a chance!
Oh, Busquets!
The goal was open.
And he's wishing...
...not seen by the referee.
Messi!
Brilliant save!
Brilliant second save!
Messi tries to go through the legs.
Luis Suárez is there.
And...
...the referee has a big decision to make...
...as there's a collision between...
...Keylor Neves...
...and Suárez.
And the delegation of Real Madrid...
...is falling on the deaf ears of...
...Senor Bengoche.
Messi.
In the Clásico.
Extends his record of scoring...
...in this magical fixture.
Messi...
...on the spot.
Real Madrid trying to chase Messi.
Teases the ball through.
Suárez!
And Denis Suárez...
...was one stride away from putting...
...Barcelona...
...a little step over.
Rakitic joins in.
Brilliant tackle from...
...Danny Canberra.
Here's Hisco.
As Cristiano Ronaldo...
...still got the legs.
Yes, look at him fly.
Moves inside.
Ronaldo!
Cristiano Ronaldo!
He's in good shape.
That's typical.
Absolutely brilliant.
Turning defence...
...into attack.
Real Madrid...
...in the blink of an eye.
And you wonder whether...
...Ronaldo still had the pace...
...to get away...
...from Gerald Pique.
He did.
And he's just waiting.
You know exactly...
...what he's going to do.
Takes the touch.
Here we see Barcelona in the attack.
This is a game that needs no hype.
It's Cristiano Ronaldo.
He goes nose-to-tough.
He's got a penalty.
Oh no!
He thought he had a penalty.
Behind you Cristiano.
He was booked for taking his shirt off.
And now he's being booked...
...in the eyes of the referee...
...for taking a dive.
And then we do see...
...a quite significant push...
...by Ronaldo and the referee.
It's been action-packed, isn't it?
Suarez...
...one-two with Messi.
What a game of football this is.
El Clasico...
...quality.
They had a pulse in the first half...
...but in the second half...
...it's really kicked on.
...by...
...Vázquez.
Vázquez has support from Asensio...
...but not quite the...
...dynamic run of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Oh, but he gets the finish of Ronaldo!
Well, last season...
...a star was born...
...in Asensio.
And this young man...
...is something special.
El Clasico goal...
...for Marco Asensio.
Only 21 years of age.
Take a note of that name...
...you're going to hear a lot of it...
...in the next decade or so.
...victory complete...
...on the night...
...for Real Madrid.
But it all goes back to...
...Bernabéu on Wednesday.
A losing start for...
...Valverde.
The first Barcelona coach...
...to win a game since.
