I might throw up.
Your stomach? Okay.
Hey guys, that dreaded call happened today.
I got a call from Hallie's school.
Focus, focus.
Libby's watching Hocus Pocus.
I'm just about to get in the shower
and the health office called
and Hallie has a fever.
They said I need to come pick her up.
So we are headed out right now to grab Hallie
from school. Hopefully it's just a fever
and she just needs some extra sleep.
So let's go see what's up.
And Hallie's sick.
Yeah, she's sick.
So we're gonna go see how she's feeling
and go from there.
Hallie.
What's wrong now? Fever.
How come you always get sick?
What were you feeling?
My head. I felt it.
My teacher felt me to the nurse
and I had a fever.
Do you have any other things
that hurt? Only my stomach
a little bit. Your stomach?
Uh oh. What do you think
about that, Lib?
Is Hallie sick? Yep.
Is she gonna puke? No.
I hope not.
Okay. Well, let's go home.
Take your temperature again. Get you some medicine
and hope you feel better.
I hope you're better by tomorrow
because tomorrow's the Halloween trunk or treat party.
So we gotta get you better.
Stella
is gonna go take a nap
and Libby's just watching Hocus Pocus.
Okay? I want you to wash your hands
really, really good. We'll give you some medicine.
Okay? You can just watch a movie
or do you wanna go take a nap?
You don't wanna go take a nap?
What's going on with your eyes?
I hope I don't have pink
eyes again. You don't.
But you look a little bit red.
Have you been rubbing them?
Alright. Let's take your temperature.
See how you feel.
100.5. Is that what it was at school?
Yeah. You do feel warm.
Do you feel cold or hot?
Both. My head feels hot
but my body feels so cold.
So cold. Do you wanna go take a warm
bath? With bubbles?
Yeah. Why don't we take a bath?
Yeah. Get all the germs
from school off.
Warm one with bath bombs.
They still have bath bombs.
Okay, Halle. Here's some ibuprofen.
Drink that up.
Just drink it fast.
It should taste like berries
or something.
Quick, quick, quick. Drink it all.
It'll help you feel better.
There's still a little bit left.
Can you get that little part left?
Does it not taste good?
Ibuprofen berry flavored.
Okay, get that last little drop.
You can do it.
Can I go? Good job.
Okay. Should we go take a
warm bath with bubbles and a bath bomb
and then you can get pajamas and
blanket and you can watch the iPad in your room
if you want?
Why?
Okay, what do you want
to do? Can I get
my pajamas on and then watch Hocus
Pocus?
Don't you want to get all warm
in a bath because you said you were cold?
Okay.
What are you watching, Liv?
Hocus Pocus. What are you watching?
Hocus Pocus.
How are you feeling? Good.
You feeling sick at all?
No. Good. Let's keep it that
way, okay?
I was like
sick last year.
But you're not sick anymore, right?
I know.
Stella actually had a fever a few days ago.
We thought it was from teething because
her gums have been a little bit swollen
and she's getting two new teeth
because she didn't have any other symptoms.
So I'm not sure if
Stella gave it to Halle or
if Halle just caught something at
school. So we're just going to watch her. We're going to let her
chill. Watch a show
on the couch and then
hopefully I can get her to just take a
bath and maybe take a little nap a little bit later
today. So we'll see.
Does that feel better?
Getting some warm PJs? Got your blanket?
Yeah. Okay.
Just try to stay
away from Libby in case you do have any germs.
We don't want to pass them on, okay?
Do you need anything else?
Okay. If you get tired, just go
up to your bed, okay?
Got a blanket? Do you need socks
or slippers or anything?
Okay.
Did you finish the movie?
You want to go take a little rest?
Yes. You can take
the iPad into your bed and then if you get tired
just turn off the iPad, okay?
Let's go put you in bed so that
no one bothers you.
You want to turn off the lights?
So Stella is awake from her nap
and Halle's feeling a little bit better.
I don't think she has a fever anymore.
So she's just reading
books to the girls.
Sarah
really likes to read.
And where is
is she? Well, it's me. I'm back
from work. Chelsea just left
to go get some, I don't know
where she went. But I'm here
and I'm told that Halle had to
come home early from school.
She's still not feeling good
at all.
And it seems like since I got home
20 minutes ago, she's kind of
made a turn for the worse.
What are you feeling like, Halle?
