STRAIGHT PIPED the Ford Fusion and it sounds AWFUL!

Yeah, that's a Ford Fusion for you. Completely quiet. For those of you who follow my channel, you know everything about this car already. But if you're new to the channel and this is the first video you're watching, I'll give you a quick rundown. This is my 2015 Ford Fusion Titanium. At the time that I got this car, the top-of-the-line engine alternative is the two-liter, four-cylinder EcoBoost engine. It's 240 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque, and that is what my car has. It is also a lease that will be returned here in less than a month, and this car is bone stock. I've never done anything to this car. I mean, cattle has nothing on this car. That's how stock it is. So with it being turbocharged, of course that muffles the sound in itself. Now, it is a four-cylinder also with a bunch of boring mufflers and cats and stuff, which makes it completely quiet. And from what I've seen, there are pretty much no videos of straight piped Ford Fusions with this EcoBoost engine. Maybe there are, but I haven't seen them. So that is why in today's video, I'm going to do my first mod to this car less than a month before it's returned on a lease. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, we are straight piping the Ford Fusion. I'm laughing because it's kind of... I don't know what I'm doing, but it's going to be a lot of fun. I can't wait to see what it sounds like. It's very windy outside today, so I jumped back in the car. But long story short, we're going to meet up with a buddy of mine. His name is Brian. He has a YouTube channel as well. And then we're going to straight pipe the Ford Fusion. Okay, so I'm here with my buddy Brian. He works at Muntasha Ford. So we're old work buddies. Now, he has a YouTube channel that he just started, just starting out. What do you do on the channel? I mean, it's pretty much everything like car reviews and DIYs and installs. Some repairs, some exhaust installs. I do a little bit of dirt bike stuff. I'm going to do a little bit of mountain bike stuff here in the spring. Right. You actually have a video of the 2018 Raptor. That's a pretty good review. I saw that. I mean, you got it up on the lift and took a look at the undercarriage and stuff. Yeah, I showed it from the top and the bottom, which most people don't get to see. The bottom is the car. So I've been trying to integrate into my videos some views that people don't normally get to see. Right, right. And you had an awesome install of a Borla exhaust and K&N air intake. Brian is the one who's going to be straight piping the Fusion here. So definitely go check out his channel. He's just starting out, but he really makes good videos and he's a buddy of mine. Man, she looks pretty. I still love this car. I still get compliments of this color right here. Bronze, fire, metallic. All right. So here we got all the boring cats. We got a mid muffler and a gigantic muffler right here, which makes the Fusion so damn quiet. So all this is being removed. And a quick side note here. I did a mudding video in this car. It was a while back. So the car was so dirty. It had mud all, you know, stuck in here. I've never really seen my Fusion up on a rack like this, but I got to say after three years, it is pretty clean underneath. Mid muffler's rusting a little bit. Might as well just remove it. Rust on there. It's not rusty, is it Brian? It is a little bit. That's hilarious. Are you taking it on the road? Oh yeah. Sweet. Fire it up, you want to hear it. All right. So we're ready to start it up here. Let her rip, Brian. It doesn't sound too bad in here. I thought it was going to sound completely horrible. Yeah, it sounds pretty good. All right. Now we're taking that out on the road. This is going to be so droney, dude. It sounds like a Focus ST with an exhaust on. My ass is vibrating. This is going to be so droney when we take it out. This is awesome. Straight pipe Fusion, baby. Oh my God. A little vibration there. A little? Dude, I mean, you cannot drive around like this. It never worked. It's a little loud. A little loud. The vibration is like the worst. Jeez, man. My whole body's shaking. Man, I have driven Hondas that sound exactly like this. Oh wow, yeah. This is a glorified fart can, if anything. It doesn't sound half bad when he pulls off. It doesn't. But when you're inside the car, it is horrific. The whole freaking car shakes. It is so loud in here. This is insane. What do you guys think it sounds like? All right, up there on the bridge is Brian. We got to go pick up there on the bridge. Film is 29 degrees outside. Definitely make sure you go follow him. I mean, he's a good sport. This is so ridiculous. It's just much colder out there than I thought. What did it sound like? It sounds cold. That's inside because you don't hear all that vibration. Right, right, right. In here though, it sounds absolutely awful. The sound is right there where... So just sitting at a red light, it doesn't sound all that bad. As soon as you get on it... Why is this guy revving the Fusion? Did you see that escape that I passed on the highway when I took off? Oh, I didn't notice. No, it wasn't an escape. I gotta forget what it was. When I made the turn to go back, they were like... They were like, what the hell's going on? Yeah, you would die. Do you know about the straight pipe Fusion? We do this to your car. All right, so this is... So this is obviously completely unbearable, so we're going to put it back to stock. I respect the straight pipe Fusion. All right, just like that, we got the exhaust back on. So, FYI, if you, for some odd reason, want to do this yourself, all you need to do on a Fusion is remove these exhaust hangers right here, two of them, and then we got these two nuts right here. Super simple. Much better. So this whole process of getting the exhaust off and then getting it back on, no more than 20 minutes. So obviously, you'll need a rack to simplify things, but I'm sure you could do it with a jack as well and lay underneath the car. It's just going to be a little more cumbersome. All right, so there we have it. The EcoBeast is back to stock like it was about an hour ago. It was a fun video. It was extremely horrific to drive around in this car because the exhaust was pretty much where our seats were. Right, Brian? Oh, yeah. That's why the whole freaking car and the seats were crazy. I definitely have a miniature headache right now. Definitely sounded cooler from the outside than it did from the inside. Yeah, it did.
