finally cutting my hair after 3 years

i'm scared why am i nervous? i'm not even- i'm not gonna regret this hello my friends it's nina and i'm cutting my hair off so as you can tell by the title of this video i haven't cut my hair in about three years i think the last time i cut it was 2016 i'm not very sure in 2016 i cut my hair it was like 3am i was feeling really brave and i just cut it off my hair is now super long so this is my hair as you can see it goes to about my hips it's inconveniently long now oh i like my long hair though what am i doing? the longest hair is right near my tailbone as you can see 7pm i have some homework to do but i can't do my homework until i shower and take off my makeup but i can't do any of that until i cut my hair this is kind of like a teaser what kind of short hair would look like on me doesn't look that bad either oh god i'm so scared i like my long hair but it's just become super inconvenient now that it just gets caught everywhere i don't really want to cut my hair this is taking longer than i thought i'm not in the right mind state for this i'm too aware of what i'm doing anywho i'm not doing anything super drastic to my hair i'm just going to cut it i tweeted and said that i wanted bangs i'm not doing that i realized i'm super low maintenance and i just don't want to deal with bangs i also mostly tie my hair up anyway so i feel like bangs will just be pointless and i'm just going to put them away from my face anyway i wanted bangs kind of like curly bangs just on my face and kind of long that frame my face but i kind of already have it so i'm not going to do that also i don't want to have regrets so i think i'm just going to cut a good 10 inches off my hair i also want to donate my hair i've grown my hair for 3 years now i might as well donate it and the minimum length they want for donating hair is about 10 inches i definitely have that i feel like you guys mostly know me for long hair which i understand because i mostly have long hair in my life but there was a period of time from 2016 to whenever that i had short hair no one really knew me at that time so no one really knows that i had short hair but i had short hair i had extremely short hair so whatever i do today i can't really regret it for now i'm going to cut 10 inches and then i'm going to fix my hair length because i know this is probably not the right method okay i don't i don't know how to do this jeez i need to sneeze 10 inches is right here and my hair is like down here if i can't donate my hair i'll just keep this ponytail somewhere keep it as a memory i won't regret this this is good for me okay well i think this will be cute i'm too aware of what i'm doing it's not 3am it's freaking 7pm okay i can do this no one's here to stop me i need this i need to do this i need to do this i'm scared oh shoot that's what i was gonna do i was gonna straighten my hair dang it okay well shoot okay i just remembered i'm going to straighten my hair so i can actually get the length my hair is already kind of straight because my hair is so heavy that it just all like falls apart but my hair is usually wavy curly after a shower as you can see by these waves i'm going to straighten my hair it's been about probably a year and a half since i've straightened my hair my hair's gone i'm gonna miss you it's too long though okay well i'm gonna straighten my hair now oh god i haven't straightened my hair in such a long time in my senior year of high school i straightened my hair almost every single day if not every single day and i don't know how i did that every single morning but i went through a period of time where i just thought straight hair looked better on me now see when i straighten it it's even longer than i thought so i think this is a better method for me because i don't want to cut too much hair off there's a difference oh my god do you see how long it is now i can't believe i did this every single morning my hair is definitely a lot longer than it was when i was a senior in high school because my hair did not go to my hips when i was straight this is kind of relaxing there was a time in middle school when i wanted a straight perm because i felt like i didn't really look asian i remember i wanted bangs like everyone else did back in the day when bangs were cool like the bangs that were on the side i wanted that too my dad cut my bangs but because of my hair texture they ended up flying so it didn't really look that great and i remember there was a time when i was i don't remember what age but it was definitely around middle school that i had these little tiny baby hairs just flying everywhere that i got so annoyed i cut them off i was like bangs won't be there if i cut it right to my scalp i didn't consider that the baby hairs would grow eventually and so i had these little things sticking out of my head eventually do not do that let your baby hairs grow let them shine let them fly away i look like i traveled back to 2015 this is really weird i'm only roughly straightening it because i don't really