Your stomach? Okay, let's
go to the toilet
or trash can, whatever you need to do.
I can make you some soup.
You just don't feel like eating anything?
Alright, well I'll
leave you to it, okay?
If you need to do it, if you need to throw up
just do it, okay? I'll be right here.
Hey Stella,
what you doing?
You don't know?
You're a little mischievous,
are you? Trying to open this drawer?
Stella's not feeling the
best either. She's actually been sick as well.
She had a fever
the last few days.
Hasn't been feeling the best so
I don't know if Halle caught it from her.
There really aren't any symptoms
that Stella has
except for a little rash that she's developed.
It's been spreading down
her thighs a little bit.
There's some bumps
even on her foot and her calf.
I'll have to show you.
But Halle, she just
has a fever. I just checked and it's
102.5. We're hoping
she feels better soon. This is the first
day she's been sick. Generally these
things last a few days and tomorrow
is our trunk retreat.
The people we go to church with
they hold a trunk retreat
and we're looking forward to that.
Halle can dress up in her costume
and cross her fingers that she can go.
What you doing Libby?
Drawing circles.
Circles? Yeah.
Oh wow. Cool.
Following the instructions on the iPad?
Yeah.
That's awesome.
Good job.
Are you feeling okay? Yeah.
Halle's just been sick
at school.
Oh, there's Halle.
Yeah, come on Halle. Is Stella bothering you?
Come on, come on Stella.
Let's go.
Alright, let's go.
What's up Halle?
But it's not working.
Okay, well we don't need to force it, okay?
If you're not going to do it,
you can rest
in your bed or on the couch.
Or no? No? Okay.
Well you tell me what you want to do.
Where do you want to rest?
My bed?
No.
Okay, well you don't have to
hang out in the bathroom.
You can bring a trash can if you want.
With you, all around you go, where you go.
Well, what do you want to do?
Do you want to rest in your bed?
No.
I felt better, but then it came back.
And it hurts more.
Do you want to have some more medicine?
No, it tasted awful.
I'll give you a different one.
What one?
It's the Tylenol.
It might be bubble gum flavor.
Oh, I don't like that one.
Okay, but you're going to have to have it sometime
because you need it for your fever, okay?
Well, maybe you'll feel better tomorrow.
Do you want to eat?
Oh, hi.
On a happier note,
Ty has had some fun the last couple days
making a little haunted house in our house.
Right?
Why don't you show them what it's like?
It's pretty cool.
I never got scared.
I scared the girls once.
So, the haunted house is
inside here.
I'm going to go show you
and then I'm going to try to scare Libby.
There's a dead person.
So, how it's going to work
is
in the dark, when I scare Libby,
she'll see this first.
It'll look like a creepy doll in the dark.
Then she'll walk
over this dead person
and then see this
pumpkin and then see
the bed. Then she's going to keep
walking. She's going to see the gun.
Then she's going to turn around
and right here, she'll think it's a jail cell.
So, I'm going to pop up
and scare her. Then I'm going to pick up
this pumpkin. It'll look like it's alive.
And then I'm going to
chase her all the way to there
and the lights will flicker.
Okay, Libby.
Are you ready for the
haunted house?
Are you ready?
Are you ready, Libby?
Okay, let's go.
Okay, Libby.
The rules are you have to
walk slowly, close
the door on your way in
and you have
to be quiet, okay?
You have to walk in a circle.
Okay? Count to 20.
Ready?
Run for your life!
Hey, Libby.
Are you scared? Were you scared?
Yeah, I was scared
a little bit at the noisemaker
with thunder. Yep.
Ty has quite the imagination.
Something I never have or had
or will ever have, I don't think.
You want some?
Come on.
Come on, Stella.
Here you go. Are you done?
I guess she's done.
Thumbs up. Peace.
Ka-bunga, dude.
Well, we've got
Ty some dinner. What you got there?
Ramen soup.
Ramen noodles.
Love it. Chicken flavor is always the best.
And Libby, what you eating?
Dinosaurs.
Dinosaurs?
Yeah. Chicken nuggets.
And
Hallie.
Still got a trash can next to her. Hallie, are you
going to eat?
Do you want to rest in bed or something?
We got some
applesauce with banana in it
if you want it.
And some toast.
You got to eat something
though, soon.
And I was like
before.
A long time ago, Libby.
And I get in the trash.
