Hi guys and welcome back to another video. Today I've got 10 technical mastery exercises to improve
your first touch, your passing and also some ball mastery. We're going to get loads of touches with
all the different surface areas of both feet. For these exercises I'm using a cone. If you don't
have a cone you can use a water bottle or a shoe and I've placed it about three or four steps away
from a wall. You can use a wall, a rebounder or you can even use a training partner, just something
that can rebound the ball back to you. Of course we're going to need a football. Just before we
get into today's exercises I want to say a huge thank you to Squarespace for sponsoring today's
video. Squarespace is where I built my website 7mlctraining.com and from websites to analytics
to marketing tools they're the all-in-one place to grow your online presence and manage your
business. Let's get right into the exercises. For the first exercise we're starting really simple.
We're playing the ball with the inside of our foot at an angle diagonally towards the wall
then we're controlling the ball with the inside of our opposite foot on the opposite side of the cones
then we're going to repeat this rhythm getting 25 to 30 touches on each foot. Start slowly to begin
with then increase the intensity once you gain confidence with it. For all of these exercises
make sure you're on your toes, slight bend in the knee to lower your center of gravity and you're
punching that ball along the surface. For exercise two we're playing the ball once again at an angle
with the inside of our foot. This time we're controlling the ball with the inside of the
Then we're going to continue this pattern for 25 to 30 reps in one direction and then we're
going to go in the opposite direction to get an equal amount of repetitions on both feet.
For exercise three we're playing that 45 degree angle pass once again. This time we're controlling
the ball with the outside of the same foot we passed with. So we're getting to the opposite
side of the cone taking our touch behind and then we're repeating this pattern for 25 to 30 reps
then we're going to exchange feet and go in the opposite direction.
For exercise four we're playing the ball at an angle but this time we're using the outside of
our foot to play the pass then with that same foot we're controlling the ball with the inside
behind the cone. Again we're going to continue this pattern for 25 to 30 reps, change feet
and then go 25 to 30 reps with our opposite foot. For exercise five we're playing that diagonal
pass with the inside of our foot then with our opposite foot we're controlling the ball with a
soft touch using the inside of our foot and exchange into the outside of that same foot
pushing it out of our feet and then we're going to play a diagonal pass once again. For this
exercise you can go 25 to 30 reps on each side so that you get an equal amount of reps on both feet.
For exercise six we're punching the ball at the wall with the inside of our foot then we're
playing another first time pass with the inside of that same foot and then we're rolling the ball
across behind the cone using the sole of that same foot then we're going to repeat the pattern
on the opposite side and go for 25 to 30 reps on both feet. For exercise seven we're playing a 45
degree pass at the wall controlling the ball on the opposite side of the cone this time we're
rolling the ball with our first touch so we're getting a good grab of the ball underside of the
foot rolling it across our body exchanging feet and then playing that 45 degree pass once again.
For exercise eight we're playing that 45 degree pass and then we're controlling the ball with
the inside of our opposite foot this time pushing it behind our standing leg very similar to a
Cruyff turn and then we're going to push the ball behind the cone and then continue this pattern
for 25 to 30 reps and then swap direction and go for another 25 to 30 repetitions.
For exercise nine we're playing the ball at the wall with the inside of our foot
this time opening up taking a back foot touch 90 degrees then with that same foot hook the ball
back with the sole play another inside foot pass and then we're going to finally take the ball
behind the cone with the inside of our furthest foot away then we're going to complete this
entire pattern on the opposite side going for 25 to 30 reps on both feet.
And then for exercise 10 we're playing the ball at the wall controlling the ball with the sole
hooking it behind us and then pushing it with the inside of that same foot behind our standing leg
drag it back towards us with the sole of the opposite foot then roll the ball behind the cone
and repeat this entire pattern on the opposite side. For this one especially
start slowly then once you gain confidence with it increase the speed.