need it to be perfectly straight and now this is definitely a much more accurate way for me to cut 10 inches off my hair has gotten so long that it just gives me a headache it constantly gets stuck in a lot of places it gets stuck under my arms it gets stuck under my backpack straps it gets stuck in the car door i literally get headaches from the hair that i keep yanking and i have to constantly like adjust my hair you'll see me going like this a lot because i'm trying to pull my hair out it was a real workout and i'm tired of it i just want my hair to be long but not super long at first i was contemplating whether i should have short hair because if i'm cutting my hair you know why not give myself a bob or something but then i thought with my face and with my personality i feel like long hair just fits well my lifestyle also has a factor i like tying my hair up when i had really short hair i wasn't able to tie my hair up i was able to tie some of it but some of it will fall out i couldn't put my hair in a bun i couldn't really do much with it it didn't fit my lifestyle everyone is different but that is just what i like i feel like once i become an ajumma i'm gonna have to have short hair one day and since i already have curly hair i'm already gonna have that ajumma perm oh my god this is what i did every morning why did i do this to myself this is not going to be the most drastic cut i'm still keeping long hair not gonna be as long as you guys are familiar with i feel like i've had super long hair for such a long time that's kind of become my personality it is time to cut and this is still a lot of hair i'm going to cut it at around 11 inches just to be safe my hair is literally my wingspan as you can see it doesn't even fit the frame okay so i'm just going to cut it right above this ponytail it's not gonna be that short i mean it's not going to be that short i'm not very sure but it's definitely easier to cut now that i've straightened it oh my god this is happening it's not going to be that short i think i keep measuring my hair i'm so- this is definitely 10 inches this will be fine oh my god i'm gonna regret this no i'm not i can do this goodbye hair this will be healthy for me i'm gonna- i'm shaking well hair it was a nice three years that i've gotten to be with you um we've been through a lot you know we went to college together i'm about to graduate i guess i'll keep you in my room till i graduate and then i'll send you off you've been there with me through a lot i just wanted to do this once before i cut my hair see my hair is so long i can do this i look like a teletubby my hair is so long i can do this to myself i'm gonna miss my hair it's okay i'll grow out in like a year because my hair is not super short i actually have a picture of myself doing this in high school here i am 21 years old i'm going to cut my hair let's do this here we go i'm not going to have long hair anymore this is it kids um i also want to thank you guys for being there for me when i had long hair now i'm going to have medium long hair it's a new era it's a new time in our lives let's do it let's get it okay ready bye bye oh my god i'm doing it do you hear it oh no am i doing it right i don't think i'm doing this right oh my god i- this is so much for me right now well i definitely cut it wrong this is so weird this is like 10 to 11 inches this is great this is fine but this can get a little shorter is this how you do it i've seen people kind of do it like this honestly there's no difference but there is definitely a difference in the back so what i'm really concerned about is how short my hair is going to be when it's curly i think it looks decent straightened it's really straight so i don't know but i don't want to cut anymore because i know it's going to be curly that's kind of weird well my hair manages to stay in a ponytail which is nice but it's kind of weird especially this i don't know i'm over it it's definitely not going to give me any neck aches anymore i tried cutting this a little bit but i don't want it to be too short but overall this is it this is now my hair length i'm going to take a shower and see what happens i already forgot what i look like with long hair like this is my hair now i did want to give you a closer angle of my hair it's really not as intense as it seems you know what i needed this change i feel different i feel free so i showered about 20 minutes ago and my hair is pretty dry it's still wet around here it's not really wet it's just damp but this is my hair i'm sure it's going to look less choppy as my hair dries more but this is what it looks like nice and short showering was way less work for me because i wasn't dealing with so much hair i did shower with makeup this is the final results just my hair but shorter i'm very happy about it my hair is definitely curlier and it's just lighter and fluffier i did trim some hairs just so it doesn't look like it's all the same length this is shorter this is shorter it's a new nina it's really not the biggest deal but for me i've lived