Whoa.
102.4.
Yikes.
I'm okay. Yep, you're okay.
Hopefully everyone stays that way.
Maybe we should get away from Hallie.
Just a little bit.
Alright, we got some medicine.
This is the Tylenol. It's great flavor.
It's for your fever. Okay?
And pain relief.
No more?
Alright, I'm back home and I brought
ginger ale and saltine crackers.
Looks like Hallie's worse than when I left.
Nauseous. Has she puked yet?
Not yet.
This will cure all. Ginger ale.
Do you know what else cures all?
It's sleep. So I need you to eat
something and go to sleep.
The flu is going around. I have a couple
friends' kids who have it.
I got one of the last five boxes
of saltines.
Alright, Hallie. Try to eat something.
I'm gonna change her diaper.
I just wanted to show that rash that
she has on her legs.
Kind of a close up. You won't be able to see much.
But...
Trying to find a bump here.
We have a bump right...
There's a couple bumps right there.
There's a little indent in the middle of the bump.
Looks like something called
molluscum contagiosum.
Right, Stella?
And basically there's nothing you can do
about it.
So you gotta run its course. Sometimes it lasts for months.
Livvy had it
and she had it for like eight or nine
months, I swear. And it's just
easily spread.
She's off to bed. I'm just gonna put some cream on that rash.
That medicine kick in.
That ginger ale.
Alright.
100.3.
Only a little bit.
Okay, so you need a lot of rest.
You'll stay home from school tomorrow
because you can't have a fever for 24 hours.
You'll take a nap.
If you don't have a fever all day tomorrow,
you can go to the trunk retreat tomorrow night.
Okay? If you need a puke,
what do you do?
I'm gonna put it in the trash room.
So I'm just gonna
puke in my room
in the trash can.
Yeah, we put trash cans by the beds
when kids are sick. That way
it doesn't go on the floor and then you can go
into the toilet if you end up puking.
Last time it went on the carpet.
Yeah, let's not do that.
You're gonna be just fine tomorrow.
I can feel it. Can you feel it?
I can't go to school.
Nope. But the power of positive
thinking.
Say you're not gonna
be sick and you won't be sick.
I'm not gonna be sick. I hope I'm not sick
and I won't be sick. Okay, do you feel cold or hot?
Um, my head
is a little hot.
Stomach kind of hurts.
I'm fine.
Her eyes were really watery when I got home.
And she actually looked really bad.
And she was hot and cold at the
same time. You look good now.
So I can go trunk retreat.
I really hope so because you're our main
attraction. We're doing a family
theme and Hallie's the main
the main thing. But you gotta come back tomorrow
to see what it is.
You got your trash
can in case you puke.
You got your water in case you're thirsty.
And you got your sleep
and your blankets. Good night girls.
Libby, Hallie's
sick so you need to be very quiet and go
to sleep. And in the morning, if she's still
sleeping, just quietly come out. Okay?
Okay.
Good night.
Alright guys, girls are in bed.
Let's just cross our fingers that no one
pukes in the middle of the night. That no one else gets sick.
Tomorrow we do have our
Halloween trunk retreat with our church.
We look forward to it every year. So I
really hope she feels
better. If she doesn't have a fever tomorrow at all, she'll be
able to go. So until then.
I think she'll be feeling better. I do too.
She was feeling more like herself
tonight right before she went to bed.
I did just pump her with medicine though.
Could be that.
Yeah. Let's just hope she gets a good night's
sleep and I think she'll be just fine.
It's 1240
AM and
Hallie just puked.
She did make it
in the trash can all the puke.
She had a trash can by her bed.
And we're hoping
she got most of it out. So
we'll go see how she's doing.
Are you okay?
Do you want some
ginger ale?
Does your stomach hurt?
Are you going to puke again?
Do you want to take a shower real
quick? You sure?
You feel good enough
to stand up?
I'll just take it easy when you're ready.
Do you feel better?
You do?
Now that you puked?
Are you ready to go back to bed?
My bedroom door opened and I just
knew it. I knew that she puked.
She said she feels better
now that she puked though.
And so I'm going to give her
a little bit of ginger ale
in this cup to sip slowly.
And then hopefully she can go
back to sleep.
We got the trash can. We emptied the puke.
Go put it by your bed.
Hopefully I'll just update
you in the morning.
How are you feeling? Fine.
Yeah?
I puked two times last night.
Yeah, Marcos got up
with her an hour later.
She puked again. He didn't grab
the camera which is totally fine.
But she puked a little bit more. You don't
feel warm so that's good.
Do you feel good? Does your stomach
still hurt? Just a little bit.
A little bit? Let's take a nice warm
shower and then we'll get you some
more ginger ale, okay?
We need to lay low today.
We need to
stay away from your sisters so you don't pass
anything on and you need to
take a nap
and get some good rest.
I'll wash your sheets
and we'll get you all fresh
and clean, okay? I'm really impressed
that Halle got all the puke in
trash cans and then we just threw away the bags.
I am
just going to change all of these sheets,
Lysol some of the doorknobs,
and some things in her room
just to be on the safe side
and then start all fresh and clean.
Got my Unstoppables
which I absolutely love.
So I already took
Ty to school but I'm pretty sure
he's the sweetest brother ever.
He left this for Halle.
Banana, ginger ale,
some bread, applesauce,
and this cute little note.
Dear Halle, I know you
cannot have cereal
so I gave you a banana, fruit pack,
and a piece of bread.
I hope you feel better. Love, Ty.
P.S.
Take a piece of bread and drink your
ginger ale. That was really
thoughtful and sweet.
Feeling better after that shower?
Let's see if you have a fever.
You're just a little bit
warm. I don't have a fever.
You don't have a fever?
I do.
You feel good. You need to stay healthy
and not get sick, okay?
Did you hear Halle puke last night?
Yeah. You did?
Did it wake you up?
Or did you just sleep through it?
I was just sleeping with
She was just sleeping. I don't think she heard you.
Thank goodness.
Just eat slowly.
Little bites, okay?
99.2
No fever.
Let's keep it that way, right?
Okay, so take it easy.
Lots of rest. Small little
bites.
Just took Livvy to school and Halle's
just chilling on the couch watching
Hocus Pocus again.
How you feeling?
I like that.
Guys, I seriously have the best friends.
Christina from Long Story Short
my really good friend brought Halle
two drinks so that she
can get some energy and
not just drink ginger ale because her stomach's
not really hurting anymore, right?
I just want to eat and drink but
she can't, so.
My other friend was going to Costco and I literally
just needed two things and she's like,
can I get you anything at Costco?
So I got these for the kids.
They love these and I just needed some
AA batteries so Halle's
going to pick a drink to have right
now. It's kind of her lunch. Do you want some
saltine crackers or
applesauce? Can I have this?
You want this one? Yeah.
You can have that one. How is it?
It's fine just it has carrot in it.
Yeah, it's called
Body Armor. She said it has
hydration,
electrolytes, coconut water,
vitamins, natural flavors, and natural
sweeteners. So it has less sugar and it gives
you all the things you need to get better.
Want me to put some in a cup for you?
Okay, it's almost two o'clock
and Halle seems to be as good as
new. Still no fever.
She's eating a little popsicle. She's had
some saltine crackers, some juices.
Huh? Feeling good?
Okay, if we can get through
the next few hours, I think you can
go to the trunk or treat.
I have ice cream.
You got ice cream?
Yeah, I really like ice cream.
You really like it?
Stella's feeling a little bit better
today as well. Still got those rashes
on her legs.
Well, I mean just these little like
red bumps.
Hold still. Hold still.
Like right there.
Those are kind of all over her
legs but I think
they're getting better. Alright you guys
it is about five o'clock.
Have you puked?
Nope. Do you have a fever?
No.
Do you feel perfectly back to Halle
normal self? Kind of.
What doesn't feel good?
Um, just I
haven't drank a lot of water.
She's been able to drink, eat just a few
things. But I haven't been
able to drink water. Yeah.
Anyway, we are gonna
get ready for the trunk or treat. You're gonna have to come
back to tomorrow's vlog to check that
out. See everyone in their costumes.
We're gonna keep Halle away from everyone but we're
gonna let her get in her costume
along with the rest of the family and go.
So, thanks so much for watching.
Hope you subscribe
and ring
that bell and give us a thumbs
up. Give us a thumbs up
and we will see you next time. You won't want
to miss our next vlog. It's a
reveal of our family themed
Halloween costumes and
remember what I used to say?
Give us a thumbs up.
Yep. So come back next time.
We'll see you then. Thanks for
watching. Bye.
